It was a sister taco night! We went on a last minute idea, and all had thee best taco date. We had a quesadilla, tacos, quesatacos, and a vampiro. Plus 2 aguas frescas Pro tip! Ask for your meal with the red salsa on the side because it's so SPICY! We were fighting for our lives after lol The green salsa is good and tangy tho! I would ask for the red salsa on the side and the guac since it's layered on heavily. And while we love it! We may not ALL love a HEAPING spoonful. We got a mix of carne asada and al pastor and they were both so good. I'm an Al pastor girl tho so I'll always go with that choice. Quesadilla: HUGE! A lot of cheese, didn't break due to too much salsa which is not common. Quesatacos: BOMB & STUFFED. Eat quick tho because those do break if you let them sit Vampiro? TOASTY AF & packed w meat and cheese and salsa. So good Tacos? YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG. Agua de Jamaica was refreshing, agua de pepino con limon & chia? Ehhh, unfortunately had no flavor & wasn't sweet, it was just ice and a touch of lime. Sorry! Thank you Samantha for also making great recommendations too. She's literally kept it all together with a full restaurant too. We shall be back soon!

Delicious asada, handmade corn tortillas, spicy salsa, creamy guacamole, fresh onion & cilantro.

The food is great but the customer service needs to improve. I made an order thru the phone so I won't have to wait that long. I get there 30 mins later and they had barely started doing my order had to wait another 10 mins (fyi I was the only one there). Another thing I notice was the flies that were around the veggies they were cutting cucumbers and they were a lot of flies around there just an observation i saw. The ambiance is really nice just limited tho. Update: just finish eating and the meat looks like it was from yesterday (recalentada). My sister in law got few tacos and 5 mins later she threw up. Food quality needs to be checked out/ improve. Meat taste and look dry. I don't want to be mean or anything I just want this place to do better and improve :).

I absolutely love tacos so I had to drive out to try these fresh tortillas. Good meat and amazing salsas. There are alfresco are pretty good too is tricky so that might take a while and there's limited seating so I recommend taking your tacos to go.

Food is good and the service is always nice. Fresh tortillas, and guacamole. Watch out with that red salsa. It packs a punch but it's delicious. Just be mindful of the time of day you go. This location is not in the best neighborhood. So, be cautious when visiting in the evenings.

Friendly service , I didn't feel rushed to order and was offered samples of their Agua Fresca ! The food came out nice and hot and was so good ! We had a little of everything , tacos , birria ramen , quesadillas and even some quesatacos. We will definitely be back to try the rest of their menu !

This place is good!! Definitely worth a try. Wanted to try a different taco spot and this place popped up. We got a bunch of different stuff to try. We made sure to order no salsa as we read it was spicy! Everything was fresh and delicious! The portions were huge and enough to share between my sis and I. We will for sure be back!

These are super fire tacos and burritos. Estilo Tijuana is a guarantee and this place does not disappoint. Their smashed avocado is fresh and not watery and their beans and rice are flavorful. Their veggie burrito is spicy but pretty epic. Parking can be a challenge but try to head out with a partner to make this part easier. Two tables offer unique seating areas for your charcoal grilled meals. Service is quick and the level of coordination makes pick up orders a breeze. Highly recommended.

Delicious! Parking is difficult but the place is well worth it. I highly recommend it if you are in the area.

The food was delicious will definitely go back when near the Compton area. They are very generous with the meat and the tortillas are hand made and yummy. Very friendly and quickly served. It's a place to eat quick not a lot of seating but anyone can easily stand and eat.

    Flavorless

What happened to this place! They switched the meat from diezmillo to muslo de res asado. And is it me or did the taco size get smaller? To the owner congratulations on your success but don't change the original recipe.

One cook making hand made tortillas the other the tacos.

If you're craving authentic antojitos from Ciudad Guzmán in the southern region of Jalisco,…read moreAntojitos Los Cuates in Compton is absolutely worth the drive. As someone who grew up enjoying the flavors of Jalisco, I had been yearning for the famous raspadas--large homemade tostadas--and the variety of traditional antojitos that are so popular back home. My family and I decided to give this place a try, so we made the drive all the way from Riverside County to Compton, and I can honestly say we were not disappointed. This is a small, family-owned restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food tastes homemade, just like the meals your mamá would make in Jalisco. You can tell that every dish is prepared with care, tradition, and pride. We ordered the tostadas, tortas ahogadas, and tacos duros, and every item was packed with authentic flavor. Unfortunately, we arrived around 3:30 PM and missed out on the pozole because they had already sold out for the day. That alone tells me it's a favorite among their customers, so I highly recommend arriving early if you're hoping to try it. The service was excellent, and despite the restaurant being very busy, the staff remained friendly and attentive. Keep in mind that this is a small family-run establishment, so your food may take a little longer to arrive. However, that's because everything is made fresh to order, and the quality is well worth the wait. Places like this are becoming harder to find. If you're looking for authentic flavors from Jalisco and want to support a hardworking family business, Antojitos Los Cuates is a hidden gem that deserves a visit. We'll definitely be back. A little taste of Ciudad Guzmán, Jalisco, right here in Southern California.

That is the downside of this place: parking. It's in a center with a lot of great places so you may want to find street parking before coming in that's mostly what gave the star rating for this in addition to the food taking a while to get to the table. They bring out chips and salsa which was great since they will take a while to get your food. Other tables that would come in later would get their food sooner. I got the green chilaquiles thinking it would come out sooner but it was the very last thing to arrive. My partner got their food before mine and I still sat there as other tables for their chilaquiles first. It took about 20 min get our food. The chips and salsa they give table side are tasty. Don't eat too much of it esp if you get the chilaquiles since it's a lot of chips. The salsa is not spicy at all! My partner got the Birria omelette. It was pretty good but the egg itself was a bit overcooked. It was a strange combination but the Birria was tasty by itself. He would come back to try the meat in a taco. Could have used some sort of lighter element. Everything was too savory on the plate. The plate was screaming for something fresh on it. The cafe the olla was so good. A little on the sweet side but that is what is is. The chilaquiles were good too. I would say maybe add more salsa or get something else because it was way too much chips. This is def something you would share for the table a not got for yourself. I would come back to try something without chips. It's really cute inside. So well decorated but I can see how they can have a wait if it fills up since it got fully crowded while we waiting for the long wait to get out food.

Very professional and knowledgeable about the menu and non-dairy items. Provided us with what we needed right away, the container for the salsa and brought out fresh ones for me. Very nice guy. The food came out right away. The portions were big in my opinion. The prices were decent, the portion was great, and best of all the service was good. Their self-serve condiments was a PLUS! I've been to a lot of taco spots and these were by far the freshest and crispiest cucumbers, fresh cold salsa, onions and cilantro was also fresh. The food was good and filled us up. I ordered the asada, carnitas, al pastor, tripas, cabeza, and lengua. The asada was tender with a nice grilled flavor, but my favorites were definitely the tripas and cabeza. Both were a little greasy, but in a good way--they had a lot of flavor and were probably the standouts of the meal for me. One thing I liked was the condiment bar. You can load up your tacos with as much onion and cilantro as you want, plus they have radishes and lime wedges available. They also offer two salsas, a red and a green. Both tasted good and had solid flavor, although I was hoping for a little more heat. Overall, it's a solid taco spot, especially on Taco Tuesday. Good variety of meats, reasonable prices, and plenty of toppings to customize your tacos. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area and craving some tacos.
