Creamy, perfect gelato! The wife and I shared a large key lime and it was delicious. The day before, we tried our first Affogato, and wow ! A mixture of gelato and espresso, you gotta taste it to believe it! We highly recommend this little cafe in downtown Lexington. read more

This café had some conventional breakfast options, but also offered the appealing ability to get a gelato ice cream sandwich over a brioche. I went ahead with that, and it was both redundant of classic ice cream sandwiches, but also delivered a highly pure dairy flavor typical of quality gelato. I got a Matcha to balance out the sweetness. While it looks a little foamy on top, it was a very strong, almost grass flavored beverage that was appropriate to the circumstance. Someone local recommended Pronto Caffé & Gelateria to us on our first day in Lexington -- and I truly regret waiting until our last day in town to make a visit. This little shop is fantastic. From 8 AM into the afternoon, they offer delicious coffee, tea, hot chocolate, pastries, and snacks that feel both cozy and elevated. We had hot chocolate, tea, coffee, a pain au chocolat, and a butter croissant -- everything was warm, fresh, and absolutely perfect. It was so good that a few miles down the road, I seriously considered turning around to get more. The staff was incredibly friendly and patient, answering all of our questions without rushing us (there were enough staff working that there was no line). The atmosphere is clean, bright, and inviting -- the kind of place you want to linger in. Next time we're in Lexington, this will be a daily stop. Highly recommend. read more

My wife brought me a sandwich from here after she raved about the coffee and food that she got. Ended up getting the prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich, which reminded me of a sandwich I had back when I was in Europe and it was amazing. I was hoping that they had the one with goat cheese, but my wife said that this is a new menu that they had compared to the one I saw online Either way good food and would definitely come back and I'm ever back here in this town. read more

This place was super yummy! We tried a latte, iced coffee, cinnamon roll, and chocolate croissant. I loved the cinnamon roll so much, I had to buy a second before we left! It's pretty affordable with our total being less than $20! The vibe was a little questionable and we felt judged for being in our pajamas, but we were able to get past that because the pastries were so yummy. read more

I would suggest adding more flavor and zing to the fruity gelato flavors.And more vanilla to the vanilla based flavors. maybe something interesting like lemon and lavender. There is an amazing place in La Jolla, California called Bobboi that never disappoints with flavor. Nice atmosphere. Good service with a smile. What a great cup of coffee. I was on my way home from NC back to central VA and wanted a good cup of coffee before I made it back to Richmond. I found Prontos online and thought it would be a great place to stop. I got a vanilla latte with oat milk and a croissant and it was around $9. More than I would want to spend at Starbucks, but for a great coffee - it was worth it. The staff were nice and the inside was clean. There was only one open table insides but I decided to sit outside and enjoy the cutest Main Street. I'll be back in the area at the end of August and I can't wait to get a cup of coffee here again! If I lived in the area I would come here all the time. read more

I love this little Gelato spot in Lexington. Beyond an excellent selection of Gelato, they serve a variety of expresso drinks, teas, sparkling wines and Bottled beer. They also have a limited selection of ready made sandwiches and other baked goodies. Pronto is my go-to spot for reading a book or getting some work done on my laptop. There is wifi, plenty of outlets, and 2 areas by the windows that are perfect for remote work. There is always a stream of people that come in and out, but it is not nearly as packed as some of the other nearby coffee houses... which I like. It's laid back, friendly, and I don't have to fight a swarm of people for a seat. read more

Walking into Pronto is like stepping into a storybook. It looks like every description of an Italian cafe feels. I had a caprese sandwich - they toasted it for me, and it was so tasty! The bread was delicious. My partner had the tuna salad and said it was done exactly the way tuna should be. And we both enjoyed some gelato before we left - this is real gelato. The staff were chatty and sweet, and it was an obvious favorite for locals young and old. Adding Pronto to our return-to list! read more

Such a cute little coffee shop! We stopped here during a road trip and really enjoyed their friendly service and coffee. We also ordered a sandwich which was okay, but like nothing to write home about. They don't have a lot of seating, about 3-4 tables inside, so not a ton of seating options especially for a larger party--more of a grab and go spot. Masks are currently required for everyone regardless of vaccination status. read more

