This is my favorite Mexican place to eat in the Falls. It's not very big, but homey and decorated in a Mexican theme. I have eaten other things, but I can almost never get past the tacos. They are friggin' magnificent. I usually have three, but sensible people will probably only need two. I have tried almost every taco on the menu, and they are all great, but my standard trio is campechanos, lengua, and barbacoa. I love them the most. Savory, and deliciously spicy. They serve chips and salsa, and I'm pretty sure they make both there, and they are really good. They also have a little fixins bar, with cilantro, lime, and whatever else you need for tacos. This is one of my most recommended places to eat for friends coming into town for supper. Every single person I have sent has loved it. There are other Mexican places nearby, but this is hands-down my go-to. read more

A new restaurant opened up down the street from me so I had to stop for a visit. This building first started off as Dickies donuts , A burritos shop never would catch on, but this new Mexican restaurant is now in this location. Brand new menu. They're changing it all the time. Food was very very tasty. I like my Mexican food hot and it was hot be careful what you ask for. The staff was very friendly. Made some good suggestions but before I really give it a review I'm going to stop a few more times And go through the menu a little bit It seems to me this is a very nice place to have a quick lunch and get back on the road read more

We were lucky to choose Taco Tuesday evening for our visit. The tacos are normally $3 each but for taco Tuesday they are $1. 99. I opted for three chicken tacos. They were loaded with chicken and you add your own toppings from their fixings bar. This was plenty for a meal for me. They came in a double soft corn tortilla shell. Of course we started with the complimentary chips and salsa. My wife ordered a steak burrito of which she finished half, as that was plenty for her. There is no alcohol service at the moment. I live this place. The food is amazing and the customer service is out of this world. I really enjoy the tacos and quesedillas. My favorite part is the condiment bar when you can pick and choose your salsas and peppers. It's absolutely delicious. My fiance loves the food. He always talks about how authentic it is. I can't wait to go back. I highly reccomend. One thing I wish they had is a liquor license. That food with a mango margarita would be amazing. I hope it happens soon!!! read more

I stopped in for a quick take out lunch. They have a TON of options- between tacos, burritos, tortas, as well as starters. I opted for an easy carnitas burrito. The meat was super tender and it came with rice, beans, cheese, and there is a Complete salsa bar that was a great bonus. I got some pico de gallo as well as an avocado and cilantro salsa. Very creamy and the perfect topping to this. I waited a bit, but it was a busy lunch crowd, so there's nothing you can do about that. I'll be back to try the Birria! read more

Honestly, I feel horrible leaving a one-star review... I'm not that type of person and generally don't like to complain because I appreciate how difficult and hectic working in a restaurant can be. In fact, we did not complain here either- we just chose to pay our bill and leave. The food was... awful. We got chicken nachos & it looked like canned chicken. The strawberry lemonades were dole brand strawberry lemonades in plastic bottles. My asada quesadilla tasted like greasy, low quality steak and cheese sub, and neither of our teenagers could take more than a few bites of their burritos. My fiancé got birria tacos and they were not crunchy at all- they were floppy and soggy, and the sauce was straight grease with no flavor. Honestly, do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to eat. We are here on vacation and I like to eat local when we're on a trip, but I really wish we had gone to Chili's or Olive Garden tonight. New local establishment, checked out the menu online and I must say it was looking pretty satisfying. I opted for a Birria which was suggested by a friend. It consisted of four tortillas filled with the stew's tender, juicy meat. The tortillas are dipped in the thin layer of fat that floats to the top of the birria, then filled with meat and thrown on the griddle, giving them their Yelp worthy look and addictively crispy exterior. It also comes with a traditional ancestral soup or stew made from a combination of chili pepper-based goat meat adobo, garlic, cumin, bay leaves, and thyme, and cooked at a low heat. Amazing new taqueria around Niagara Falls. Recently opened and their staffs were friendly and helpful. Went there during lunch hours on Friday and wasn't so busy. Food came out pretty quick and very tasty. If you are ordering tacos, there's a separate toppings bar, similar to most taqueria around US. Ordered 3 tacos (2 tripas and 1 lengua) and a regular horchata drink. I was dining in the restaurant so they gave me free chips and salsa. Foods and drink were really tasty and fresh. Server was friendly and gave great recommendations on what to order. Overall, this new taqueria is worth a stop if you are visiting the falls. read more

