This is a two star review. I came here at the recommendation of a co-worker and want to like it…read moremore than I did. I think the problem is that I couldn't get past the lack of a restroom in the area. They had some portables, but they are making food and we are supposed to eat it. Where are they washing their hands? This area is also pretty cold so if you go, make sure that you have a coat, scarf and hat. I'll never make that mistake again. But because of the cold, I didn't want to eat outside so our food got a cold, but it was good. My husband liked the food he got, but gluten free options are super limited. They get a third star because of the bar! Now there was only one person working there and that's fine because he could go get a snack or something and come back to pour drinks, but again. The restroom issue. Where does he wash his hands, what if he has a cold and sneezes into them, and so on. That's where my mind went. The vendors are quite nice and were helpful and weren't mean when they answered my GF questions and I appreciate that. So, this is like the little engine that could. I can see that it is a gathering spot for people and they have music and speakers which is cool. So I saw and felt a community vibe and people really seemed to like going. If I lived in the area, I may try it a bit more, but in all honestly, Oakland Museum's Off the Grid event is everything I wish this was. I'm sure that they will get there, but don't want to hang out while they figure it out.

I'm not sure if the selection changes as I only went once, but the selection was smaller than I…read moreexpected and there wasn't that many people there.

Great new Philly Cheese Steak spot! The food truck came by my work a few times and I have stopped…read moreby to get stuff every single time. The first time, I ordered the Philly P. There wasn't that much meat in the sandwich and I was still hungry after it but it still tasted good. I'd probably get the Loaded P instead. The second time, I ordered the P Daddy. I was super hungry and this one did the job well. The owner recognized me from before and was super nice and courteous and offered me a complimentary drink which I appreciated greatly. The third and most recent time I went, I grabbed the Primetime Philly Fries and these also hit the spot. Perfect ratio of meat, chese, fries, and vegetables.

I've mentioned this statement in previous reviews: if you are going to be a food truck that…read morespecializes in an American classic such as burgers, hot dogs, Mac and cheese, or in this case, Philly cheesesteaks, you really need to blow me away and especially if you are going to charge an arm and a leg (more on that detail in a minute) I came across this place at the electric Caltrain launch party in Palo Alto. I have actually seen this food truck before but never had the opportunity to order from here so I thought today would be a good day. It seems like their claim to fame is that they use halal meat. I ordered the loaded P and a side of fries. I was pretty underwhelmed with the overall meal. The roll looked like it was bought from a general store and the cheese looked like nacho cheese you get in a can. I will give them credit that the fries tasted fresh but again, I was overall underwhelmed with the whole meal. Truthfully I would have considered giving this place four stars but the total cost of this meal came out to more than $30, which is a bit crazy. I understand we are going through an inflation period but a cheesesteak and fries costing that much is insane. Had the meal blown me away, I would have understood the high price. There may not be many cheesesteak shops in the Bay Area but there are enough where I can compare the quality and price of those shops to this truck. The quality of the sandwiches is definitely similar but the other places are way cheaper. Like I mentioned earlier, if you are going to be a truck that specializes in an American classic and are going to charge a hefty price, then be prepared to impress me. Unfortunately this truck did not pass that bar.

Yes. Yes. Yes! While in the area, Tacos El Patrón was recommended for lunch. I had never been to…read morethis spot before, but trusted the locals on their go-to. I'm already excited for an opportunity to come back soon! I was told the tacos are a must, so of course I ordered a Chicken Tinga Tostada and Vampiro with steak. I also ordered a Watermelon Aguas Frescas. For the table we did an order of Guacamole with Pork Belly (first time ever trying this!) and Birria Grilled Cheese Bites. Something cool about ordering tacos here is upon ordering two, you can grab complimentary sides that include cactus, radishes, grilled onion, and beans. There's also the cutest bottles of hot sauce on the table for your meal. The service was quick and friendly, ambiance was fun and vibrant. Would be fun to come back for a marg at the bar. Seems like a vibe for that post-work moment. I noticed a special kiddo menu and breakfast menu. Also, they have a pretty cool Birria menu filled with fun items like Birria fries, flautas, pizza, ramen, and more! The grilled cheese bites were a great app to get an intro to what a full plate could look like. Super fresh and flavorful food, parking adjacent in small lot, and left with overall awesome feels.

My favorite Mexican in the area. So good that for their 2nd location they opened in The Mission…read morebecause it's that tier of excellent and can easily compete with the best SF has to offer. It's sit-down and I miss the fast casual experience, but the food still comes out super fast and the wait staff is very friendly. Everything I've had here has been amazing, you can't go wrong. They supply 4 different salsas in large bottle so I can drench my food in delicious salsa. Love it.
