This is the worst Mexican food I have ever seen! My hubby wanted Mexican breakfast. It was so disappointing. Tasted off, super dry , I even ordered the eggs over easy and they came scrambled and dry. I ordered a nacho plate for my kids to try. The j's hos were soggy and buried under tons of something wet and separating from itself anddddd lettuce. Large chunks of peppers and onions also hit barely any meat. Just a soggy, awful looking mess. I will never order from this place again and I hope they close for everyone's safety. I stopped by with my boyfriend and food was not good. We purchase a picadita($5) and a cemita which is 11 according to the menu. We also purchased a bong and a small drink. According to the menu fresh drinks are $4 and bongs are 3. Adding 5+11+3+4 = 23 but yet I was charged $25. I expected my food to have the best quality but ended up being alright. Taqueria Acatlan feels like a homey place. There isn't a lot of seating but good for part of 2-4. The portions are big so it's worth it even if it's on the expensive side. But still pocket-friendly in a way. We mostly get tacos when we go there and they don't disappoint. Perfect food before or after a night out with friends. The food from this place is bland, soggy, and just plain bad. There are so many better authentic mexican restaurants in the area, i don't know how anyone eats here. Tried to give it a second chance and it was just as bad as I remembered. The veggie tacos had carrots and potatoes with a weird half jalapeño in them and absolutely no flavor. We tried a burrito which itself was good. It was a substantial size too. But we received a salsa verde only half full (definitely not enough for an entire huge burrito) but the reason we will not be returning was the side of vegetables and pico that we received; the tomatoes were slimy and had a thick film on them like they've been sitting around for a LONG time. I've been coming for the lengua tacos, but I was really hungry one day so I decided to try the pozole (a pork soup). It did not disappoint. Very delicious, very filling. It was a huge quart of soup (with a red powder even to turn it into pozole rojo if you wanted!) with two tostadas. It's a bit pricier than the other stuff on the menu, but totally worth it if you're hungry and want something warm and filling. A lot of the people complaining seem to have ordered delivery. I can't speak to that, I just know that if you pick up your food in person, it is delicious and the price is very fair. read more

Imagine a taco truck that has no wheels. That is Taqueria El Paisa. Yes there's a building but you order at a sidewalk facing window and eat leaning near it (or the at the one tiny table). Since I was riding my bike, this was perfect as I didn't have to lock everything up, but instead ate curbside. The lack of restaurant space is also reflective in their pricing... two heaping meat tacos and a coke cost a mere $5. Everything is cooked to order and I was encouraged by the two men prepping cilantro. I really liked the carnitas but the beef was a tad salty. Still, the ladies cooking were nice and the men got a little worried when I snapped some photos, but I assured them I wasn't "The Man." I'm a tad jealous there's no permanent sidewalk Mexican place near me, but then again, i might never buy groceries if there was. If nearby, check it out. read more

Best enchiladas! We were wandering around on New Year's Day and this place was open and looked good. The service is a little bit slow but they make all their tortillas fresh and the enchiladas are the best I've had. I got barbacoa with green sauce. Tacos were also great. Extra thrills added when the staff pop out of a trap door in the floor. read more

I always want to give a fair review and I am a easy customer. This is my Second time ordering and same thing happened. Listen to this; I ordered at 12:01. I ordered 5 tacos and my house is 15mn from the restaurant... I received my order at 1;25! Do the math; 5 tacos, not even a full meal. I gave two stars because at least they picked up the phone but if you plan on being hungry at 12(sacarsm) order ahead of time otherwise you will be pissed. My husband had the time to sleep, I had to wake him up to go take the order. Please be aware of the "almost two hours" delivery. read more

Tacos! 3 for $6. It's so cheap and delicious, how could you not. I had the Al Pastor, Cecina (salted beef) and Chorizo tacos. The come in two flour tortillas, topped with cilantro and tomato. okay so this is a harsh review but like damn that quesadilla deserves a one star i bought a quesadilla from here not once, not twice but THREE times and every time it has been a scary and traumatic experience. i keep forgetting and making the same mistake but NOT ANYMORE. it is about 10lbs in weight, won't fit the to-go container and will probably rip the bag you're carrying it in after a while. when i say this quesadilla is 90% cheese I MEAN IT. worst part is the cheese is of such low quality it reminds me of some sort of latex or plastic. this was definitely not just from a cow. some industrial ingredients have made their way into this taco shop's cheese. there's something dark-sided in that! i'm convinced this place is laundering cheese... ugh. also even the nachos are suuuuper greasy and unenjoyable. they slather the chips in weird WET cabbage mixed in with some dairy mixture that will give you the runs next morning. and trust me i don't mind the runs so long as the dairy is delish (think five guys milkshake). i live on this street and tell everyone who's in the area to never go here, even if its the only place open till 4. just go scramble some eggs instead, you're better off. so gross read more
