Taqueria Jaliscience was the final stop of my four-truck taco tour at the Toys for Tacos event -- and I'm glad I saved them for last! It may not be the flashiest truck at the market, but what it lacks in glam, it makes up for in flavor. The tacos were delicious, with meat that was just a tiny bit overdone -- but honestly, the salsa more than made up for it. Their salsa was the best of the day by far: fresh, flavorful, and with just the right kick. I also loved being able to take full control over my extras -- toppings, salsas, condiments -- the whole works. The condiment station could have used a quick tidy-up, but it felt more like the result of enthusiastic (and messy) customers than neglect. A big bonus for me: they serve their tacos on a single tortilla. No unnecessary doubling here -- and it still held up perfectly. Less waste, great texture, and a sturdier taco than I expected! First with trying this food truck. I ordered a chorizo burrito. I haven't had a burrito that was stuffed with fries instead of potatoes. This truck was parked in front of my work and so a lot of my colleagues ordered from this truck today and they all seemed to love the food. My burrito was $10 and it was a good amount of it. I will hopefully be back to try other things as they do have nachos and birria and a lot more. Hopefully they'll park at my location again. read more

Can this really be one of those places I've enjoyed for years and never left a review?? Well, TL:DR or whatever: go get this delicious food. I first came across their food truck years ago when they used to park outside Ooooby in the industrial area of south downtown (yeah, YEARS ago). We'd get 12 asada and carnitas tacos they sold for 99 cents. So good. The food truck can now be found all over town at various events, you can seriously catch them throughout the week. I follow them on instagram to know where they'll be. We love their quesa tacos and giant asada pizza, it's so indulgent and worth it. My personal favorites are sopes and enchiladas. Specialties like Enchiladas and Chile rellenos are available at their storefront. I 100% recommend this business, I hope you enjoy. read more

This taco truck is so good! My favorite is their red quesatacos which are just filled with so much cheese! They were catering for a private event and were able to make a vegetarian version of the red tacos filled with fajita veggies and it was some of the best tacos we've all had!! This truck serves great tacos and the service is always pretty speedy. The rating is more for my overall past experiences with this truck rather than my most recent visit, which was uncharacteristically subpar. Was pleasantly surprised to see their truck at Gazebo Gardens as I have loved their quesabirria tacos and quesadilla. Both are always full of flavor with a little kick if that's your fancy, and I've always been left satisfied. This time around I decided to get the asada fries and unfortunately found one of the weaker menu items. The portion size is quite generous and it comes with the works, but the flavors of the fries and meat are pretty minimal. The fries look seasoned but everything else seems to drown them, especially the nacho cheese sauce. The meat didn't taste seasoned very much at all, and I think overall it would have benefited from real shredded cheese rather than the sauce. I'll definitely be returning to the truck for other items (still need to conquer the pizzadilla!) but I think I'll pass on the fries moving forward. read more

Definitely a local stand-by. Tacos were large, tasty and definitely worth the price. My nachos were a bit underwhelming due to the cheese sauce (thin and cheese sauce... why?) but my order was a to-go order and I saw a "For here"/ nacho come out just after - It was massive, looked better and had avocado on it. Why such a difference between them, I have no idea but next time I'll order it to eat there. The sales person was super friendly and she even gave my son a little capri-sun for free. I ate at the taco truck during FresYes Fest downtown this weekend and was thoroughly impressed! The staff are super efficient. There was a fairly long line but they were serving food almost as quickly as they were taking orders, so there was only a 2-3 minute wait after ordering. I got two tacos - one carnitas and one carne asada. They were $2 each. The tortillas are homemade and freshly grilled, and you can see the little machine and the cook grilling them from the window. After I picked up my order at the window, I went to the station to dress them. There were a few salsa options including a green tomatillo, and veggies aplenty. Although I was a little disappointed to see there weren't any grilled onions on the carne asada, I got a healthy serving of cilantro and onions, and fresh cabbage to top them. They gave a healthy serving of meat - I didn't feel short-changed and there was not so much that I wanted to brush some off the tortilla, it was just the right amount for me. The carnitas was good, not too salty, and very tender. The asada was really delicious and savory, and the raw onions more than made up for the lack of grilled ones in the meat. Ate at this taco truck during a Fresno Street Eats Event... It was a busy day with a decent line. However, they were pretty quick with getting the orders out to the customers. We ordered tacos of asada, tripas, and lengua, along with asada sopes. What makes this place stand aside from the bevy of taco trucks in the valley is homemade fresh tortillas which are very soft and you can definitely taste the difference. Tacos are pretty basic, I don't like onion so of course I order everything without it. It was just the meat with some cilantro. Both green and red salsa, both good, red is more spicy. The sope was really good, definitely would order that again! The only negative is they don't pack on too much meat. If I'm gonna pay $3 for a taco you hope they at least fill it in more. Stopped by Detail Garage and saw this spot next door. It was morning so I went with a Breakfast Butrito (Ham) - seriously rediculously good. The menu looks awesome I want to try the albondiga soup next time - they have this salsa next to the counter when your ordering and the smell is intoxicating - no joke.. great flavor - it's pretty all in there so it was packed, but I have no issue waiting for good food. This last time I ordered a breakfast burrito and the hash browns in it were burnt (not potato chunks shredded potatoes) and the eggs were burnt. Plus they were pushing out orders for people who ordered after us. And we only ordered 2 burritos. Service is alright, but the food is really good. I love that they have freshly made tortillas! I got 3 tripa tacos and they were probably my favorite compared to what I've had in town so far. They weren't greedy either. The tripas were perfectly cooked in my opinion, soft with a little crunch. They also chop in good bite sizes not super small like a majority of the trucks. Saw this restaurant on TV, and decided to give them a try. First the lady getting my order was all over the place " talking to the other lady in the back while trying to get my order". After she got my order she disappeared. Twenty minutes go by and I still haven't received my order! Now a new cashiers is taking orders and looks at me and asked do i need to order, I look at her with a "are you serious face" and i tell her I'm waiting for my order for 20 minutes now. She now is embarrassed and asks me what did i ordered. I tell her and she gets it to me in two minutes, I ordered a asada burrito with no onion. The first bite i get a mouthful of onion!
