Wheaton Space is small for indoor dining. So I made a choice for take out. There are lots of vegetarian options, which is great. Over the phone, ordering was easy, and the person was helpful in placing the order. Tried their deluxe grilled vegetarian burrito, avacado & veggie tostada. Burritos was good. Tostada lacks veggies. Also, I love the El Pastor tacos Mexican style. It's the only way to order them. Don't forget to ask for extra salsa I like to use 1 red and 1 green per a taco. The mix of the two salsas ties the flavors together for a delicious meal. They are tasty and fresh with a kick. They have limited outdoor seating. So, I always get them to go. As a self-proclaimed connoisseur of the al pastor taco I have a sensitive palette but this place does not disappoint. I have only had tacos here, oddly since burritos are their namesake, but I never get further than tacos on the menu. The tortilla has a little grease in the middle and the edges have a perfect crisp. I wanted this place to be awesome. I had their food at Glen Ellyn street fest and it was good. However, their customer service and menu rules are terrible. When you order your food, you will find that if you order a taco dinner with 3 tacos, you are FORCED that all tacos are the same meat. Heaven forbid should you want 1 chicken and 2 steak, they will tell you "only 1 choice of meat and they will all be the same". I also asked for cilantro and onions in addition to the lettuce, cheese, tomato, but that was too much to request. I got only cilantro and onions. Sorry but people want what they want. Although any business has the right to push "their way or the highway", just be aware they don't care if they lose business by not considering minor requests from their customers. There are too many other choices for good Mexican food around. Although the food is relatively good here, I will give my business to the other Mexican restaurants that are happy to give their customers the simple requests they ask for. read more

First visit the enchiladas verdes with chicken were outstanding. Hoped for another great experience, and it hasn't happened. Chili rellenos have tough outer skin left on, taco salad was a clump of mush, quessadilla was small, lacked flavor, tamale was so dry that masa crumbled. Different day each time. Javi's Burritos has been a go-to for me on several occasions and each time they've wowed me. First off, the place is small (with no indoor eating seating) but don't let that scare you away. If you want to "dine-in" you can always sit outside. However, carry-out is just as good. We've had tacos, burritos, nachos, etc. and everything is tasty. I will say that the burrito does fall apart (the shell is flimsy) but if you get a chimichanga then you not only get a delicious burrito but you get it deep-fried and it's twice as good! So it's Saturday night, me and my wife headed to a party and I didn't eat dinner and wanted tacos being new to the area we found Javi's on Yelp. So the tacos were amazing but at basically $3 a taco it better be. The horchata at 75 cents a refill or just for one drink was pretty cool.
