On my lone experience here there were issues. I ordered some takeout during the Covid-19 scare. They added an extra taco without my asking, which I paid for since I just wanted to get out of there. I specifically asked for everything on the tacos, but only one of the three was dressed. The other two just bare meats. They didn't bother to let me know or direct me over to the salsa bar so I could dress them myself. I specifically asked so I could AVOID doing that, for obvious reason. I suppose I could have un-bagged and opened the carton to checked them. That's what I get for assuming. Tacos were just okay. I did like that they make fresh tortillas, but only one per taco instead of usual two. Barbacoa was super wet but had good flavor with a bit of their salsa verde -- the only one that came with the diced onion and cilantro I asked for. The carne asada was cut into large cubes, had too little flavor and too little seasoning, and was a touch tough. The al pastor was just bare cubes of orange-tinted pork, no sauciness, had almost no flavor. Tacos were $2.19 each and come on a one-inch larger tortilla than an average street taco. Dressed properly I would eat their barbacoa again, likely pass on the asada, and a hard no on the weakest al pastor in town. I do hope for better service if there ever is a next time around. read more

OMG! Where to even begin with this hidden gem! The tacos (which I admittedly am not a huge Taco Guy) are INSANE! So good! Packed with flavor and taste! I love this place! I usually order the Special, which comes with 3 tacos and a baked potatoe. I usually get Barbacoa tacos, but all the meats are good, my other favorite one is Lengua. This is the only place I will eat the Barbacoa from because it's clean and by that I mean there's no fat left on the meat. The tortillas are handmade. Their guacamole salsa is good too. This taqueria is one of go-to places. Yeah, it looks a bit sketchy, but that's the price of authenticity, in my opinion. The tortillas are handmade, and that's something hard to come by in taquerias in OKC. The aguas frescas are great (my favorite it jamaica, but the horchata is delicious as well). I typically get the 3 tacos, 1 baked potato, and drink special for $9. The tacos are nice and big and they usually put the veggies on the side so you don't get a taco de cilantro and onions with only a little meat. The baked potato is also great and comes with cheese and sour cream. PRO TIP: I take the meat out of one of the tacos and put it on my potato to make a fully loaded baked potato. We always order to-go over the phone since this place is minutes away from my job and they always have our food hot and ready when we get there. Honestly, can't complaing about this place! My girlfriend had mentioned this place to me about 2 or so months ago. Only until this afternoon, is when she really wanted to stop by and turn me onto this place. I ended up liking it a lot. Really fast service. We both got 3 tacos a piece. She got 3 barbacoa tacos and I got 2 barbacoa and one asada taco. Loved the fact it also came with a gnarly cheesy & sour cream potato. So I placed an order for pick up. Got there the food was ready there was an older gentleman up front on the ordering counter when we arrived. Didn't greet completely ignored me and my fiancé. A lady came to take our order. The lady up front was having issues with the chip reader or my card that's fine I have no issue with that. She proceeds to say my card was declined and the gentleman says "declined that means they have no money in their account" out loud. With Other costumers there. Now I know I have money in my account. I wouldn't order food if I didn't. So I don't say a word as the lady is trying to figure out they card swiper. Somehow the payment went through. That was handled Very unprofessionally. This place is truly as good as it gets. The masa tortillas are home-made and it tastes so good with the tacos. Menudo: Weekend morning favorite. Even at 5pm after a long day (yes, I said long day) of drinking. It wakes you up and gets you ready for the evening. Tacos: My favorites are the barbacoa and discada. I have tried all the others and they are also very tasty. However, I am just stuck on my 2 favorites. My wife's favorite is the chicken flauta. This goes perfectly well with their guacamole or salsa. Finally, the salsa bar. THE BEST I have ever had and been too. I can drink a bowl of that stuff with my tacos. Super secret tip, mix the green and red if you want to feel the heat. We were on the hunt for some real, authentic, mexican food. This is not what we were hoping for. It was dirty. The special consisted of a plain fajita steak/chicken in a store bought tortilla, with grilled onions and peppers. Came with a baked potato loaded with yuck cheese melted on top. And a drink. That's it. My kids quesadilla had way too much cheese and were very greasy. Plus, the area is a little iffy.
