When I'm in town I alway stop by this place. My husband has been going here since he was a kid. Friendly staff and yummy food

I went to eat lunch here yesterday. The food was okay. I had the flauta plate with rice and beans it was nothing spectacular. The service was quick. As I was leaving a waitress dropped an entire bowl of Chile de Arbol and completely soaked my back from head to toe! I had on a brand new shirt & pair of white pants. I had to rush home to wash them. Did not come out after three washes & soaking over night. All the waitress said was "sorry". I will not r

Excellent food. Service was fast and great. The menu is extensive. Small place but we'll worth visiting. They are well known for their flautas and I totally agree. They were crispy and the filling was just the right portion. Topped off with sour cream, guacamole and salsa in a banner style. The gorditas with tripas, super great and tasty.

Lots of high schoolers in line for lunch

This small restaurant chain has the very best red enchilada sauce in town! I'm not sure of what kind of chiles they are using but it is the perfect medium heat, fruity and unadulterated chile. We were very well pleased with our enchilada plates and with the service at this Lower Valley location. The plates were generous and they even served a nice sized salad and some accompanying green chile and oregano sauce for the salad. I have to admit that I came to this location because I love the food at the Montana location, but it must be emphasized that where the Montana location has good service, this Alameda location has over-the-top great friendly service. We loved our breakfast here and we will definitely be returning to this location next to Ysletta High School!

    Yummy!

Gotta give it to them! The best little hole in the wall in the lower valley! Not sure I would Drive here to eat this, but definitely a spot I would come to if I was in the area. Got the flautas based on the reviews. Yes, it's a little hole in the wall and a little old school but the food was so yummy! Even the entire family like them. Also try the nachos! Kids loved them. Oh yea, Horchata is so good! Thank you my fellow yelpers for the reviews! Couldn't have found this place without you!!!! Yummy!

Flautas bandera real good. There's plenty of meat in the flautas. The beans and rice are perfect with the flautas.

The flautas are really good. Enough meat in them and the rice and beans compliment the flautas just right

Desebrada tacos were terrible, tasted like old oil. Meat was mushy and nothing else. Flautas are ok but just that.

TDLR synopsis: sometimes service can be the reason that you come to a brunch place even though the…read morefood is just ok. I saw some pictures of a new brunch place in the Far East off Zaragoza, and it looked good. It's hidden in the back next to Sky Zone and across the street from Oasis Lanes, so finding it was a little hard. When I walked in I didn't realize it was so small because I had convinced some of the girls to come to try it out with me from the Peachlab workouts. They wanted to come out to celebrate Nurse B's birthday as well as mine because that's the type of supportive community they are, but most are vegan, so I try to find places that have vegan food alongside others so that we can dine together as a group. When I saw that Boca Brava had vegan tacos on the menu, I was really excited. What I didn't know was that on Sundays they only have a Sunday Brunch menu and it doesn't have the regular items. The vegan tacos $3 each consisted of mushrooms, bell peppers, and onions (grilled and pickled), my friends enjoyed it with a variety of salsas. Luckily for us, our waitress was amazing and she got the staff to make us some vegan tacos. They were beyond accommodating and I appreciate that. Because they obviously were in a rush to make items that weren't on the menu that day, the tacos didn't come out perfectly and they're willing to redo it and also not charge us for it. My breakfast plate of 2 eggs, hashbrowns, one bacon slice, and 3 corn pancakes (with slightly spicy maple syrup) was $15. Mimosas were $3. My hashbrowns were really greasy, but the over-easy eggs and crispy bacon were cooked perfectly. The best part was the corn pancakes, I don't think I've had a lighter pancake but with substance. It wasn't doughy which is usually why I avoid pancakes, but crispy and light, probably because of the cornmeal. It was delicious. My other friend ordered chilaquiles and said that it was delicious and not mushy. We also ended up getting 2 free chocolate cakes because they overheard us saying that it was our birthday. Our waitress even took our picture, but I got cropped out, lol, my bad I didn't check the pictures until I got home. For a new place willing to admit they can be better and put the customers first, I really think they'll do well. It's refreshing and it'll bring back repeat customers. If I lived in the far East this would be one of my regular places. Boca brava (915) 219-8700 1691 N Zaragoza Rd STE 5, El Paso, TX 79936 https://maps.app.goo.gl/exW9sS3pcPrAvNzZ6

We weren't sure what to expect driving up to it for the first time given that it is located in a shopping center. Inside isn't super big so if you're coming and it's busy be aware that there are 5-6 2-seaters (can probably be pushed together) and a couple 4 to 6-seaters. We came in at about 7:45 in the morning on a Thursday and were the only ones inside at the time. As time went on more people ended up showing up and taking tables. I ordered an "Iced Pistachio Latte"--not a big fan of the metallic straws, but thankfully they had regular straws available. The latte was good, but not great in my personal opinion. It was creamy and sweet but something was lacking. Loved the cup it came in, going with the Halloween vibe. I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in EP, and I definitely recommend this spot!!

I had the pot roast with salad, and had bread pudding for dessert. My dining partners had a chili bowl with corn muffin, a Denver omelette with hash browns and corned beef hash with potatoes, scrambled eggs and added a waffle, because WAFFLES!! Oh and they split a chocolate cream pie. So my salad was amazing, forgot to take a pic. The ranch dressing here is really good. Ripe to and crisp romaine. And nice cucumbers. My pot roast was so tender it was simply falling apart, the veggies under were nice. The gravy was yummy, I had to ask for some extra. The green beans were simply amazing here. And they had corn on the cob!!! Bi-colored, sweet, tender-crisp when you took a bite! SO GOOD. My dining partners liked their food, the Denver omelette was a picture to look at and huge. The only real complaint there was the has was just too dry. It was just shredded corned beef and small cubed potatoes. It needed something to bring it all together, she said. She didn't finish it. The 3 of them split a chocolate cream pie. It looked very nice but when cutting into it, to share slices, that was impossible, it was not set inside, it was very runny. Perhaps the waiter grabbed one that had just been made and not one that had chilled long enough, but they ate it with spoons and loved the flavor. My bread pudding was spectacular. I love Bread Pudding anyway, but this was very very good but the third bite in, it was cold, not just refrigerator cold but super cold. So I called the waiter back over and asked him to please reheat it because it was like near frozen in the middle. Which he happily did and also added some fresh whipped cream for me. So a couple of miscues with the desserts but all in all a nice birthday celebration. MAGGIE, I know you wanted me to email you, on my previous review, HOWEVER, your email address you gave bounced back as undeliverable or not an email address on several email options I have. Just to let you know, I tried. I was going to just come talk to you in person, but today was not the day to do that sort of thing. Could you check and see if your email address is correct? Thank you! Our server Alex will receive 5/5 stars for his kindness, attentiveness and attention to not only our table but his very full and frequently sat section. However, when reaching out to other staff members for assistance in his absence, there were some things that fell through the cracks. Missing silverware, condiments not being present, and at times things going forgotten or unnoticed when requested. The appetizer (pictured) Philly Egg-rolls, were the best food option we received for brunch that afternoon. It was shareable between 3 adults and filling before the entrees arrived. I wouldn't order the Monte Cristo Sandwhich again, very large, dry and just didn't pair well with the potatoes and the jam offered (pictured).
