Busy after church lunch wow but got the 4 of us in and we were hungry! Have had BCD in other locations but not this particular one. Couldn't wait to try especially being hungry. This was soft tender and so tasty -ample rice -always like the little side fish they give -panchans were good -place was hopping -nice waitstaff and server -gave us to go boxes without haste -refilled panchans we needed -liked the AC in here ! Con- price a bit steep but not that it's unexpected esp kalbi but wish they gave more for that price -lots of noodles in the squid dish masking the lack of squid -fish was good but lots of bones -panchans and kimchi was good but expected a bit more -rushed bc yes place was busy so can't help that Otherwise ~ tasty that's all I can say. Glad I tried it but there are other go to places in Carrollton that we usually hit. This was similar to Chodang across the street but they've gone downhill too. We just went here over the weekend and had an overall positive experience dining here. The service was very friendly with us and they were able to help us navigate the menu with our vegan dietary restrictions. Our waiter was able to customize our tofu bibimbop dish to make it vegan. The first time they brought out our order, they forgot to remove the egg which they were very apologetic about. They replaced our dish and had a new one out very quickly. The waitresses also helped explain how much gochujang sauce to add since it was our first time eating here. First time here. So to start off, I like how their menus are on the paper placemats. Definitely better than touching those nasty plastic menus they have at other places. I ordered the hot stone beef bibimbap. If you like your food to be very very hot during the entire time that you're eating your meal, then this is the dish for you. I got it for the experience, but I wish that I got the regular one, since it took me longer to eat it. It also had a small amount of beef, which I felt was a bit stingy. I've been to other places that are more generous with that. The sides were pretty good, so overall the meal was ok. My boyfriend got the spicy pork bulgogi, which had good flavor. BCD Tofu House is a Korean chain restaurant that started in Los Angeles, CA. This particular location we visited was in Carrollton, TX, which happened to be the only BCD Tofu House in Texas. There is a lot of parking available since it's in a plaza that is shared with several other businesses. Our group of four was seated within ten minutes of arriving on a Sunday during lunch time. It was quite busy, so it was surprisingly we didn't have to wait longer than those ten minutes. We ordered the Seafood Pancake, Galbi (beef short ribs), Spicy Raw Crab, two Assorted Tofu Soup, and Spicy Rice Cakes to share. The Seafood Pancake and Galbi were good! The Assorted Tofu Soup was okay. It was a bit plain in terms of flavoring. The Spicy Raw Crab was a lot spicier than we imagined. It was good, but hard for me to enjoy because of how spicy it was. The Spicy Rice Cakes was also spicy, but not as much as the Spicy Raw Crab. The food we ordered along with all the side dishes came out relatively quickly. Ah man I love soondubu. A good one can make or break my day. But a Korean establishment that has delicious banchan, elevates TF out of the entire meal. I visit Dallas for work, and this is the only place I go to every time I visit for work. It's hella good. The cuttlefish / squid is probably my favorite - you don't really see this offered as a standard banchan. Closely in second, is the fried croaker fish. So crispy, and as long as you're familiar with it, you can eat the entire fish as the bones are pretty small and brittle (but I would highly recommend only doing this if you're familiar with eating fish, especially swallowing bones). Everything else - Kimchi, pickled cucumber, fish cakes, broccoli - were all very solid. Their LA Galbi is amazing. A combo with a heaping portion of delicious sweet+savory galbi, a clay pot of white rice, and your choice of fluffy, spicy soondubu. I honestly can't imagine a better way to warm up from a cool winter night in Dallas! Lastly but needed, the service was great. I often come here solo due to business, and the ajummas here are so attentive - I feel like I'm at home being closely scrutinized by my elders on if I'm eating well enough and to properly leave extremely full. Very delicious food here. My family has gone to this place a few times for both lunch and dinner. If you're new to Korean food, I highly recommend a place like this since they've offer common meals you can find at most places. They offer lots of side dishes along with your meals (as a set) and they also bring out the food pretty quickly (don't need to wait long for it). They serve hot delicious soups (with different spice levels, usually we would go for mild), as well delicious meat plates like bulgogi (thinly sliced meat pork or beef) and galbi (Korean short ribs). They also have other dishes like tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes and fish cakes) and noodles (I think...) either ways, it's a wonderful place to visit if your in Dallas, and especially if your in need of a peaceful mealtime. There's a reason this is my favorite chain restaurant. If I'm in Dallas you can be assured, I'm eating here. The depth of flavors in their soft tofu soup (soondubu) cannot be matched. Their kimchi is better than you can get in any Hmart or Korean grocery store and is as close to homemade as you can get. While living in Austin, I can't get anything close to this good (even the one soondubu restaurant doesn't come close). Plenty of banchan that are also authentic (be sure to watch the video on the tvs, as they tell you the story of their tofu). read more

I was unaware that my entire bipbimbop was going to the ice cold and you mix hot rice into it but again I'm not a Korean food expert so please get the hot stone bipbimbop if you want a hot dish. The food here is really good! I typically get intestine tofu soup because that's one of my favorite meats. They use both the honey comb tripe, beef stomach, and small intestines! So you get a bit of all. Their Galbi is also really good; savory and sweet with the grill marks making it smokey :) Their cuttlefish banchan is my favoritteee. I love getting it when I go here. BCD Tofu House is my favorite spot for some Korean comfort food. They offer a variety of combo dishes that includes an entree and a soup. The best soup to get is the kimchi pork tofu soup. It's THE best kimchi soup I've had in DFW and nothing even comes close. Their bibimbap hot stone comes out scalding hot and the stone pot allows the rice to have crispy bits at the bottom. The vegetables are always so fresh and vibrant. Also get the seafood pancake as an appetizer! This pancake is super crispy and filled with seafood in each bite. The mackerel here is seasoned very lightly so you can taste the buttery soft meat of the fish. Service is always fast despite how busy they are. Our favorite place to eat Soon Tofu! They were so quick to bring out the food and seat us. We were the fifth group in line but we got seated in less than 30 minutes.
