We usually order through DoorDash but they have yummy chips, salsa, and queso! We typically enjoy our food no matter what we order. The only items that weren't our favorite were the corn & potatoes so I would recommend sticking with the traditional rice and beans! read more

Went here today with a couple from church. Was disappointed when they no longer ask flour or corn tortillas. They no longer serve them with the chips and queso. They also no longer serve sopapilla at the end of your meal!!! Because we were a small group rather than the larger group, our server chose to take care of the big group and leave us!! The staff took my order over the phone did fantastic. Living in the area & I was craving Mexican. I did a carryout - my food was cooked lightning fast and it was piping hot. My order was accurate and I definitely will return when in the situation of hunger for Mexican... Maybe next time we dine in so I can quench the thirst with a margarita!!. I have always seen this place full of business and maybe I caught it on an off night, but I felt the cheese sauce was watered down. the salsa was okay until we asked for some real salsa then they were able to bring us out some salsa with a substance that was better. I ordered a combo plate with taquitos, ribs and 2 Asada tacos. The ribs were horrible and again no real flavor. The Asada was dry and the taquitos had minimal meat. Fast friendly service for early Sunday dinner. Not crowded at 5 pm. Large portions on entrees from dinner menu average $15.99 each. Food quality so so. A bit bland flavor wise.. Watery thin queso and salsa. 3% added if using card to pay. They claim cash total is a discount but not so on my bill. Paid cash and always tip well for good service. Would have tipped more if using card but 3% fee is ridiculous. Their menu prices should cover the fee. Not our favorite by any means. read more

Met a friend for dinner here this week and how am i just discovering this local place. The food is superb the service is alert and the atmosphere is authentic. They had tons of drink options large in a nice chilled glass just the way i like my margarita! It was taste also! They had several options from regular beer, wine, beerita, sangria etc. They do serve chips salsa queso and sopapillas which is always nice when a place does this! San Marcos is never a bad option. We came here to refuel after a day full of Christmas shopping and our food was served to us fast and was tasty, too! When we first sat down, I noticed how good the chips look. They were just the right amount of thickness for dipping into the salsa. We ordered a couple of margaritas and those were also tasty (I hate when you taste more mix than alcohol). Our server was also attentive. We did happen to come right before they closed which we didn't realize until our server seemed to be in a bit of a hurry and my boyfriend pointed out that around half the staff was handling napkins and silverware in the dining area while the rest of us were eating. It wasn't too big of a deal but that would be my one negative thing to say about it. So, to sum it all up, Marcos is good for some decent Mexican food as well as service. I give it 3 stars because it wouldn't be my first choice to go if I was going out with a group of friends, but it's perfect for a dinner date or for going out with the family. read more

We bank across the street. We kept noticing the parking lot is always full or close to. We decided to give it a try. On a side note. we lived in Southern California for several years. We have eaten above average Mexican food on a regular basis. We are not easy to impress. This place is legit. Chicken Chimichanga was good. Ground beef tacos are outstanding and addictive. The shrimp Chile relleno was good. Only suggestion remove the seeds from the peppers. The queso fundido is amazing. Absolutely delicious. I am blessed this place is 5 minutes up the road. My little girl always wanted to dine there, so we went to discover. The waitress Hilda didn't introduce herself ( I had to figure out on the bill), never smile or made eye contact, didn't suggest any refill. Food was just okay. This restaurant is near my home and I have wanted to try it for awhile now. My mom was in town so we decided to go there. We were seated quickly and they took our drink order immediately. We were handed menus and it felt like they were rushing us to order. Its a large menu and so it took us a while to decide what we wanted. We had to tell them several times that we weren't ready yet. They brought out salsa and queso and chips plus warm tortillas while we waited. I got chicken fajita but I didn't get any tortillas. I asked the waitress and she said I could use the leftovers from what they had brought out earlier. Not a big deal so that is what I did. They didn't give me any cheese or sour cream or guacamole for my fajitas. I would have asked but we didn't see our waitress again til I was almost done. They seemed in a huge rush about everything. They were fairly busy but not crazy busy. The chicken on the fajita was really good. Nice and moist. There were lots of fresh grilled onion and bell peppers. The refried beans and Spanish rice were great. The tortillas were fresh but mine had cooled since they were leftover from the appetizer. The food was good but the service was iffy. I have been coming here for several years, and was my weekly go to Mexican. I have always loved the food, service, and atmosphere. Unfortunately I haven't been for several weeks because the previous few times the service was severely lacking. Tonight was no better as far as service throughout the meal. Always prompt seating, if it's not crowded, with chips salsa and cheese delivered immediately followed by tortillas, hot sauce and relish if requested and drink order taken. Our waitress was not new. She did ask several times if everything was okay. I had to point out both of our drinks were empty, she only refilled my wife's. Asked for more setup only brought chips. Asked again for salsa and cheese and only brought salsa. Eating fajitas and ran out of the initial container of 4 tortillas rather quickly we both sat back waiting for her to come by. I finally drew her attention by staring at her as she stood by the wall, to which she asked if we needed to go box.. Fajitas were fantastic. Large portions. It was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. My husband and I are not picky people in any way, but for the first time in my life, I could not eat my meal. I got the Mexican Fried Rice, which turned out to be some kind of fusion dish where the seasoning was completely off balance and there were huge chunks of raw carrots and peppers. Seating is comfortable. I got the kabobs and they were really good. They have TVs inside showing different sports on so you don't miss the games. Service was quick. I also got a peach margarita and maybe took 2 sips and didn't finish it bc it didn't taste good and I couldn't taste the peach in it at all.
