I'm always looking for the best tacos around and I believe this place is at the top of the list. It's a great Taqueria that makes there own tortillas for all there tacos. The carna asada street tacos are the best as is the Al pastor tacos are delicious as well. Love the beans and rice they have. The green salsa is oh so good as well. I'll definitely will be back for more great tacos very soon. If your anywhere close to this place you need to try this taqueria you won't be disappointed!!! read more

I ate there for a late breakfast and the food was amazing! The homemade tortillas were fabulous as well--just wow! I got the birra chivo and my wife got the chilaquiles verde, and we could not stop who's was better because they were both so good. To quote my wife, "I am full but it's so good I can't stop eating!" Fast and friendly service - amazing, authentic Mexican tacos. I had the small tacos: chorizo, asada, carnitas. The chorizo was probably my favorite. The chips and salsa are also delicious, and authentic. There's none of that Tex-Mex flavor here, this is salsa real. The salsa roja was spicy and very tasty. They have a lot of other good looking food, but this is a taqueria and I came for the tacos. I'll definitely be back again, maybe I'll try some more of their various dishes. I'll give it a star bump after eating here a few more times. Breakfast is great - Chilaqules with red sauce was fantastic, really spicy. I've also tried the caldo de res, and enjoyed it, with those fantastic homemade corn tortillas. I ordered a gordita al pastor (my favorite meat here) and was totally knocked out. Gorditas come with several slices of avocado, tomato, lettuce, and white soft cheese. After trying pretty much all the meat selections my favorites are the pastor, barbacoa, and tripas (I can't believe I just said that, but it was really tasty). I'm neutral on the asada, and will save my craving for lengua and chicken for other places that do more moist, tender versions of both. read more

I was craving some authentic Mexican and had been meaning to try this place! We arrived on a Saturday around early dinner times. Luckily there was only one other table besides us so we got in quick and had no wait. As time went on it became more and more crowded. Our waiter - forget his name, was so friendly. He was very talkative and hilarious. Great customer service! They gave us chips and salsa - 2 different salsas. The verde one was my favorite! We ordered the guacamole and it was amazing. Seriously the best guacamole! I ordered the asada tacos on homemade flour tortillas. It is a simple taco with beef, onions and cilantro - with a lime to squeeze the juice on. It is very delicious! My husband had a crunchy asada taco and a burrito. Our daughter got the children's beef enchilada with rice and beans. We all enjoyed our food! read more

Really looking forward to some authentic Mexican food , dead the reviews and figured I would give it a try since I was passing that way. It was after lunch rush , only 2 people in there , was greeted by a happy employee, had me a menu , asked me what I wanted to drink " no alcohol " no margaritas ... any way I ordered the enchiladas verde... with beef, came with rice and beans .. This might be the worst restaurant I've been to in Arkansas! They were out of white cheese sauce, so we ordered yellow... Which was actually nacho cheese sauce. That is blasphemy! The huevos rancheros were very strange, nothing like what I've had at dozens of other Mexican places over the years. It's as if they made a watery stew of huge strips of onions and peppers, and poured it on top of eggs. The enchiladas were also strange. They rolled up a tortilla, covered it in sauce, then topped it with cooked, chopped meat (???) Rice was old. Roach crawling on the wall next to us. I'm sorry, but this place needs a major overhaul. I went here after a day on the water at Beaver Lake so a hearty meal was in order and Taqueria Vega delivered. They have a red salsa that will light your hair on fire, so if you like spicy, this is the salsa for you. Not into super spicy salsa, they have a salsa verde that is mild. I had fajitas and the portion size was very good. The staff was very kind. We ended up staying about 30 min after close and they were very accommodating. Wow, this place is a little home in the wall restaurant- which are always the best!! The service just skipped a beat. Starting with sweet tea- perfect. Move in to the two types of salsa they bring you, one green(yummy) one red(spicy I love). We started with the yellow queso(ball park nacho cheese) and the guacamole(chunky and amazing). One of my favorite taquerias in the area! It is a locally owned business with delicious food! The carnitas are the best my husband an I have had around! They are a bit pricey but worth it! My go to is tacos de langua and their langua is always on point! Growing up I used to go here just to get tacos and horchata with my friends. By far the best authentic mexican restaurant in the area. Food is always excellent. Service is fast. Love the barbacua, the chevia and burrito especially lengua or cabeza. The lucy salad( which is not on the menu) tast so good also. Its apmost like a carribean jerk chicken topping the salad. Don't hesitate to ask for that since it is not on the menu. Chile Relleno was very good, and the rice and beans were the best I have had at a Mexican restaurant. First time I have ever had corn tortillas freshly prepared and straight from the oven - very nice. Service was good too and the lady was sweet. It is a big place with a small family-owned atmosphere. I ordered their grilled chicken which came with rice, beans, and tortillas. The chips and green salsa were tasty. The corn tortillas were AMAZING. It's pretty much downhill from there. The chicken I had was deboned. It had the rubbery freezer burn marks on it. Maybe I would not have noticed if I had ordered chicken tacos and the chicken was all cut up.
