Such a cute space! I've always been wanting to stop by because it's always so packed and lively! I really liked my drinks- there's something for everyone there! Super pet and family friendly - great place to hang out after work or the weekend

Unbelievably awful experience. Friend from Puerto Rico (mind you, a US territory) was denied and required to have a US passport (which, you do not need to enter the US, fyi). Both the manager and bouncer were unbelievably rude - telling us to "let them speak" as they yelled and spoke over us, as consumers - and cursed us out as we left. Genuinely, a bar I used to enjoy, and now one I will never EVER return to by their casual racism over our group. Note: the manager said that PR was "not a part of the US", and also told us to refer to the website to see what forms of ID are acceptable. When we asked if credit card was acceptable for second form, she said absolutely not (which is different from, quite literally, every bar I've ever been to); then after being rudely pushed away, she told us that a PR ID is not accepted at any bars under this ownership. BTW, here are their rules on IDs, directly taken from their website (which, in turn, should include a PR ID)

I always pass this place when I'm in Rittenhouse, and finally decided to go the other day. The pretzel bites are amazing. I'm not a big pretzel person but these were GREAT! Also tried the cheesesteak which was also amazing. Inside there is community seating, if you're coming with a did group I'd recommend getting there earlier to find an open table. At each bench there's a QR code to scan and a server brings the food right to your table. You can also pay on your phone which is plus. There's an automatic 20% gratuity added to all bills just fyi. Overall had a great experience and would come again.

Overall great experience. Always places to sit , and dog friendly ! Most a beer spot but they do have some cocktails and overall the food is better than you except. Just a heads up: you order on a QR code so no servers

Super cute holiday pop-up right off of Rittenhouse Square! I love anything Christmassy and this really delivered! When you walk in there is a snow machine, so you are instantly put in the holiday spirit!! There are lots of spot for photo-ops and Instagrammable moments. The main tent area is heated and has snack/food options and a bar. They have some fun themed cocktails (boozy hot chocolate!!), cocktails on tap, full bar, wine, and beer. If you are making your rounds to all the Philly Holiday moments, this is a fun one to add to your list!!

Cute space. Staff is friendly. Cocktails are great and not too strong/weak... just right!

They came to Philly to see Springsteen The second day, they needed a new scene. The wife exclaimed . "A Biergarten is near!" They walked a lap, And soon they were here. The ambiance was truly a dream.

Walnut garden was actually a super fun surprise. I've passed by this beer garden multiple times and now that the weather is warm, I was able to finally stop by for some shade and drinks. It was the middle of the day too so I paused my shopping for a bite. I got the cold sesame noodles as well as the fried cheese bites along with a cheesesteak. I was so surprised at how good everything was! I feel like beer garden food is usually just something that hits the spot and doesn't have to be great, but the food was actually really, really good. The noodles were flavorful and delicious and the udon they used was also the perfect texture. The cheesesteak was solid and also equally delicious. It was also nice to see a few offerings other than just simply burgers. We also each got I think a sangria. I can't remember exactly but they were excellent. Ordering was so convenient and everything came out pretty quickly. There were plenty of tables everywhere both outside in the full sun or under their covered area, and the trailer bathrooms were actually also not that bad and surprisingly clean. I would absolutely come here again, and for sure even recommend this for larger groups. The location of this spot is so convenient and a great place even to just sit for a bit for a quick drink or rest if you've been out shopping.

A perfect spot in the middle of center city! The food service was fast and the bar service even faster. Loved that the space was low key and that the service staff weren't too intrusive. They literally would just pop in to help clear things from the table! This is the perfect spot to catch up with friends or just take a breather from some shopping!

amazing vibes, quick service, kinda hard to find a table but also nice to stand around and chat. music by the dj was really good. drinks were pretty strong and tasty

I've been here twice now and both times have been really nice. I love the ambiance. It's like a hidden urban garden with a wall showing some graffiti and the rest the garden. There was a nice little breeze and the sun was shining both days. It kinda makes you forget you're in Philly a little. I'm a burger guy and the sweetness of the pepper jam mixed with the garlic mayo was tasty. The creamy sesame dressing on the noodles made the dish for sure and while I wasn't a fan of the avocado chimichurri the rest of the roasted cauliflower sandwich was good. While the food was good, I think what put this place at a 5 for me was the place itself and the staff. They know their stuff, move fast and are very hospitable.

The bartender was not only rude, but straight up mean. And the beer on tap was so gross me & my partner left without drinking it.

My family and I got breakfast at Enswell during our stay in Philadelphia. This swanky, hip place…read moreoffers up elevated tasty food and superb service in an exquisitely decorated, albeit small, cafe. We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.

The crab fries and garlic bread are no skips. I hope to come back to try more food! We were lucky to get a table, the hostess was really nice and even found us outside to let us know we could make it! It does get really busy so I felt a bit rushed out but it was all good.
