Great breakfast burritos...some of the absolute best around town! And quick service! This restaurant offers such a variety but our team always enjoys these burritos for a weekly breakfast meeting. They also give you bags of chips with your burritos. Their queso that can be ordered separate is good, too! Was absolutely horrible unless you like everything out of a can. Hot sauce pur tomato sauce, queso out of a can, ground beef tacos full of grease, gratef cheese strai out of a bag which was old. It was a very snowy day yesterday, and I wanted some authentic Mexican food. I am not talking Joe taco or Taco Bell, taco Villa or Tex Mex. I was really craving some authentic Mexican food. To my pleasant surprise, this restaurant was open and was close to where I work. The restaurant was warm inside, and the service was very good. My server was kind and she had a wonderful personality. I ordered some cheese enchiladas, Carne guisada, rice and beans, and a Pastor taco. I also had two Micheladas, which were delicious by the way. The food was wonderful. The plate was full, the taco with stuffed beyond the tortilla, And I never lacked for anything. The chips and salsa were delicious. I was pleasantly surprised and happy with my meal. It was also reasonably priced. I do have two complaints. I saw one of the male employees in the serving area eating shredded cheese with his hands off of the counter where it had been freshly shredded. I hate that kind of stuff. It is disgusting. Plus, no one in the kitchen, where I could see back in to fully, was wearing a mask. Since the kitchen is in plain sight for customers, they really should be wearing some sort of facial covering, even if it is a light paper mask. However, that did not stop me from eating my food, and I did not complain to anyone. I just made a mental note, and I will think twice about going to that location for a future meal because of hygiene and sanitation. All in all, I had a great meal, left satisfied, and my pocketbook was not much lighter. It was a blizzard outside, and I appreciated them being open. read more

Excellent food, fast service, awesome chili rellenos. Waitress didn't smile once....I think her face may have cracked if she tried, and she didn't return once to check on us after the food arrived....I had to finally walk up front to ask for the check. She took my money at the register, took out her 20% tip that I left, while I was standing there. Never smiled, thanked me, or told me to come back or have a nice evening...nothing. She is the only reason for three stars, instead of five. I'll make sure too ask for someone different next time, because I refuse to let one unpleasant person keep my away from the fine food. read more

My favorite Mexican resturant in Amarillo. It is so delicious every time I go. The salsa is flavorful and spicy, the asada is seasoned perfectly, the guac is great. Every time I steal off of my family or partners plate I never am disappointed. Service is fast and great, never had a problem with it. I have never been here but when I was looking around for a place to get breakfast and I saw that this place had migas then of course I had to come try them. I really liked the place and plan to come back. The service was great. The Migas were really good. The price was right. Social distancing and face masks were being used. Everything looked very clean. I saw a breakfast special for $6.99 and asked what it entailed. It sounded like a lot of good food so I hope to come back and try it. I asked how much a side of guacamole and sour cream would be. I was told $0.75 which sounded good. I intended to just get a guacamole but she brought a guacamole and a sour cream so I enjoyed both. I didn't get an itemized bill but it couldn't have been much more than what she said based on the total price. I also decided to get a taquito on the side just to try it out. I was expecting a little crispy rolled up thing like they serve in San Diego but to my surprise I got a very well filled soft flour taco folded over an amount of eggs that would have been enough to comprise a whole breakfast if you didn't crave side dishes. The migas came with beans and cubed potatoes. Both good. The guacamole was excellent. About the only thing I missed was being served complimentary chips at the beginning which I look forward to at many Mexican restaurants. Always make 3 visits to give a restaurant a fair shake. Chicken quesadillas were good however no ranch dressing available...waitress brought me a bottle of Thousand Island dressing. Unimpressed! Chips were store bought, and not good. Hot sauce was not good, had a sour pasty flavor. Guacamole has lots of onion and cilantro, so if you don't like those two ingredients, then stay away from the guacamole. They only have non dairy cream for coffee. The waitress looked at me like I had a third eye when I asked for a cup of milk. Their food just isn't good!! Service was meh! We've had better food at Rosa's!!! We won't ever go back!!! read more

Taco plate order came out in less than 4 minutes -- always suspicion. I didn't even get time to munch the bulk purchase stock thick dry chips with some type of what appears to be buy-it-by-the-gallon hot sauce. Taco shells appear to be stock purchase taco shells and we're rather tasteless. Big glass of ice tea minus most of the ice .... I prefer my "Ice Tea" to be iced .... may be just me. Lettuce & tomato seem fresh & colorful. However, I can purchase fresh lettuce & tomato across the street at United for much less expensive and get fresher veggies. read more

