    Take salsa

I love lil holes in the wall, they tend to have the best food because they need to have return business and word of mouth to survive unlike the large stand alone restaurants. This one is no exception to that rule. You know you're going to get a good plate when the majority of customers speak the language of the establishment. Lily was a one woman show up front managing counter, phone, take out and tables without skipping a beat. She was awesome. As we were leaving another server came in, I'm suspecting for the supper rush as we were there for a late lunch/early supper. We had to order chips & salsa, they're not an automatic. The salsa has great flavor but was too watery in my opinion. Thankfully the table has its own roll of paper towels for all the drips. I adored the level of cilantro, if you're not a cilantro fan though steer clear. My partner got the Fajitas Jalisciense which have all the meats (steak, chicken, shrimp, chorizo). The flavor was spot on, nothing overcooked or dry, very impressive. The peppers were cut WAY TOO LARGE and the potato chunks totally threw us off as did them being served with softened corn tortillas not flour as normal. They were good though, a huge serving and leftovers were taken I got the enchiladas with red sauce. They were very good. The rice and beans were great too. They offered 2 house made hot sauces, a red and a green, neither had any heat but the flavor of the red was really good. The green was odd but I can't pinpoint the issue my tongue had with it, it was "bland ". All in all though, good experience and we'll definitely go again

After being in the mood for some hole-in-the-wall local Mexican food and seeing the great reviews, I was excited to give this spot a try. Let's just say it was ok. Doesn't that always happen?!? People hype you up for something and then when you try it, it's like "meh." The horchata was good. So was the chicken quesadilla and Mexican rice with refried beans. My taquitos were all decent. I tried them all Mexican style ( cilantro and raw onion) instead of supreme (lettuce tomato cheese). I had the carnita, chicken, Al pastor, and beef. I also enjoyed their lemonade. The service was slow as you would expect. But it also lacked quality. Paid $35 for all mentioned which seems a bit much. Overall, ok food with potential to be better.

I wanted to get some authentic Mexican tacos but didn't want to go to far. I found out this restaurant was only 5 minutes away from my house. There's not much in Deltona so I wanted to try this place out. I was pleasantly surprised and I have been here twice now. I tried the authentic Mexican tacos, we got chicken, steak, and carnitas. All different meat options were good and you can tell they make the tortillas in house. My favorite was the chicken it's very flavorful and juicy. The salsa they provide on the side is really good as well, the green one adds a lot of flavor and the red one adds spice/heat. I also tried the chicken quesadilla. It was good but some of the tortilla was soggy. I think it was because of all the toppings or the meat. Lastly we tried two of the agua frescas, hibiscus and mango. The hibiscus was very sweet, not terrible but not what I wanted. The mango one was okay, felt like it was missing something though. The workers here are very friendly and helpful. I do really like the restaurant and will keep coming here for the tacos.

Chipotle can suck it. $7, a beautifully filling Al pastor, burrito, perfectly marinated with chips and queso. Oh, and a soda pop. Classic California vibes without all the nonessential political climate. Sit down service reminds me of my mom n pop shops near La Brea.

Once again I am blown away by this restaurant. If you dance while you eat, you know it is good! They now have homemade ice cream and popsicles and speciality fruit drinks. I am telling you if you have been here it is a must!

We were looking for some authentic tacos to cure our craving and I must say I really enjoyed these! Quaint spot in a little plaza that I've passed many times and I didn't know they were here. Looks to me like a family run business which are my fave supporting the locals. It was clean and food smells delicious. I ordered 8 tacos to go and since we were staying nearby our food was still hot getting home. We definitely ate ours way too quickly to be able to take any pictures but if you're looking for some tacos at a good price this is the spot.

I was looking forward to finding a new taco spot in my new "hood" and visited based on locals recommendations on FB unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. The staff was friendly and seemed to be busy and understaffed. The wait was long but that wasn't the worst part. The inside is pretty basic the benches and tables are worn nothing spectacular like some Mexican "sit down" restaurants. The food we ordered (7 tacos & rice & beans) was all bland. We ordered Pollo, al pastor, carne, pork. The meats lacked kick and were dry. I was also not a fan of the tortillas. 3 of those were supreme hard tacos. The hard shell of the taco tasted stale. I ordered a can of Pepsi it was $2.50, thats pretty hefty. We also ordered a margarita which was yummy and sadly the best part of the meal. The means was not cheap 7 tacos, beans and rice, can of Pepsi and margarita = around $40 before tip. It was the first and last time for me.

