Here's the September 2020 update: - Prices have gone up from $1.18 to $1.75 a taco and it's cash only, so prepare in advance. - Asada tacos are $2 and lengua tacos are now $3 - The seating area is closed but you can just park and eat in your car no problem - They give you salsa to go and all the condiments that the seating area used to have, so you won't be missing out on all the extras Overall, yes there is a price increase but the food is still as good as always and I encourage you to continue supporting this local business during this crisis.

I have been to this food truck so many times. It is a staple in the community. Their food is always very fresh and authentic. I always get the chicken street tacos which is always delicious and full if flavor. I also tried the pork taco which they are delicious too. My son had the veggie burrito that he gobbled down quickly. He said it was good too. I will always keep coming back here for the great tacos.

This place ALWAYS has great food! Original recipes, made fresh and to order. Good chance you will have a line, but service is pretty fast. My vegan daughter orders the rice and the beans minus the cheese, with grilled tortillas. We always seem to get the quesadillas... lots of meat options! The Spiced beef is great, my wife loves the Chicken. The pickled Vegetables with onions, jalapenos, carrots are the bomb! Hot sauce here is also their original recipe. Tacos are a good bet too! Many other options available. You are missing out if you don't give this place a try. There is an inside seating area as well. Public bathroom too. Here is the catch, CASH ONLY! Hope you enjoy this hidden jewel.

If you like Street Tacos....this is the place. I've been coming here off and on for years. I stumbled upon it while living in Smyrna. This is a real taco truck with a building "attached" where you can sit inside and eat. Pork, chicken, Carne Asada, Chorizo, Beef Tongue, Spicy Beef...just to name a few on fresh tortillas grilled to order. Onions and Cilantro top these babies off served with pickled carrots, onions and jalapeños and picante on the side. At a $1.25 each or a Taco Plate of 3 plus rice and beans for $7...who could be mad? Quesadillas, Tortas and burritos are also on the menu and these can be ordered individually or as a plate with rice and beans. Everything is cooked to order and they are a CASH ONLY vendor with plenty of drink options but NO alcohol. There could be a line at any time of the day but it's worth the wait. Happy Eats

I give this taco truck 5 stars, because it's in an unusual area with good food. I am always eating tacos/ mexican, so when I want that authentic taste, I go here. Another great thing about this place is the distance from my house, which is less than a mile. It's good to go early because they can get really crowded.

I really loved this place but I just spit out a freakin ROCK from my burrito .. SMH! Now I'm wondering if they pick food up off the floor and serve us...

The food here is amazing. My medical assistant recommended it, nothing that the food was "so good." So naturally, I had to check it out myself. I sent after running some errands yesterday and got the Taco Plato and with three hearty, delicious beef tacos, rice, and refried beans. I love especially the way they do the carrots--they have a sweet and savory flavor to them. I don't know what they do to them but they are so delicious. The quesadilla was also so delicious. There's such an authentic taste and fresh flavor to their food that you know it is made by people who really love to share their culture through the food that they make. It's noted and felt. Check them out. They are tucked in a parking lot on Favor Road in Marietta so you can missed them if you are driving too quickly, but parking is ample. I understand lines are often long but later in the day it doesn't seem to be. Bravo!

This is the Place...next to Favor Market under a "garage."

It's held at Taylor-Brawner Park off Atlanta Rd, which is a great location to spread out, have a mini picnic, and enjoy! The ambiance is family, community, and definitely giving summer! There's a playground for the kids, live music by local performers, and there are bathrooms with changing tables if you have littles that require them. It does get hot since this is Atlanta in the summer so prepare accordingly. The food trucks are mostly a variety yet there have been times when some of the trucks offered the same types of food (fries, tenders, burgers/sandwiches) which can be a buzz kill, so I would recommend going on the City of Smyrna government page on Facebook to see which trucks would be in attendance that day to avoid disappointment. There are some trucks that are there each Tuesday with the King of Pops being one of them. And they have vegetarian and vegan options as well. Ding ding! Most of the vendors accept cards so having a mix of cash and cards is better but not required. Again, I love it and so does my family since there's something for everyone to enjoy! Attend, you won't be disappointed!

I arrived around 6:45pm and had no problem finding parking. The event is well organized and there are staff that direct you to open parking spaces. You know this is not in the city because there is no fee to park!! You heard me correctly-- FREE PARKING!! The crowd was a great mix, families with kids, couples, friends and tons of fur babies! There is not really any specific organized activity, but be creative. Some people had hammocks set up, balls to play kick ball with and some were just sitting or standing around talking. It's all about what you make it There were a ton of food truck options. I was overwhelmed, but did finally decided to try the Blaxican Food truck. I ordered the collard green quesadilla. The greens were seasoned with turkey meat and had a hint of spiciness to them. I enjoyed every bite of my order! I also had the infamous sesame fries from another truck. I can't recall the name of that truck, but if you see sesame fries on the menu order them. They are only $4.00 and will worth each dollar! Of course I had to have desert. I tried the praline pecan pie from the New Orleans themed truck! Oh my gosh, it is divine!!! If you are up for being around people, eating good, enjoying the beautiful weather, this is the spot to go on a Tuesday evening!

