Yummy! If your ever in the area and are looking for some good Mexican food then head on over here! We waited about 15 minutes on a Saturday around lunch time to get seated. People were coming and going. Our server came on over right away, took our drink orders, and brought over some chips and salsa. The chips were delicious and the red salsa was so good! We were a party of 5 and we all decided to try something different. We ordered: One caldo de res (with rice) One menudo (w tortillas) One order of the chicken flautas (salad, guacamole) One mixed fajitas (rice and beans) One order of the Carne Asada tacos (beans) One order of tacos de alambre (rice and beans) Two Mexican sodas, one lemonade, one Dr. pepper Our total came out to be $73. Our food came out one by one and so we all ate at different times. The food though was delicious! The menudo is great and I loved that it was cooked well. The tacos de alambre are seasoned perfectly and the meat is super juicy. The chicken flautas were stuffed with chicken and they were perfect when dipping into the red salsa. We all enjoyed our food and left stuffed. It was busy though, so it was definitely hard to grab our servers attention whenever we needed anything.. Portions are pretty big so come hungry! read more

Taqueria Jalisco has improved drastically since my last updated review. The Mexican restaurant is not quite where it was when I first reviewed them. The food is better. But they received their liquor license again a while back. Service really has improved... maybe the really young waitresses check on us a bit too much now. Lol. Their cleanliness has improved too. A family-friendly restaurant for sure - just not my favorite in Hobbs anymore. read more

Quick service and the food was hot and fresh. This place doesn't disappoint. Great Mexican food and it's not super pricey. They also have a very nice bar which was surprising. We didn't get the buffet but opted for the red enchiladas. Even the rice and beans were tasty. Not at all dry and lots of flavor going on there. Perfect Saturday lunch spot. read more

I can't understand how anyone would ever think the food that comes out of this is anything but terrible. Been here on 2 different occasions. Once in 2019, and then again just this afternoon. The only reason I remember being there in 2019 was because of how terrible the food was the last time. Salsa that came out with the chips was 4/10 at best. I ordered the parrillada plate. It was bland, WAY OVER COOKED, and just a waste overall. Whoever the cook needs to understand when meat is cooked, it needs to come off of the grill! The meat was rubbery and chewy. This is it, this is real authentic Mexican food. If you want to stay stay skinny stay away! The chips are fresh, the food is great, and the service is friendly. Just look at the broiled cheese on my burrito, the taste was even better than it looks! The server struggled a little with English, but she was so sweet and was super attentive. A friend found this place on Yelp, her and her husband tried the food a few nights ago and loved it...so they passed the info on to me. Upon entering the restaurant you can smell the delicious aroma of fajitas. The waitresses were magnificent We ordered a carne asada (steak) burrito, chicken enchiladas, shredded chicken quesadilla, a fajita chicken quesadilla and queso and chips. Everything was scrumptious! GREAT AUTHENTIC Mexican food. Menu is huge and has pictures of most of the plates to be served. Plates come out as advertised and taste just as good as they look. If there's a place to eat at in Hobbs, this would be the place. They do serve beer. It's almost like visiting Mexico and the great food and street food they have down there. While we were there, Mariachis were playing and it made it seem more authentic. Service and timeliness of the order was awesome and everyone at my table were very happy we had come here. So I ordered the Jalisco fajitas with shrimp chicken and beef and for $14 you don't get very much and it's bland at best. I also got the Green leasco Burrito, chicken and it is actually very good. lastly I got menudo because I've never had it I wanted to try it and people said theirs was as the best and I will say it is actually quite delicious. The downfalls, I spent over $30 at and didn't get chips and salsa, I received no tortillas for my bland fajitas and the amount of the fajitas is ridiculously small.. read more

I was happy to visit the Hobbs location since I love the Clovis location as well as some of their other locations. The first day I went was on a a weekend and their was a live mariachi band playing. I truly enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and I've been back a few times. The food is usually pretty good. I definitely want to try some different items next time I go. read more

This would be good even in a big city. The meat is so tender you can practically eat it with a spoon. Don't miss the lunch buffet. It's like $10 for a spread that includes posole, cheese enchiladas, chicken enchiladas, green chile pork, chicken quesadillas, a few other meats, tacos, pork skin soup (I don't know the name), roasted jalapeños, sopapillas, tres leches cake, fresh fruit, etc. etc. Decor is unassuming. I was in Hobbs, traveling for work, and I'm really glad I found this. Right off the bat, the service was great. All of the servers were helpful, polite, and very attentive. I ended up getting the parilladas carnitas, which were absolutely delicious. These were some really tasty carnitas, and they came with an enchilada, tamale, and all the standard sides (guac, rice and beans, et cet). All in all, excellent quality for the price (very inexpensive), and if/when work sends me back to the area, I will definitely be stopping by again. read more

This place has the best carnitas I've ever had! So flavorful we had to order and extra order to go :) So if you ever go to Hobbs you have to stop here. We had the carne guisada too and it was really good Can't wait to go there again and try something new, I am sure it will be as good as what we already had read more
