This place was the best for tacos, not anymore. Idk what happened, maybe different owner or new workers. Now they're just regular tacos just like anywhere else, also not the best to dine in. Won't be going back.

Came here for tacos on a Friday for dinner. There was a line to order. Got tacos de costillas, carnitas, and chorizo. $2.98 each. We ordered 9 tacos but got charged for 12, so just pay attention at check out. Costillas were the best, good flavor and not dry. There are a few tables but ambiance is mostly takeout. Parking on street. Open 24 hours.

I don't think this place deserves zero stars but I also definitely don't think it's a five star place neither. Stale ass chicharrones and carnitas...they outta be ashamed of themselves. The ironic thing is the food looks very picturesque!!!

Tres Agaves taqueria! Haven't tried the Paleteria yet (paleteria is right next door). Don't let the looks of this place fool you! This is a great spot to pick up street tacos, burritos, quesadillas and even nachos etc. The meat is fresh and chopped right in front of you. They are very generous with their portions. The salsa is also very good. The lunch line flows pretty quickly and the employees are fast and friendly. Prices also are reasonable.

TL:DR - The Torta Cubana is very good and LOADED with meat. - The al pastor is very tender and rich in flavor - The horchata is very well made ------------------------------------- Midday while I was driving along I5 from San Jose to LA, I drove 15 miles off an exit to this gem. I was very turned off when my GPS told me that this place is 15 miles from the freeway, but I do not regret a single bit making the decision to drive here. This place definitely has one of the BEST tortas that I have ever eaten. I got the Torta Cubana with al pastor and it was LOADED with meat and a fair amount of avocado. The meat was very flavorful and all the elements within the sandwich just added another layer of flavor. For me, they used a really cheap hot dog which I didn't really care for, but the Al Pastor still held it's flavor against the hot dog. My only complaint would be that since the bread is very soft and the elements are juicy, I wish the outside of the bread was toasted/grilled to add a slight crunch when I bite into the sandwich. This place also has a really well made Horchata. In this day and age, every Mexican restaurant is switching to Horchata flavored horchata, but I believe their horchata is still made traditionally. I would love to come back to this place if I do pass this area again!

Honestly it was a very good hole in the wall of Coalinga. A family we know just moved here and had asked to try it which wasn't bad at all. The wait for the food up front wasn't too long and the employees worked hard to get our orders together while prepping it. So far everyone had enjoyed it and would recommend it again! The tacos were great! I'm not a huge Mexican food fan but this one was a good pick in town.

This place has yet to disappoint. It's a small little 24 hr gem! Out here everything closes at like 9pm so if you have a late night craving, other than this place you really are out of luck. Anyway, they have every choice of meat you can think of. They have good beans & rice and no matter what you order it's gonna be good. They have their moments where they run out of stuff or you might not get the freshest ingredients but overall we've never been disappointed. The juice place attached to it is really good too! So I ordered a Med carne asada burrito supreme and a strawberry/pina colada raspados. Everything was delicious! And the service is always great! Btw, they don't use gloves all the time lol

Great roadside find! Chef chops up the meat behind the counter and the chopping sound alone makes me hungry already. Good selection of flavorful meats with desserts on the other half of the house.

These tacos are AWESOME!!!! I got 1 asada, 1 lengua, and 1 tripas. They were so good.

I was seated in the bar area (no choice offered), which was odd as this was mid-week and the place was far from crowded. I was attended quickly and placed an order for a Tanqueray martini. It arrived well mixed. I decided on a porterhouse after confirming with my waiter that the filet would not resemble a t-bone, but be a full filet as a porterhouse should. The steak was cooked properly, salad and sides fresh and delicious. I took off a star because my waiter gave up on me. He had checked in several times (I eat really slow these days and it was a lot of food) and the last time offered to bring me a box. I was ready to order dessert, but after a full ten minutes of an invisible waiter, I went to the hostess and offered to pay. She said she would send my waiter to my table. So, back to my table I went and waited some more. By the time he arrived, I was very unhappy. I had planned on coffee and dessert. But ended up going to the gas station next door and picking up some canned espresso and cream. Walking to my car, was an olfactory assault. If you've ever driven past Harris Ranch and the miles of cows standing under the shade structures in their own feces, you have a mild sense of what I experienced. But this was so much worse. My eyes began to water as I imagined I was walking through the feed lots. The stench of urine and cow crap was obnoxious. Some way to end an otherwise good meal. Between the service and the outdoor aroma, I doubt I'll return.

I did think that the property is a little bit dated. They've done a good job with upkeep. The only issue I really had was that when I got out of my car there was a very strong animal smell. I asked at the front desk with that smell was, and they said that it was fertilizer that they applied to the fields that night. It was intense. We got up and we're back on the road by 5 AM. Unfortunately we did not get to try the restaurant although I heard that their steakhouse is excellent. Also, the pool looked really beautiful and clean.

The bakery is part of the country store, which sells such random housewares and souvenir-type stuff. They have a chocolate truffle case on one side and the other side, the pastries and desserts. The pastries looked delicious and I got a few to try. They also have bags of day-old cookies for a good price. Eclair 4/5* I'm not a huge fan of eclairs with the soft fudge on top instead of the hardened chocolate. Taste wise though, it was a good eclair. The cream isn't overly sweet and the eclair itself was a light dough. Napoleon 5/5* If there's something Harris bakery does right, it's flaky pastries. Surprisingly, this Napoleon stayed crispy the entire drive home and survive even in the refrigerator the next day. Many others I've had usually get soggy, but these layers of puff pastry stayed crisp to the end of every last bite. The cream was fluffy and not too sweet, and paired perfectly with the ripe strawberries. Banana Cream Pie 3/5* I love anything banana and just had to get it when my eyes landed on the perfect swirl of whip cream covered in chunks of buttery crumbles, atop a neat little mini pie. However, the pie itself was too mushy. The crust was soggy, with the smoothness of the banana cream, soft banana slices, and rich whip cream, everything combined was too much mush. It was also too sweet. I did enjoy the crumble on top though. That was the only saving texture. Strawberry Cream Horn 5/5* Wow these were so unexpectedly delicious! The horn is super flaky and delicate, filled from end to end with a light strawberry cream. On top, bits of dehydrated strawberries were not only beautiful but added a nice tartness and texture, contrasting with the silky cream. This was a great upgrade on your classic cream horn. Chocolate Chip Cookies with Walnuts 3/5* Nothing special. They tasted better the longer they sat out because they were crisper. I prefer my cookies to have sea salt for that good balance of salty and sweet, but these cookies were just one noted. Next time, I have my eyes set on this towering cake they had on the counter and of course, take home some of those yummy cream horns.

Our food actually came out pretty decent. It was hot, tasted fresh, and was put together better than I expected considering how busy it was. The kitchen seemed to be holding it together. But the other sides didn't look very good either, and I need some kind of carb with my meat, so I guess you pick your poison. The biggest issue for us was the heat. It was like sitting in an oven. Pretty silly at this point talking to a manager for more Big Mac sauce. I literally had to bring my burger over to show I was not lying, they said that I was given the normal amount of sauce but she said she'll give me more sauce just this one time because usually they have to charge for more sauce. No creaminess, barely any flavor, just a few vegetables having a meeting. The crispy fries actually showed up ready to work. Probably the MVP of the meal.
