It had a cute patio (it was too cold at the time) and inside is somewhat intimate with how dimly lit it is. Service was pretty straightforward, we ordered and we were checked on consistently. I had ordered Manuel's enchiladas and they were so perfectly saucy. I like that there was a variety because I can never make up my mind on what I want. Love this hidden gem! The staff is super kind, attentive, knowledgeable and prompt. From the outside, it looks like a tiny restaurant but upon entering it's actually much larger than I expected with very tasteful decor and a great vibe! Loved the music they played and interior. We were greeted upon arrival and seated quickly. We were free served chips salsa and drinks quickly and ordered the carne asada... AMAZING!!! The steak was tender and a big portion. The beans and rice were seasoned well and prices were very reasonable! Our bill was less than $25 with a margarita! Absolutely delicious! Honestly, this review is purely for the fajitas because I tried them once and have been stuck ordering them every time because they are so good. Both chicken and beef were cooked perfectly and the quantity was plentiful. Most of the time I get them to go but I did stop in one time and the service was excellent. This shop is very cute. There's a table in the back with enough seating for a large party and that's where my climbing crew parked ourselves after a long and arduous gym session. We came for the happy hour and stayed for the cozy atmosphere, the kindness of the waitstaff and the delicious looking food. A friend got queso for the table to accompany our chips and salsa and it was sooo rich, creamy and cheesy. I had to keep myself in check in order to not devour the whole thing. The friend got a chimichanga and absolutely demolished it. He loved it! I split an enchilada plate with my other friend and the meat was very tasty, seasoned and not too salty. The rice was also very delicious. The others got different enchiladas which basically look like how you'd expect. One friend was not hungry and got churros as a snack and she loved them. However, we were searching for a Tex Mex place and this place had a bunch of 4 stars reviews so we took a chance on it. First impressions were surprising. It looks like a small place from the outside but it was quite large once we stepped through the door. It was authentic Tex Mex and truly family run business . We both got their enchiladas plates and one included a taco. The food is as good as it gets for Tex Mex. There were several family's dining with small children which is how we figured out that these people live in the neighborhood. Ok so we came here for the first time today. We ordered the Chicken Enchiladas w/ Poblano sauce and the Carne Asadas w/ flour tortillas. Man let me tell you this place is good!! The enchiladas really blew me away. If you are Latino or Latina in any way these dishes will remind you of that taste of home and i give this place huge credit for that. The food we ordered had that homade taste that i feel most places fail to achieve, so kudos. We have been visiting their Plano location until COVID. Today we decided to try out the Dallas location which is half a mile closer to our place. The restaurant is spacious and clean. The service is excellent. The food is good but the food at the Plano location is better in comparison. My favorite is their Mama's Skillet, which is two eggs, on top of a hash of Potatoes, Bacon, topped with Pico de Gallo and Cheese. The one that was served was good but the Pico de Gallo was all Tomatoes, the Bacon was cut in strips as against bit size and the potatoes were not diced small and as as result some potatoes were undercooked. The Chilaquiles on the other hand was great. The beer was cold and the service was warm. Overall a very good experience. read more

My husband had the brisket enchiladas. Instead of putting brisket in the enchilada, it's in the sauce on top and the enchiladas are filled with potato. I had the taco salad and it was an actual salad - not a giant fried tortilla bowl. Delicious! The queso with chorizo was very thick cheese, almost like queso fundito, and delicious. Definitely rich enough for multiple people to enjoy. All of the portion sizes, including appetizers, are generous. If you are inclined to eat smaller meals, consider sharing or plan to be able to take leftovers home. Second time here. First time was great, second experience not as good. Very busy place. We were seated, received water. Took a while for waiter to come back for order and we were still looking at menu, but ready for drinks and were never asked and didn't get a chance. So wait some more. Then on second return, we ordered food, no mention of drinks and we asked if we could order drinks. For me, this sets the stage. I like to have a marg while I'm enjoying my chips/salsa. That didn't happen. We ordered brisket quesadillas and guiso. I order guiso a lot and everyone makes it differently. Most with beef, but typically chunky, flavorful, with potatoes, veggies. This was soup, with little pieces of pork. Not like any guiso I've ever had and enough sodium to last me an entire week. There was good flavor, but I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do with soup and tortillas. The tortillas were perfect though. The brisket quesadilla was perfect. The margs were very good. The salsa was very good. So while I can't say I wouldn't come back just because of one dish, as I will, but I just won't be having the guiso. Everything else is spot on. read more