In a hot day the dining room was warm. Unfortunately the server struggled to answer my questions due to her limited knowledge of English. When I tried to order a horchata and lengua taco they didn't have any. The beef taco I had was disappointing because it had a fatty grisly piece of meat in it which was unappetizing. Wanted it to be a good experience but it just continued to go downhill. It got busy and there were only two servers and it took a while to get the bill and pay for it on a line with take out orders. Food here is amazing. We ordered 4 different tacos, asada (steak), pollo (chicken), carnitas (pork) and molida (ground beef) and all of them were delicious. They have a toppings bar too so you can add what you like to each taco, including radishes (something you rarely see in non authentic places) and limes. Highly recommend this hidden gem. read more

Definitely doesn't look like much on the outside but once you go inside it has so much character and the employees were really nice and helpful I didn't know what I wanted and they gave me some recommendations they also let me try their top three specialty drink (non alcoholic) and they were all great I'll chose the passion fruit drink and it was to die for absolutely the highlight of the entire visit!!! The churros are really good but the actual food was average I got the chicken nachos I believe (didn't get a picture) but it's a build your own toppings kinda thing and my daughter got a chicken taco with rice and beans ! My mother and I came here while on vacation. We picked this place based off of the reviews. This restaurant opened this year, which I loved! Something positive happening in this world we're living in. Moving on, my mother ordered steak tacos and I ordered a chicken burrito. The food had a lot of flavor. The steak wasn't rubbery and the chicken wasn't dry. The toppings like sauces and salsa were yummy and self serve. The only con was the food was like room temperature. I am very much happy to find a decent Mexican food spot in Town of Niagara! The restaurant is a nice size and has an ample amount of seating. They have a wonderful salsa bar with onions, cilantro, peppers, green verde sauce and 3 hot salsas! Me and my husband both had a carne asada burrito. The only thing that threw me off was the lettuce inside as it was a lil too wet so next time I will axe the lettuce. Other than that I can't wait to come back and try their nachos, quesadillas, etc. oh another bummer is they don't serve alcohol. I was looking forward to a nice margarita lol. Fabulous AUTHENTIC Mexican food. The tacos are insane!! Seeved with a consume dipping sauce that rocks! Service with a smile. I enjoyed every bite! I could only finish one of my three tacos and some of the rice and beans. They were quickly consumed by my husband when I returned home. The fresh salsa bar is awesome. Allowing you to finish your taco off with the toppings you like. Fresh Lettuce, Radishes, onions, cabbage, jalapeños and more. Multiple levels of heat to choose from and creamy avacado sauce. Servers have always been so nice and understanding . Food is always good (personally love birria dinners). Portion sizes are enough to make you full. The salsa bar is free (best part) has always been clean and fresh. Lots of room to sit area is open and vibrant colors. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic taste. My husband and I recently moved back to The Falls from Buffalo. My go to in Buff was Mexican as there are a bunch of amazing spots. Obviously La Galera in the falls is well known and amazing, but I was SO excited to see El Charro. I didn't even know it was open! We drove past it tonight and within 20 minutes I made a delivery order! The food arrived promptly (about 7 mins before the original estimated delivery time!) so it was still pretty warm. The asada burrito was for my husband. I only wanted a bite and ended up eating the entire half of it- WHOOPS! The Birria taco plate was delicious, there was even a huge chunk of extra beef in our broth/sauce that is meant to dip in. The meat in the tacos was so juicy. My pastor taco was my least favorite item, the pork was a little fatty/chewy for me. But honestly, that minor disappointment was t enough for me to take off a star.