The gelato looked so good we came back the next day and split a small affogato, highly recommend! I did feel like 2 shots of espresso was a little too much in the small (they ask how many you want) but if you're an espresso lover and want it a little less sweet then maybe 2 shots is perfect for you! I have a rather large sweet tooth, and my craving was still satisfied. OVERALL Whether you want a sweet treat or a caffeine boost, you're in the right place! Pronto Via was one of the first vendors we booked because as soon as we heard about a dessert truck, we were sold! Neither one of us are big cake fans, but we love gelato and pie so this was a no brainer for us. Meredith and her staff are so easy to work with! We had our tasting with Meredith where she created customized comment cards with our names on them for tasting the different options - so cute! Pronto Via's manager was at our wedding and was SO friendly and even let us climb up into the truck for a few adorable photos. The gelato and mini pies were the number one thing our guests keep talking about after the wedding and were clearly a huge hit. We look forward to going back to Lexington to visit their store so we can keep enjoying all of the delicious gelato! read more

This is an adorable little cafe in Downtown Lexington that, wait for it, serves COOKIE BUTTER gelato! Ahhh! My heart. My bf and I shared a medium that gave us 3 flavors- cookie butter, hazelnut, and mint choco chip, and I got a glass of moscato (dessert before dinner 0:) ) Damn that cookie butter one was amaaaaazing! They also serve a variety of coffees and beverages as well as delicious looking breads and pastries. All for a very reasonable price!! This may be the only place to get fresh gelato but it beats going to a grocery store! read more

This gelato shop is really, really cute. Their pastries look and smell good. It looks like they also serve sandwiches and coffee. I had a small order of the salted peanut gelato ($3.35) and my friend had the same with espresso poured on top ($4.75). The gelato had bits of peanut in it. It was not as salted as I had hoped but tasty enough. Downtown Lexington is the epitome, I think, of the charm of a small town. This shop fits right into that charm. read more

My wife and I spent a weekend in Lexington, VA. One of the days we wanted to grab a quick breakfast and Pronto's sign was cool (My wife like signs). We went in and were very pleased. We each ordered coffee and it was amazing. My wife ordered their blueberry scone and loved it. I ordered a chocolate croissant and it was honestly the best I've ever had in my life. The chocolate was still warm and perfectly distributed throughout the croissant. If this cafe was in a big city, it would be a 4, but for a smaller town, it was amazing! read more

Very cool gelataria attached to the Robert E Lee hotel in downtown Lexington. The interior is very clean and modern. It stood out as the best place in town that we visited on our day trip. They have lots of flavors to choose from and service was great. We really liked our selections and they had lots of other stuff to order including coffee and alcohol if you want. A lot to like here: lovely modern, clean, inviting space and very friendly staff to start with, but the star of the show is their variety of gelato plus their awesome sandwiches. They have a great variety of well crafted coffee drinks also. My sandwich was just about perfect, which was a nice surprise considering it was already prepared and not made to order so at first I was a little concerned yet it turned out just fine, better than fine, actually. The barista said they didn't have iced tea made up but he gladly prepared some for me from hot tea and it was great but the gelato was outstanding. Afternoon light comes in via expansive front windows but doesn't produce glare or overly brighten the space making it perfect for working and they do have Wi-Fi as well. While in Lexington, Virginia for the weekend, there are not many places around here to eat. I stumbled upon this nice little cafe that serves coffee and gelato. When I walked in, the interior was very nice and I got a hipster vibe. The gelato looked delicious but I was on the search for a pasty and a pumpkin spice latte. They had desserts in stock and what I ordered was a blueberry puff pastry along with my pumpkin spice latte. This is no starbucks but they do offer 12 or 16oz sizes. Of course, I had to get a 16oz. The blueberry puff pastry was very delicious and the pumpkin spice latte was surprisingly yummy with a decadent presentation. Overall, quality cafe and would come back again. read more