I don't like to be ugly and I will give credit where it's due but this place has disappointed a couple of times. I obviously didn't learn my lesson the last time I went. We ordered breakfast burritos and all the eggs in the burritos were very overcooked (burnt). So dry. Apparently, we have to ask for soft eggs when ordering a burrito because if not you get burnt over cooked eggs. That's what the manager explained when i called to let them know we weren't happy. I just moved into the area and I was craving some authentic Mexican food. When I first saw the name, it reminded me of the place back home that we would always go to - which is amazing.. so I thought I'd give this place a try as well. It is super close to where I am staying at right now so it was very convenient. I called in my order for take out and it was ready within 10 minutes. I ordered the Chicken Fajita Plate and it came with chicken and veggies, charro beans, Mexican rice, lettuce, guacamole, tomatoes and your choice of corn or flour tortillas. The whole meal tasted amazing, reminded me of the restaurant that I would go to all the time back home. The employees are very nice and made sure that my order was correct by repeating it to me when I got there. The service was quick and easy. I will definitely be returning here since it was good and so close to me! read more

Just had something called food at the new one, on the Blvd. Waitress couldn't be bothered to help. Had to ask for menus, cutlery and the bill. Our Waitress took our order.we didn't see her again. Other waitresses helped us, brought us what we ordered. I can only review what I had. I ordered a soft Carne asada(?) Taco,cheese enchilada and rice. I was brought a beef enchilada, burnt ends soft taco the flour tortilla was burned also. I told them I got the wrong enchilada and they brought me a cheese one. Everything was so salty. Except the rice, that was flavorless. Got our check. $67 gave my card. When they brought it back for me to sign, I was shocked to find out they add 4% to your bill if you use a debit or credit card. Horrible service, food and money grubby. I WILL NEVER GO BACK, NOR WILL I EVER RECOMMEND THEM. read more

This is the most authentic Mexican restaurant I've found in town yet--for what it's worth, I stay mostly on the western half of town. The flour tortillas used for the quesadillas are top notch, and the corn tortillas they use in many dishes are the closest a restaurant has ever gotten to my great aunt's homemade masa. Their salsa is tasty, and goes well with their (very thick and again, homemade-tasting) chips. I enjoy their rellenos quite a lot, and my wife loves the chicken enchiladas and crunchy tacos. The prices for the plates are decent for a taqueria and rather nice compared to the popular tex-mex joints in the area. Their breakfast tacos are tasty, and a reasonable, if perhaps not generous, size for the price. Once or twice they've cooked the eggs just a little long, drying them out a bit, though not enough to ruin the dish. As others have noted, their wait staff does have a bit of a problem following up once they've delivered the main course. Having to wave for a few seconds to grab the attention of one of the wait staff while they're goofing off behind the counter isn't particularly great. This is the primary reason for the missing star. Overall, though, I think the quality of the food, and the overall reasonable portion/price ratios are enough to keep the rating above 3 stars. read more

This is a great restaurant! The food is quite authentic and is served quickly and hot. There is usually some sport playing on tellemundo tv. The plates are not skimpy, the sauces range from warm to hot and they are all good. I would recommend this place to anyone. The only negative comment is that it is a difficult location to get into from some directions. read more

Okay so I don't even know if this is fair or not because we are from Dallas and comparing it to food in Amarillo. We stopped in because of the ratings on our way to Colorado. They had lengua, so they get points for that. The rice and lengua had hard parts. It was not fresh. There was also not much taste to my lengua plate. The flour tortillas were good. The Coca Cola was flat. We were really hungry, so I didn't care, and we scarfed our food down. The worst thing is they are WAY OVERPRICED for the food!! We left with a $28 bill for 2 meals. We have a Tapatio in Dallas, and it is 10x's better. read more

Absolutely terrible service. I like their burritos so I go through the drive through fairly regularly. I wait an average of 20 minutes in the drive through each time I go... no exaggeration. It takes a lot for me to want to get out my phone and leave a review on Yelp. But jeez... I will never return because of how long it takes them to make one burrito. read more

By far the worst Mexican restaurant in Amarillo! Even if the food was passable, the service is appalling. Even getting something to go, I waited 35 minutes - just to have them get the order wrong. I ordered a LARGE queso which was about 3 ounces at most! The Fajitas Tropicanas was supposed to include pineapple, but had none. I am pretty sure the fish is Gorton's from a box. An order of fries to go with my boy's quesadillas contained exactly 9 fries! Avoid this place - I really think they are kind of racist in that I think I was only non-Hispanic in the place. read more
