My new go to Mexican restaurant. Came in at 4 pm because the sign said open but Yelp said closed. Had the restaurant to ourselves. Great food, good service and just the right amount of "local" ambiance to make it a great place to go.

Everyone -- stop what you're doing right now and go to this place and eat. As a Mexican from California (why is the Mexican food so much better out there?!), I can say that this place is the real deal. The chips were house-made, not from a bag; the beans were refried in-house, not from a can; the tortillas are hand-made, nor bought; and the food tastes like a family member cooked it with love. I'm serious -- it's the best Mexican food I've had in a long time. The hand-breaded chile rellenos were deLISH -- rich and tasty. As for the tacos, get the carnitas! -- crisp, tender, and incredibly flavorful. The service was personal and top-notch. We're definitely going back. Undone know how there's not a line 100 feet long out the door. Be thankful there isn't. Go. Go eat now.

    Happiness: four delicious tacos!

Amazing food. The most authentic I found in the area. I walked in and was greeted warmly. One of the staff walked me through the menu and pointed out a few of his favorites. I bought four tacos and they were absolutely delicious. The condiments were great as well. It's nice to see such a Well run and authentic establishment. I'll definitely be back on my next trip to Lexington.

Very small Mexican place in Lexington Va but the food was amazing and the quantity/value for price for great! We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon while traveling through. Would highly recommend. We had 5 different tacos (carne asada, carnitas, lingua, shrimp and birria)-all delicious. Fresh spicy guacamole and house made chips with queso. Two thumbs up!!

We're so glad this spot has opened. They add a great deal to an already good restaurant community here in Rockbridge County. Having spent a good bit of time across Mexico, I'll say that the food is authentic and well prepared. Service is friendly and prompt and portions are generous. Prices are fair. Recommended.

Great food and service, but a strange atmosphere if you're not from the area. We will not be going back.

We had to seek out the hostess to be seated. No menus were given nor were any napkins or silverware brought with the complimentary chips. We had to go to the hostess station and get our own menus and silverware. Eventually someone came and took our drink and food orders at the same time. Once the food came out half of our party was served, and the other half sat with no food. The food that did come was served lukewarm to cold. The half that didn't get served sat waiting while the other half finished their meals. Finally the hostess noticed that there were some that didn't have food and fairly quickly had the rest of our party served. This last round was actually served hot! During the wait complimentary chips were not replenished and additional drink orders were never taken. We tried to order straight from the bar and were told that we had to order from our nonexistent server. Clearly there is a management problem here. The servers were not trained well in attention to detail or multitasking. The napkin holders were empty and we got attitude when we asked for napkins. The salt shakers were clogged due to lack of cleaning. We have been here before and had similar issues with service. Do yourself a favor and go to Don Tequila's in town where you get excellent service, replenished drinks, and hot food served to everyone in your party at the same time.

They had a lot of customers dining in and a few picking up takeaway orders. It didn't take very long for them to take our orders and to have it come out of the kitchen. They have a spacious dining area that is decorated very much on theme with Mexican-inspired decor and murals. It was cute. I ordered carnitas and a frozen mango margarita. We also ordered guacamole to share for the table. The carnitas plate was a filling portion and was quite flavorful. I quite enjoyed it. I was really disappointed with the frozen margarita; it tasted just like juice, and I was kind of looking forward to drinking a stronger margarita. We asked for a little bit more tequila to add to it, but it didn't help much. I think was balance was all out of wack. The guacamole we ordered also never made its way to our table, and we had to ask the cashier to confirm with our waiter that they need to take it off our bill because we never got it. Overall, we had an okay experience.

The chips were clearly fresh out of the fryer, perfectly crisp, and paired with a flavorful salsa that had a nice hint of heat. We both ordered the Speedy Gonzales, featuring a cheese enchilada, beef taco, and refried beans. As expected, everything was consistently good and exactly what we've come to enjoy from that dish. The restaurant itself has a great look and feel, making it an easy and enjoyable stop for lunch. We would certainly come back again if we're ever in the area

I went ahead with that, and it was both redundant of classic ice cream sandwiches, but also delivered a highly pure dairy flavor typical of quality gelato. Some premade grab and go food options may be decent, but did not appeal to my needs at that time.
