Limited parking in front but I believe there was side parking as well. The name of the restaurant is not the comadres taqueria it's been updated to Santa Barbara Mexican restaurant. There's 9 tables and booths. Place is very clean and they have a small tv by bar. We ordered our food and got a cheese pupusa,steak Gordita, torta cubana, steak torta, barbacoa burrito and steak dinner. The pupusa was good but wished they had more options. The steak Gordita was the best thing here only thing that be better if they used melted cheese inside instead of cotija cheese. The torta cubana was okay the bread is way too doughy and they cheap out on ingredients. The steak torta something with the bread way too doughy they're better using a telera. The steak inside there was weird. Barbacoa burrito was good needs ingredients inside of it not on the plate. The steak dinner was okay the meat should have been a skirt steak but it look dry and not tender. They have a lot of Mexican pop to choose from and Mexican beer. They also offer a bar. They don't have horchata water only Jamaica water. The service was not that great. Our waitress was very quiet I could barely hear her. We were in town and I wanted some tacos! Made a quick stop at this Mexican restaurant for some lengua tacos. They did not disappoint. I also ordered a carnitas Gordita that was delicious. My husband had the flautas which were tasty too! The owner was so sweet she gave us a try of her delicious banana bread she makes and even sold us a cake to take home with us. Fantastic little place! Friendly & fast service! We ordered pupusas, quesadilla, tacos, and empanadas. All was delicious, handmade, and authentic (think lengua, cabesa, etc.). The tortillas were homemade and fresh. The meat was delicious and tender, not too fatty, even a little crispy on the edges. We ordered a mango water based on reviews here. It was large and refreshing. Chips and salsa were free and excellent. Not busy for a Monday at lunch, which is surprising. Not far from the beach I thought it would be busier with beach traffic. This place was hard to find, but so incredibly worth it. They've only been open for a few months, so the sign from the former restaurant is still hung out front. The first time we tried to go, we missed it and went somewhere else, only to find it on the way back. Luckily, I am incredibly stubborn and was determined to eat there before our vacation ended. Everything there is extremely well priced, with the most expensive thing (the burritos) at $7. The burritos were so amazing, with plenty of meat. It was so good I fought myself to finish it in the restaurant despite feeling deathly full already. My dad couldn't even finish his whole chorizo burrito (I got barbacoa), let alone the two tacos he tried with it. My mom got a papusa with pork and cheese and a chorizo taco and loved both, and my brother said he would "never look at Chipotle the same way again" after scarfing down three chicken tacos. Even though we were all too full to eat another bite, my dad and brother still got extra tacos to take with us and eat later. Looking back, I wish I had done the same; now I'm sitting here dreaming of that barbacoa... When trying to find this place, look for the worn out "king's road grill" sign next to the Noizy Oyster (to the right if you're facing it). My family went looking for a restaurant around 11am. Everything was full and we typed in "tacos" on maps and this place was the first one to pop up. It was full, but we managed to grab a seat and we were greeted by the friendly young waiter. She was hands down the nicest person I've ever met. I ordered tacos de asada and a cheese pulpusa and they were delicious. The tortillas were hand made, the carne asada was so warm and good, you could tell the pulpusas were freshly made. Don't know why they have the reviews they have. The place is very small and has terrible service! It was very slow yesterday (friday night) and they hardly had any tables in. We waited about an hour to receive our food! We got some of our food and we were told the rest was coming out. By this time, we were almost done eating and some of us hadn't received our food yet. When we told them to pack the food for to go since it wasn't ready yet and everyone was done eating, our server realized he never put the order in.