Check the Alpharetta Food Truck Alley's Facebook page for the latest operating hours and food truck lineups. We visited this past Thursday (9/5) and the alley was packed with people. This apparently is the place to be in Alpharetta. I counted about 10-12 food trucks. More than I expected. Some of the trucks included: Freckled & Blue - modern Southern A Movable Feast - French crepes The Pup Truck - hot dogs King of Pops - gourmet popsicles Happy Belly - natural foods Champion Cheesesteaks Mighty Meatballs Yoli's Street Food - Cuban sandwiches Most of the trucks were lined up on Old Roswell St. (the "alley") between Roswell St. and Milton Ave. There were a lot of people and a lot of activity going on. There were two separate bands performing live music. There was a large inflatable bounce house for kids to play in. There was a large picnic area underneath the shade of giant trees. All the spots were taken. Various free parking is located throughout downtown Alpharetta. It's all about finding a spot. If you're lucky, you can find a spot in the parking lot directly behind the food truck alley. There's also a free public parking lot off of Roswell St. Old Roswell St. feeds directly into this lot from the east. Signs to this "public parking" lot are well marked. You can definitely tell you're in the suburbs here. There are a plethora of families with kids. There are also several teenagers, some accompanied by parents, some not. Like other food truck parks, this place is dog-friendly. I saw at least 2 Alpharetta police officers on-duty at the event. One of the officers was assisting people with parking. I don't think there are adequate trash/recycle bins here. The trash cans that we used were overflowing with trash. Also, the only restrooms available were two porta potties located next to some smelly dumpsters. Awesome. At least each porta pottie came equipped with hand sanitizer. Overall, I liked the Alpharetta Food Truck Alley. It's certainly nice and convenient for the residents of Alpharetta to be able to experience food trucks from all over Atlanta in their own back yard. However, if you don't live in or nearby Alpharetta, it's not worth the drive because these same food trucks can often be found at the Atlanta Food Truck Park on Howell Mill Rd. or at other food truck meetups around the city. Tip: B.Y.O.B. (even if it's just water) so you don't to shell out extra money for overpriced beverages.

Since Smokejack BBQ is an actual restaurant, I figured we can go anytime so I didn't walk over to their tent. I quickly learned that was a mistake because their food looked the best with nicely sized portions at great prices. I will definitely be stopping by the next time I'm there! I tried a Chicken Sandwich called the "Not-So-Ordinary Chicken Sandwich" from Happy Belly. As the description sounded amazing, my actual sandwich was extremely disappointing. It included a small round chicken breast, gouda cheese, couple leaves of Arugula, and a special sauce. To be honest, most of the sandwich was Ciabatta Bread. For $8.50, I could've gotten better but I don't blame the event! I would definitely be back to try a different food truck since I love food trucks!

Atlanta is better off for having food trucks (and this park, specifically). Despite the cloudy, on-and-off drizzly weather, the park had a good turnout of patrons between 7-9pm on a Thursday night. Thanks to those who braved the elements for our UYE (http://www.yelp.com/events/atlanta-atlanta-food-truck-park-uye). The food truck/food stand lineup was pretty good: Sweet Auburn BBQ Corn-a-Cue One Love Jerk Grill Metro City Dogs Lemonade Stand WOW! Food Truck Ibiza Bites Chay J's New Orleans Candies Rouxd Food Truck King of Pops Yum Yum Cupcake Verizon also had a stand. I've been following the park's official calendar (http://www.atlantafoodtruckpark.com/calendar/) over the past month and noticed Thursday nights are the ideal weeknight (excluding Fridays) to go for the most trucks and the best selection. I suspect there might have been more trucks last night if it wasn't for the weather. I ended up trying a little bit of everything: Arepas (Venezuelan sliders) from WOW! Food Truck Beef brisket with Asian pear slaw taco from Sweet Auburn BBQ Goat cheese-stuffed fried green tomatoes from Ibiza Bites Creole pretzels and Creole popcorn from Chay J's I'll be posting reviews for each of those trucks in the next few days. If you come for dinner, I recommend coming on the early side as the food trucks only have a limited supply of items and do sell out. This leads some trucks to close early. I saw many menus with marked off items that had sold out for the day. Yum Yum Cupcakes shut down early because they sold out of their cupcakes for the day. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much seating the park had. I counted 16 large picnic tables in the main "dining" area, most with umbrellas. Each picnic table can seat up to about 8 people each. The picnic tables are located on a flat, paved surface. The food trucks are located in a large gravel lot. This lot has 4 communal standing tables and 2 additional picnic tables. So overall, this spot has quite a bit of seating, which is convenient. Also, plenty of trash cans and recycling bins to keep the grounds looking relatively clean. The park is family and dog-friendly. It can be a little loud because you're around all these big trucks and next to busy Howell Mill Rd. You can BYOB, so save money by bringing your own drinks. If you want water, I saw some trucks selling it for $1 per bottle. There is one restroom and it's a "Johnny on the Spot" porta-potty in the parking lot with portable sink outside so you can wash your hands. There is ample free parking behind the park. Turn onto Emery St, next to the Shell Station on Howell Mill, to find it. If you need more detailed directions, check out the park's FAQ here: http://www.atlantafoodtruckpark.com/faqs/. The parking lot is old and filled with pot holes, so drive carefully. I saw someone puncture their car's tire by running over a broken-off metal sign post on the ground (she was trying to make too tight of a turn around the dining area). Note that every Wednesday and Friday night throughout the summer, the park will be playing movies for free. Also, from time to time, there is live music. On the weekends, there's a food market with rotating vendors and an artists market coming soon. Overall, I'm very happy with the Atlanta Food Truck Park and definitely plan on returning.
