Only late night dine-in spot worth driving to after 2am on a Friday night! I live for the wheel chips that you get in place of salsa and chips... and the tacos are what you would expect to come from abuela's kitchen!! Super friendly staff took our to go order, provided us a treat (bananna's, yogurt and walnuts) while we waited. Our crew ordered breakfast burritos: bacon, eggs, potatoes, cheese and bean. They included grilled peppers and onions, radishes, cilantro and limes-all a bonus! The green salsa was spicy as was the red but both added great flavor and kick. It's sad. This place was once AWESOME. Cheap, delicious, and friendly. In the last year, something has changed... The Asada Burrito used to be $6.50 and was gigantic. It was filled with rice and refried beans with a little bit of steak. Pretty cheap to make, really. It has a mix of cilantro and onion in it. It was substantial and delicious. It is now a shadow of its former self. A tiny, loosely wrapped $9 sad, little burrito. Huge bummer. Half of the time they don't even include the green salsa. This never would have happened ~2-5 years ago, not to mention a decade ago. It's like watching a loved one change over time. It hurts. If you dine in, the experience is still good. I cannot say enough good things about this Taqueria, this place is out of this world. If u haven't tried Cuñado, then u must. Got there pretty late, at around 11pm, were seated right away. To my surprise, we were given retried beans as well as salsa and chips complimentary. This is a first, the beans were delicious! The salsa was good as well, and the chips were crunchy and fresh. I order some tacos and they came in pretty fast. The tacos were good, the meat was fresh and well cook. Overall a great place to get some late night tacos or just come in and enjoy during the day. I had the pleasure of eating here for the first time last night (Saturday) at 2 am. I was with some friends from the area that highly recommended it. What I saw was a bit SHOCKING having lived in Bentonville for a few years now where EVERYTHING is closed by 10 pm at the latest(food). Very delicious, don't think I can eat taco bell again. My friends recommended king burrito in rogers if I want something similar but closer again. The portion of tacos I received was very big, and it also only cost me 3.75. I felt so ashamed that I tipped more then the cost of my meal lol. The chips and salsa that came out was good too. Went here over two years ago and LOVED this place for authentic Mexican fare. Top-of-the-line! Made a return trip to Arkansas last week and was not as impressed as the first time I was there. Carne Asada was overcooked and my son's chicken quesadilla was oozing grease. He even pulled out a two-inch chicken bone as he was attempting to eat this mess. If I could give this review ZERO STARS I would. Where to start... We came across this place while visiting a family member. She suggested it, raving about how great the food was. We cleaned it the best we could && we let our server know that the table was dirty, hoping she would wipe it down for us. She said someone would... But nobody ever did. The food was the nastiest thing I have ever tasted. I had a quesadilla with Asada. The meat was dry, oily, and bland. One of my family members ordered the chicken flautas, which were also dry && hard. Their beans don't look like beans at all. Their rice was dry and flavorless. Our "server" brought our food out && never came back. She didn't check on us, she didn't bring refills, NOTHING. I'm surprised this place is even in business or can even call themselves a restaurant. I truly believe the only reason they even have people is because of their authentic Mexican food. Which I will give them credit, is authentic. But BAD authentic food? What is the point? The good old days!! The atmosphere here was fun and funky with Mexican pop music blaring from some weird but cool video montage playing on the televisions. Tried it 2 times I thought my first expierence was bad luck but it was worse the second time. This place and taqueria Guanajuato are the only ones open late at night after the clubs and bars close so I would much rather drive a little further for taqueria Guanajuato.
