My husband ordered scrambled eggs with bacon and three pancakes, but they had an issue with one of the pancakes, so they substituted a piece of French toast. When we saw the food come out to our table we instantly knew we ordered too much. The portions are huge! Anyway, everything tasted great and we took our leftovers to go for an afternoon snack. I mean, I have been a fan of Charlie Berens for a few years but I didn't realize he had his own brandy for the definitive cocktail of Wisconsin. It was delicious, but it also turned out to be $12. For my second round I just got a regular brandy old fashioned which was also quite good, but weighed in at five bucks. Let the buyer beware. Which is ultimately why Pier Plaza fell short of the fifth star. The prices feel a bit high for what it is. Granted, it's right by the water, in a remote part of the state, and thrives on tourists.