Chicken chimichanga platillo- oh MY GOD!!! So good!

The restaurant is spacious, beautifully decorated, and has such a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and kind, which made the experience even better. The food was delicious and everything was well seasoned. I ordered the tacos al pastor, and while I personally would have loved a little more meat and some pineapple (I know every place makes them differently!), they were still very flavorful. My best friend and her husband are vegan, and they were so happy with the vegan options available. They really enjoyed their meals and said the seasoning was spot on. The only small critique was that the rice was a little salty, but overall they loved everything. We also noticed they have happy hour every day, and they were showing the FIFA match, which created a fun, lively atmosphere. Even though I'm not a huge soccer fan, it was nice to see everyone enjoying the game together. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. There were kids running up and down the isles that were part of a birthday party we were told was in the back part of the restaurant. There were multiple children running up and down the aisles during our entire 1.5 hour visit. Our server told us the supervisor said they had told this party multiple times that this was unacceptable and that the children needed to stop. It did not, until finally all of the parents left with their children and the party ended. My mother in her 70s was ran into by some of the kids and they just laughed. We witnessed six other elderly people with impaired gait almost being knocked down in this establishment by these children, running up and down the aisle. We witnessed it as they were coming into the restaurant and as well, as they were leaving and saw that these elderly people were also in the handicap spots and children running all over in the parking lot around them . Our server said a few of the children had ran into her, and that the supervisor had again told them and their parents to stop but there was no resolution until the party ended. So all of the people in the restaurant were exposed to this dangerous unruly behavior. We witnessed when the children were told to stop running their aggressive and some unwillingness to comply by continuing to behave in this manner.

Since our last visit here was so great we decided there would be no better place to take them than Alebrije. Our server was very friendly and attentive; his name was Angel. Although Angel was awesome, we did have some issues with our overall experience. First of all, there was a very large party in the back right side of the restaurant with lots of kids in it. We wanted no part of that and requested to be seated on the opposite side of the restaurant so we can talk without all the commotion and management would not accommodate our request because they said the AC was down over there. Secondly, something horrible is going on with sewer gasses seeping its way into the dining room. This is something that needs to be addressed promptly. The third issue we had was with the menu. The menu stated that the (MIX) Fajitas we ordered would include Shrimp, Beef, and Chicken for $25, when we received the bill it was an additional $2 for the shrimp, when we brought it to the attention of Angel he said the shrimp was $2 more, we did complain but nothing came of it; in my opinion they need to clarify this in the menu because to me MIX means a variety of all the meat options. Finally, the last issue is the price for margaritas. The well large margarita with nothing special added is $18. I've had much larger margaritas for $10 and $11 elsewhere, not sure where they get off charging so much for a well margarita. On the upside, our fajitas were delicious, they had a much larger mix of vegetables when compared to our last visit; however, the skillet was not sizzling when it arrived, thankfully it was hot. Although I wasn't satisfied with the size of the margarita, it was very tasty. They could do a better job on the chips and salsa situation. They claim that if you ask for extra then there is an upcharge, they haven't charged us both times we've been here when asking for more. If they did, I would be a little more upset that the chips are served stale versus fresh, they could easily remedy this by warming them before sending out to alleviate this issue. I would come back again but honestly if that sewer smell is still their next time around, I won't be back and wouldn't recommend them going forward.

Once you step inside you are greeted with artwork on all the walls and just a well decorated space. In no manner does it make you question if this is a Mexican restaurant. Menu wise they have everything you would expect plus some you wouldn't including burgers and some kid options that are in no way Mexican food. It is great to include these for those picky eaters to not be left out but I recommend even those people should give something more authentic a try. Drink wise they have all the non-alcoholic options plus cocktails and beers too. My wife snagged a Pina Colada and I got a jalapeño margarita. Pina Colada was fantastic and the margarita was solid with many jalapeños cut up in the drink but didn't have as much of a spicy kick that I expected. Food wise I got their Enchiladas Mi Bandera (basically three different meats and three different sauces) and my wife got the Chimichangas Norteñas (large). Service wise was definitely the lacking aspect of our visit. Minimal check ins from our server with an extremely long wait for food especially compared to similar restaurants. Also my wife asked about the size of their chimichangas and was told roughly half the actual size so went with two. I did enjoy her leftovers though but was crazy how off they were on the size. Portions are definitely large for many of their dishes including the giant burrito another family member got, absolutely massive. Food was good, (have had better) with lacking service in an awesome designed restaurant. Overall middle of the road and would check other spots nearby before returning.
