Just average overall. Tacos are good, but nowhere near great. Tasty and filling but the way they force you into specific combinations of fillings and corn/wheat tortillas is not cool. I just want good corn tortillas, with my choice of fillings. Also, would be better if the tortillas were doubled as I found the wet filling (tinga de pollo) too wet for the single shell. But the real downside to this place is the unfriendly, SLOW moving server. He doesn't smile, and usually only deals with one table on each trip back and forth to the bar/kitchen. At €2.50+ per taco, and €6.00 for a tiny Margarita, just not a good overall experience. Average. On the upside, the space is lovely. Too lovely for the product. read more

Poor poor service if your Spanish is not up to snuff. Had several people seated ahead of me without any regard for order. Once seated I was thoroughly ignored and had to haggle for any attention at all. I really enjoy this style of Mexican, but found this place hit and miss (I do recommend giving it a go. Maybe your luck is better than mine). Highlights: - Nachos - 2 of the 4 tacos I tried. I'm dissapointed in this establishment after reading the previous reviews. I ordered 5 tacos and they all tasted alright. The dissapointing part was the size. Each was about 5 inches (13cm) in diameter and filled with a few pieces of meat. Each taco was about 3 bites apiece. However, each was about 2.3 euros. To get full I would need to spend at least 30 euros. After finishing the waitress said she would fetch the bill and took 25 minutes to do so. I left this establishment feeling robbed. Mexican food in Barcelona? I suppose it's not that far removed. My friends and I were hankering for a taste of California, so we decided to give it a try. The portions here are certainly more tapas style. For example, I ordered guacamole and it came with about 3 tablespoons of guac with a huge pile of chips. Defiantly not the huge portions us Californians are used to (maybe that is why everyone is skinny in Spain?). The tacos were delish, I ordered chicken tinga and a quesadilla. Honestly woof. I had the salad with tuna and I tried to choke down two bites. I think they dumped cat food with oil from the can straight onto some leaves. No dressing. Patatas were covered in some sh** who knows what. Taco was aight. Below average. I had WAY better tacos in Madrid. I'm from the west coast of the USA so I know good Mexican and I wouldn't spend my euros here again.... Lazy service too. Better Mexican food here then in the USA! The tacos were really good! The nachos with cheese and steak went quick! The small upstairs area was very nice and comfortable! Try the Michelado with a Modelo, it has a spicy taste with an old bay flavor. The michelada here is different from the one in the states, but still worth having one! The service was very good. Here are the 6 tacos I ordered: Pirata (beef, avocado, cheese) Trompo (marinated pork in pastor sauce with onion and cilantro) Gringa (marinated pork, cheese) Campechana (marinated pork, beef, cheese, ​and avocado) Tinga de Pollo [chicken cooked at low temperature in tinga sauce (onion tomato and chicken soup for​ 5 hours)] Barbacoa (beef cooked on its sauce for 24 hours at low temperature, with onion and cilantro) I believe the one that made me sick is either the Tinga de Pollo or Barbacoa... I would give it a 0-star if there is that option. Tacquerias Tamarindo of Barcelona, Spain (Carrer de Aragon, 236) hires a staff of RACISTS pigs! We, as a group of Asian tourists (one elderly, four adults, and 5 children) decided to come here for a cultural experience and a taste of the acclaimed Mexican cuisine due to their high positive reviews on Yelp. We arrived at the restaurant by 20:45pm. Two waiters decided that our group was not worthy of this experience so they decided to made up reasons to not seat us. First, waiter#1 explained that the space upstairs is too tight, that we will not be comfortable. I then noticed a WC sign (Toilet) pointed upstairs, so I asked to borrow the toilet, when I arrived upstairs, what I saw was empty spacious seatings, with only one table occupied by two guests. When I returned downstairs, waiter#2 had removed my mother-in-law and other members of my family from the table near the entrance and placed two "reserved" signs at the table. I then returned to waiter#1 to politely asked to explain the reasons for what they did, he now explained that the upstairs dining will not be open until 21:00pm and that the entrance tables are reserved for special guests. Automatically, their actions would infuriate any human species, but I calmly asked to speak with the manager, they giggled as cowards usually do and told me that the manager is not in. An exchange of a few heated comments then followed. Feeling disgusted, disappointed and defeated, we left the restaurant. It would not had been that disappointing if we had not walked 1.5 miles to this location from our lodging. I hope that the Owner of this restaurant reads this negative review and contact me to point out the two waiters who are doing harm to their business. In this modern era of diversity and acceptance it is a disappointment that racism still continues. I hope this is not a representation and the attitude of the Spanish people and only that the action of a few cowards. If the owner do contact me about this unpleasant matter, only then I will remove this review, otherwise I would continue to speak negatively about this restaurant. By now one might be wondering could this review be a reflex response to a bitter experience with hatred and vengeance towards the waiters or restaurant? Or, can we see this review in a larger scope. What if we see it as a preventive measure so that the owner of this restaurant seek actions towards a small step in the right direction, in ridding this world of the savages and disgusts of racism. Or more so that other families will not have to go through what we did, returning to their homes from Spain with a more pleasant memory. read more

Delicious tacos! Meat lovers should definitely try the Pirata, simple yet great. The Chorizo taco is interesting, and a must-try for lovers of the spicy sausage. This place is small but had cute decor. They claimed it was Mexican food but we thought otherwise. We ordered the Thinga, barbacoa, and carne asada tacos. The Thinga taste like they made it with tomato sauce from a can or catsup (had a hint of sweetness, it's not how you make it), the barbacoa needed more flavor it was too bland, the carne asada was not the usual cut of meat to make asada tacos ( they had bigger chunks of meat), and they only serve it on one corn tortilla (big no no, should always be served with two). We also ordered the nachos and they were decent but I still prefer the Mexican/American nachos. Their salsas were pretty good. And the Jamaica agua frescas needed more flavor. The prices were a bit high. We're used to paying a buck to a buck fifty per taco the most. We were glad we found this other place cuz we were craving ceviche ( hubby's fave) it was called the Rosa Negra... Very very good read more
