Small, quaint yet sooooooo good!!! The place is very rich in culture decor. The music was the perfect volume. The waitress was very friendly and was very knowledgeable. The food was delicious and flavorful. The wait time was not long. The juices were so good and the correct flavor.

Tiny taqueria serving very delicious and authentic Mexican food. Ordered and sat down to have a small guacamole and chips with mini tacos, limonada and churros in a well decorated dining area. The server was polite and friendly and the food didn't take long to come out. Would love to have a cleaner restroom though. Other than that, we'll be back to try more from the very extensive menu.

Love this new spot their tacos are unbelievable!! I would recommend the mini because they come with 5 and have a bit more than the 3 tacos for about the same price ! The service is quick and amazing and the environment is clean and new. Downfall--- they don't have taco specials on tuesdays which suck because I'm paying like $18 for tacos.

I've been looking for a birria taco spot for a while in The Bronx, my search is over. This place is bright and smells delicious as soon as you walk in the door. The staff is friendly, but the birria tacos were AMAZING‼ Definitely give this place a try, you will not be disappointed, I'm now fan.

The foods great !! Totally recommend, as for the services I've only been 3 times but it's good so far and they're pretty fast. Especially when you order for delivery.

No meat just onions n peppers

Food was horrible spent 81 dollars on delivery and got tacos with no meat I don't mind spending money on food but to get something with no meat in it is crazy

When we entered, we were greeted with kind smiles from the ladies and they welcomed us to sit at any free table. Inside has lots of decor with ample seating. We sat and a server grabbed us menus. We got a carnitas burrito, grilled cactus side, horchata, and strawberry limeade (per her recommendation). Everything came so fast, and they even split the burrito for us! Oh my god, everything was so good. This has to be one of the BEST burritos I have ever had, comparable to the ones in San Diego. I love carnitas, and they do it so well here. It was tender, flavorful, just the perfect amount of sauce and seasoning! And the horchata was the best I have ever had too! The strawberry limeade was refreshing, and the grilled cactus was good! It was my first time trying it and it reminded me of aloe vera/okra texture. I had such a great time, such a great experience, I will definitely be back!

As a corn lover, the flavor note of Esquites just reminded me of elotes that you get from a street vendor in Mexico. The Tlayuda was huge! We added carne asada as our topping, and it turned into an huge entree that's shareable between two people. We finished our meal with the most flavor-intense dish - duck confit enmoladas. Despite not being a crazy mole fan, the mole sauce that was drizzled all over the enmoladas had a perfect balance of rich notes with a bit of bittersweet chocolate undertone. The ambiance was great with both indoor and outdoor seating. We were there to celebrate our anniversary, and the restaurant made it so special for us by providing a menu printed with "happy anniversary" with a note card and glasses of sparkling wine! This is a gem that's not to be missed!!!

By then the hostess had already seated us and I was immersed in the excellent service and the delicious aromas from the open kitchen. My husband lived in Mexico City for a time and he said this was some of the best Mexican food he'd had. The corn vermouth was delicious and I'd never heard of sotol so tried it in a paloma, which was great. Definitely will go back again, but only once my wallet has recovered.

I usually go to the Westchester Square spot as it's the location closest to my parents, but I've also been to their restaurant in Kingsbridge and (most recently) this one on Westchester Ave. The standard items one would expect to find at a Mexican restaurant are on EP's menu. What makes them stand out for me though, is the vast selection they have within each menu section and the quality of they food they serve. My usual go-tos are their burritos and tacos - they offer a variety of proteins to complement and they're always delicious. Outside of that, their soups are great as well as their nachos. I've only eaten in-house a few times; my standard is takeout and it's always ready by the promise time. Overall, Estrellita is a resounding yes for me; they are one of the best examples of quality and consistency, and I would always recommend them for good Mexican food in the Bronx.

This restaurant has been around for about…read moresix years, and I'll admit I had previously dismissed it because it's located in an outer strip of stores where Harmon and Bed Bath & Beyond once were. I truly wish I hadn't--because I was thoroughly impressed with the food, the décor, the service, and the extensive menu. There are so many dishes I want to come back and try. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant impressed us with its vibrant, themed décor and incredibly friendly staff who made us feel right at home. Warm tortilla chips with chunky salsa and glasses of water were brought to our table immediately after we sat down, which was a great start. They have a full-service bar, and while they don't offer frozen cocktails, we honestly didn't miss them. I had a coconut margarita, and my husband enjoyed a passionfruit rum cocktail. He doesn't drink tequila, so I asked if rum could be substituted, and they were more than happy to accommodate. He chose a Tajín rim, while I opted for sugar instead of salt. Both drinks were strong, flavorful, and served in really nice, heavy margarita glasses. We both chose specials from the House Special Grill, and wow--what a great decision. My husband had the skirt steak and jumbo shrimp, served with a creamy corn salsa, and he loved every bite. I ordered the grilled steak with sautéed onions, homemade tortillas, cactus pad (nopales), rice, and beans. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and perfectly prepared. We ended the night on a high note with dessert--one of the best flans I've ever had--paired with a glass of hot Mexican coffee. Absolutely delicious. Amazing food, great drinks, welcoming service, and a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend!

The food is top quality and service is excellent. the restaurant is also quite well decorated for such a miniscule place. The only caveat keeping this review from being five stars is the price. Mexican fare is known for being hearty, large portioned and affordable and having now patronized this establishment twice, I can say it is two of the three. The lofty price tag will unfortunately keep me from becoming a regular. Still, it is a nice treat once in a blue moon. Good show, overall. Fare: 5/5 Price: $$$
