Came here on a whim because I was craving some tacos. After a day of running chores and shopping, my sister and I were ravenous! We ordered cabeza, lengua, and al pastor tacos. Also tried their al pastor sope, shredded chicken crunchy taco, and menudo. Everything was delicious! I've had some bad menudo where they don't clean the tripe well enough and it gives off an off flavor. This place does not! They do such a wonderful job cleaning it, that it's so clean tasting that the natural flavors come through! The portion size for the menudo is great! Lots of tripe! Good food with generous portions at a reasonable price. I had the Chimichanga Ranchera, that has Guacamole, sour cream, red and green sauce. My only complaint is they don't have Beer or Margaritas. The counter service is efficient and friendly. The restaurant is similar to a culturally dressed up Dennys. The location is great close to I 80 and 395 with the stock yard within a few blocks. I love this place. My favorite place for street tacos. The cashier was so sweet. It's calm inside the restaurant. I love just about everything on the menu! Service is hit or miss. I come here for their chicken crispy tacos. They were out of chicken and informed after we were done ordering. I almost canceled our whole order if it wasn't for my Chile relleno special. Tables and restrooms need to be checked on more often. A few of the girls working in the evenings need some training in customer service. Tip: The crispy chicken tacos are a must try here. The restaurant is kept pretty cool. I ordered the 2 sopes combination and it was fresh and hot and delicious. It is fun to try different meats on different occasions. Today. thr asada was my favorite. Such a comfort food! They moved and updated their salsa bar. My favorite salsa from the bar to pair with my meal was the salsa verde! Such good flavor! I also really enjoy their pickled veggies. Simply Delicious! We were visiting Reno and looking for a quick brunch to go for the long drive home. A break from the typical fast food chain food with good quality and healthy portion food from a family run business. Carnitas breakfast burritos, quesadilla, carne asada street tacos and chimichanga ranchera were all very tasty, hearty portions. Price was reasonable and service was excellent. The food here is amazing and flavorful. The staff were engaging and incredibly helpful. The salsa bar is laden with extra flavors, but for a change, additional seasonings weren't required on my shrimp enchiladas. Generous portions, too. At least 6 prawns per enchilada, on a plate of 3. Chips and salsa? Wow! Smoky flavors and just the right amount of heat. Usually my Reno airport run is a quick turnaround, and back to Tahoe. Taqueria Los 3 Toritos was really good! We ordered a side of chips and salsa, the chips were made fresh to order and came out hot and crispy! Our usual go to for all Mexican restaurants is a bean and cheese burrito with rice, and this burrito did not disappoint. My husband ordered his "wet" and I had mine dry. We shared them both and they were equally delicious, with a good ratio of beans and cheese. The cheese was actually melted inside the burrito and the burrito was super hot. The salsa was also very good, a little spicy but great flavor. I like how they have a little side bar with different salsas, limes and escabeche. Damn, I have not had sopes this good in ages!! Aside from tacos, one of my most favorite fast/street mexican foods are sopes. I've tried them all over town but people miss the mark, some leave out the beans or the crema or the queso fresco or something that just makes it incomplete and blah. Not Los 3 Toritos though! They were so good, I came back just days apart (Sunday and today, Tuesday). I had 3 chicken sopes, extremely filling. The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned. This all was on top of a sope de masa made just right (not too hard not too soft) and una "embarrada de frijoles" (smeared on beans). The topping including fresh and crisp lettuce, crema, queso fresco, onions and some cilantro (also a slice of tomato but I eat it separately). Top it off with their green salsa and bam, heavenly goodness. Their carnitas and al pastor tacos are also legit, my daughter loves both of them. We heard from some friends that this place was good and thought we would try it. My wife and I came here about 2:30 pm on a Friday for our weekly lunch date. Inside there are about 10 booths and a few tables. It was not very busy. We went up to the counter, checked out the menu board and asked some questions. My wife chose a shredded beef chimichanga and I chose a shredded beef wet burrito. We had a seat and waited for our order number to be called. My wife use the restroom and commented on the overall cleanliness. In a short while our order number was called and we picked up our orders at the counter. They looked really good! We quickly dove into our meals since we were having a late lunch, they were delicious. Overall this was a great experience and we would highly recommend. So glad I live near this place!! I got the 4 taco combo (Asada), the wet burrito combo (chicken, a mini burrito (chicken) and a regular burrito (Asada). Prices were SUPER reasonable which was nice. Tacos were SO good. The hot sauce they put on sure is hot! But even so, I ordered extra green salsa which was hot as well but with a stellar flavor. Combo came with rice and beans that my daughter devoured and asked for more. Wet burrito was super good. Whatever it was smothered in had a kick but was so filling. Why have I avoided this place? I stopped by after climbing at the gym and was pleasantly surprised. Every bite was good. My favorite was the Al Pastor. What great flavor. The carne asada was different than I've ever had; the meat was in tiny juicy bites (not quite shredded and not quite ground, but also not bites of steak like normal. It's perfect. The guacamole was fresh and had bright flavors. Be careful neither the green nor red salsa is especially mild. They both have heat, though the red has much more. Tried out this "hidden gem" mexican restaurant and hands down, fantastic and delicious tasting authentic food. Pulling up to the location it might not be what you except or even in the inside, but here comes the quote "Do not judge a book by its cover." Don't just this place by its environment. I went a head and order two tacos de lengua (tongue), one taco de asada (steak), chips and salsa, and a side of beans so I can dip my chips in as well. I am a big fan of chips and beans/bean dip. Right off the bad, the lengua was very juicy, tasty and cook fantastically as it seems to melt in your mouth within every bit! Some of the best lengua tacos I have had in a while!! The asada tacos were just as good especially with the spicy salsa they put on, incredible! If you are not a fan of spice, I would definitely recommend getting the tacos with no salsa and I guarantee they are just as good! I also order a Tostada de Ceviche with Shrimp and if you haven't tried them out here, you are missing out. The taste of freshness of the seafood and veggies that are made for the ceviche had my taste buds beyond happy! One of my favorites here. The beans were really good, just like if they were made at home; I had to take some home so I can have more chips and beans as a snack. I recommend Los 3 Toritos and can not wait to go back to have some more tacos de lengua and see what else is I should order to try out. Bummed that I'm moving out of Sparks when I just discovered this place! This is one of those authentic mexican food joints that has taken root in a former fast food restaurant. This one might have even been an old taco bell. It has an extensive menu with multiple meat choices from mainstream to those us muggles are mostly squeamish about. I had a street taco plate with asada and carnitas and my dining companion had the carnitas burrito wet with verde sauce. Both items were excellent. The condiment bar had all the usual suspects from salsas to radishes. The salsas were on the hot side but still tasty. Wish I had taken pictures! Sorry about that. Come and check this place out! My sister in law came to the office one day with some to go food and I peeked at it while she was eating it, it looked like some kind of ceviche and I asked her if I could try it, she said yes.... This was the beginning of a new ceviche craving!!! Sure enough I was at taqueria los 3 toritos the following day getting my own ceviche tostadas. Everyone has their own preference on how ceviche is made, mine is how they make it here. It has a more firm texture making it less slimy which is why I like it. I could not believe how good this place was...and they have the best prices I jave ever seen. The flavors were good and everything tasted fresh. THE EMPLOYEES WERE ALSO SWEET AND HELPFUL.
