Poor customer service. They locked the door in my face as I tried to enter. Not even a glance at me or a word to say why.

Great tacos! They have flour and corn tortillas! Meat and other ingredients were fresh. Their horchata tasted also good.

Looking for good food! The food here is so yummy. The Birrias tacos are enough for 2 people. Lots…read moreof lime, cilantro & onion and a side of consumme & charro beans. The flavor is spot on - the green & red sauce add a good amount of spice to offset the richness of the meat. We also had the street corn which is creamy & delicious. We had a 1/2 lb of Chicherones - they were high quality pork belly - crispy on the edges & fatty in the middle. I prefer the cracklins, but these were delicious. We had 1 other taco entree, but the name escapes me now. I was assured it was also delicious. I definitely recommend this place. Don't think you'll get away cheap from this place because you won't... but I must say it was worth every penny!! The staff is very friendly too. We will definitely go back.

From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. The place has a cozy vibe with maybe 15 tables, and late on a Sunday evening it was nicely chill. They even had a guy playing guitar and singing live - it really added to the relaxed atmosphere. The food is killer. I ordered the burrito ranchero and it was absolutely amazing - packed with flavor and perfectly executed. The churros were a bit overdone, but everything else more than made up for it. I can't wait to try more items on the menu before I head out of town. If you're looking for great Mexican food in a welcoming setting, stop by here. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

The bathrooms weren't the nicest but also not the worst--one of the stall doors didn't lock, though they had added something to help with that. The inside is pretty nice, and our waiter came over shortly after we were seated. We ordered appetizers and drinks, and the appetizers arrived in about 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the service wasn't the best. Our server would leave for long periods and didn't check on us, even though she passed by our table multiple times and we clearly needed assistance. She also addressed us with very casual language like "yeah," which didn't feel very professional. That said, the food was excellent. Everything starting with the chips and salsa was great--the salsa was one of the best fresh salsas I've ever had. We also ordered the cheese quesadillas, and they were perfect in every way. My entrée was delicious as well; the cheese and meat were cooked perfectly, and the rice and beans were great. (I got the fajita Monterrey) Overall, the food was very tasty, but the service could definitely be more professional. Also, the menu is not very flexible--you can't substitute ingredients (like removing onions from the guacamole) or order off-menu items such as egg tacos, even though they have the ingredients. The food was good, but I'm not sure I loved the service.

I enjoyed the chile con queso and the salsa here. Order the skinny margaritas and they were delicious. The drinks here are made very well. Definitely some of the best margaritas I've had. For dinner plates we order the beef and chicken fajitas. I didn't try the beef fajitas but I will say I didn't enjoy the chicken fajitas. The chicken was kinda dry and not flavorful. The tortillas were amazing. I've had enchiladas here before and I think I would have enjoyed those again instead of the chicken fajitas. Overall great service, nice atmosphere, and some good dishes I enjoy.

I am now addicted to the salsa, and the chips are perfect. We now go regularly, so I've changed my previous review from 4 stars to 5 stars. Also, the staff are all wonderful. Prasham has become one of our favorites. My husband and I ate at LA Vista Cocina for the first time today. The restaurant was very clean with a nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly and very gracious in trying to make sure we had a good experience. We were served salsa and chips, and although we loved the warm salsa, the chips had a taste that neither of us cared for. I'm not sure if it was the oil or lard that they were fried in, but we both noticed it right away. We still ate them because the salsa was really yummy. Both of us ordered the house tacos. The menu has a lot of interesting entrees, but I was looking for a combination type platter so I could try a taco, enchilada, and tamale, but there wasn't anything like that on the menu. We were served generous portions, and the refried beans were very good. The rice was dry and bland, but it was okay after I poured a bunch of salsa on it. The taco shells were on the stale side, and although my husband noticed the same odd taste that was in the chips, I had poured quite a bit of salsa in each of mine, so I didn't notice. Overall, the restaurant and waitstaff were top notch, but unfortunately, we didn't feel the same about the food we had. Maybe we'll try ordering something different next time.
