    Chicken quesadilla!
    Katie R.

All of the food was so flavorful and authentic. Service was very friendly and quick. The portions are generous. The Birria tacos with dipping broth was the best I've ever had. I highly recommend you stop and visit this family owned business!

When working in Coalinga, I always make it here for lunch. Food is good and portion size is large. Price are reasonable considering most places are so expensive today. Service is friendly and quick which makes this place an easy go to for good food and service on lunch breaks. Will continue to come here and recommend it if you are passing through the area.

The food was really good. The area is kinda sketchy. We had just stopped by there on the way to our destination. The ladies were nice and they didn't have crunchy tacos on the menu but they made it for us anyways. Which was sweet of them. And they had their lunchtime rush, with a group of detectives and sheriffs but they handled it so well!

I highly recommend this restaurant if your in the area of Coalinga, service was nice and quick. Food looked very presentable and delicious 10/10

Small place but Big on taste [Coalinga CA] If you think Coalinga is all about Harris Ranch you should drive further in to town and try the food at Taqueria Gonzalez. Indoor dining room was a modest size but they have outdoor seating as well. The restaurant is counter-service so we placed our order with the friendly (and patient) young gal as we browsed through the wall menu quickly. We chose an Asada Burrito and Asada Fries. We found an open table and before we could say "birria" our order was being served to us. The burrito was a generous size so the hubby and I split it. The radish, jalapeño, fried onions and hot sauce were served on the side. For drinks I got my favorite, the Jamaica, and hubby chose the horchata. We also shared the asada fries. French fries loaded with beans, roast beef, mozzarella cheese, pico de gallo and topped with a jalapeño. That was enough to get me full. When we think of Coalinga we think of Harris Ranch steak and cattle farm... and you'll know when you hit Coalinga by the smell. We did not go for a ribeye steak this time but we still had some kind of meat in the form of a steak burrito and steak fries ("asada" is beef) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Review #3219

Food wise, 4.6/5 for me. With the service and friendliness of the staff, it is a 5/5 experience for me. We were looking for a dinner spot after hiking, we arrived at 6:30 PM and already cleaning up but still let us order and stay to eat. We got the quesabirria tacos and carne asada fries, along with chips and salsa that came with meal ordering. The quesabirria tacos were the best I've ever had so far with succulent meat and crispy taco shells. The consommé was so flavorful that my partner drank it. We ordered a medium size carne asada fries and the plate was huge, which is enough to feed two people. The carne asada on the top was dry but overall, still good flavors. The horchata lacks a bit of cinnamon flavor but still great to complement the meal especially one of the salsas provided was spicy.

I said in my last review, I'll be back when passing through. A little disappointed but the birria wet burrito was massive! I thought it was delicious and I had to leave 1/3rd of it since I was too full. So that made up for it. I got a plain bean sope with avocado for my daughter and got charged full price. That's okay since she's the delicate vegetarian. Small asada fries but it was huge. An asada sope and wet burrito with Jamaica for 35$. I liked that they didn't even ask for a tip on their machine. The one thing that disappointed me was I ordered an asada sope with everything and they gave me a plain asada taco!!!! Just tortilla and meat. It was a lot of meat but I wanted to try their sope

Stopped by here on my way to Sequoia National Park for lunch. I will be thinking about these Birria tacos I had for the rest of my life... so good. I was visiting from Texas and it put all others to shame. Delicious

FUXS GIVEN = 5.0 ******************* Food = 5 I had the quesabirria special today with the consome. Bomb. I highly recommend it. UX = 5 For the middle of nowhere this place has real cool vibes. I heard the lady teaching a local how to speak Spanish and his joy was infectious. The food was present authentically or real plates. Overall great spot. Service = 5 Perfect service. Fast and friendly.

Hands down one of the best Mexican food places I've dined at in California. Typically I find a dish I like at a restaurant and stick to it, because it's safe and I know it's good. This place has me trying half of the items on their menu because EVERYTHING has been delicious! Chips are always fresh, their salsa that accompanies the chips is killer! But the service?! The service is the cherry on top. We typically have a work lunch here during the week and we've never had a bad dish or a bad experience! Dishes I've tried: huevos divorciados Birria tacos Quesadilla frita Torta (pictured) Pupusa Tacos

I was seated in the bar area (no choice offered), which was odd as this was mid-week and the place was far from crowded. I was attended quickly and placed an order for a Tanqueray martini. It arrived well mixed. I decided on a porterhouse after confirming with my waiter that the filet would not resemble a t-bone, but be a full filet as a porterhouse should. The steak was cooked properly, salad and sides fresh and delicious. I took off a star because my waiter gave up on me. He had checked in several times (I eat really slow these days and it was a lot of food) and the last time offered to bring me a box. I was ready to order dessert, but after a full ten minutes of an invisible waiter, I went to the hostess and offered to pay. She said she would send my waiter to my table. So, back to my table I went and waited some more. By the time he arrived, I was very unhappy. I had planned on coffee and dessert. But ended up going to the gas station next door and picking up some canned espresso and cream. Walking to my car, was an olfactory assault. If you've ever driven past Harris Ranch and the miles of cows standing under the shade structures in their own feces, you have a mild sense of what I experienced. But this was so much worse. My eyes began to water as I imagined I was walking through the feed lots. The stench of urine and cow crap was obnoxious. Some way to end an otherwise good meal. Between the service and the outdoor aroma, I doubt I'll return.

We had read that they accommodated a lot of RVs and people with U-Haul's, etc., so felt safe staying there for the night. Checked in about 9 PM. Everybody was super helpful. We have our cats with us so we were a little stressed out about how it was going to be, but they made sure that we were comfortable and we were in a really nice, large and clean room. I did think that the property is a little bit dated. They've done a good job with upkeep. The only issue I really had was that when I got out of my car there was a very strong animal smell. I asked at the front desk with that smell was, and they said that it was fertilizer that they applied to the fields that night. It was intense. We got up and we're back on the road by 5 AM. Unfortunately we did not get to try the restaurant although I heard that their steakhouse is excellent. Also, the pool looked really beautiful and clean.
