Our go to taqueria when in town. We usually stay across the street at SL. VIP highly recommended this place and from day 1, they have been AMAZING! The super burritos and tacos are always a hit! Whether you get carne asada, pastor, carnitas ....omg, they are full of flavor and big! Oh, let's not forget salsas, always on point. Service. Always friendly, fast, and always clean. Highly recommended! They have a large menu. So much to choose from, I may have to try something different next time.

Hands down my favorite taqueria ever!!!! Omg ! So I'm from the bay , SF 4 me n San Jo 4 my man . We were looking for Mexican food on our handy dandy Yelp and came across this place which is right across the street from where we're staying. We went over there with not high expectations. Place was packed with locals, so that sounded promising. We ordered based on the yelp reviews a pastor super burrito wet with green sauce and a super burrito wet with red sauce. Both were incredible. So damn delicious. It was so good I'm coming back tomorrow to take burritos home on the way home. Absolutely delicious the sauce was fire the meat was tender and perfectly seasoned. One of the best burritos we ever had and we're coming from the bay so you know that shit serious. This is going to be our must stop whenever ever in Reno. They didn't give us chips that's an extra charge, however they did give us a couple sauces for our burrito. Yum Yum

We were waiting for it to be 3 to check in at the silver legacy and decided to get some lunch and found this place from the great views and it did not disappoint the service was fast the workers and the owner are so lovely and love what they do to fill our belly with authentic Mexican food, food was so flavorful and portion size was good and very affordable... Would definitely come back when we come visit again

Seen a review on yelp and thought we would try it. Walking distance from El Dorado right next to Circus Circus. I Cannot recommend this place enough - service was quick and friendly. Staff cleaned tables as soon as customers left. --But the food, was so good. I got the chimichanga with grilled chicken. It comes with rice and beans in it. I'm not a big rice and big fan-But this was so good!! Don't let the price scare you away. It was worth every bit of it. And it was huge!! I took 3/4 of it back to eat later my husband got the green wet burrito and he said it was very good. He had half of it to take back home. I'm really contemplating trying to go there again before we leave from our trip. Highly recommend. You won't regret it!

This placed saved us, and our wallet! We were sick of walking the casinos and trying to find a decent restaurant, when we decided to look elsewhere, outside of the hotel area. Just across the way we found this small but comfortable Mexican restaurant that took great care of us. Their food was delicious, I'd highly recommend the tostadas! If you're looking to take a break from the busyness of the casinos, go here!

Best secret across from the Silver Legacy- hot, yummy and won't break the bank. This tastes like authentic Mexican food. Our go to place when we are in Reno.

Authentic Mexican restaurant in downtown Reno across the street from casino. Reasonable prices, modest interior, friendly service. We shared a shrimp burrito which was delicious. They even wrapped up each half separately for us. Will definitely go back next time I'm in this part of town.

This place is a hidden gem. The definition of a mom and pop restaurant. I came here for breakfast and ordered the menudo. It was absolutely delicious. They allowed me to order it with a mix of corn and flour tortillas. It also came with a tray of chips and salsa. The bowl of deliciousness didn't smell funky and the meat was melt in your mouth tender. I will be sure to remember this place for future trips to Reno.

    Chile Relleno, w/rice and beans

My husband and I were very hungry and tired of spending mega money on subpar food at the casinos. Stumbled across the Taqueria and could not have been more pleased. The service was quick and easy as you order at the counter and take a number. The food was exceptional. The rice and beans were seasoned to perfection with authentic Mexican flavor!! The chili relleno were homemade not from a can, which is hard to find!

We always hit this place for food when staying at Circus Circus. The traditional Mexican ambience with great food and service. It has never let us down yet

Very friendly staff, order at the back register and then take a seat at whichever table, they give you a number to place on your table. They bring out your food as it's ready. Complimentary salsa & chips, homemade and fresh! The portions are huge and pricing is very fair. Very authentic dishes, great flavors, HUGE portions! The super burrito is seriously super in size. Very casual, very humble, not a fancy place at all, with great food.

Ok. This will be a quick one and for those of you who tried this place will know. I would like to say... I am craving for you - soft taco lengua and cheese quesadilla! The service is fast. Order up at the front. They'll give you a number and you find a spot to sit. They'll serve you free chips and dip. It's warm and toasty. You're not even finished with the appetizer and your food is already being served. I love how the lengua is so soft and melts in your mouth. Oh my!!!! I'm literally craving for it right now! Haha. The ambiance inside is ok. The music and or the tv is not loud. You can relax while you're eating too. But for us it's a quick in and out. We went around lunch time and it was uhm ok I think. The people kind of I don't know how to say it. Lol. It's as if we're aliens eating in a taqueria. Hahaha. So to dine in again, maybe not. The parking, you have to park on the side street. Or you can park up front but only 2 cars can park. To top it all, I will go back and order their food again and will try the other ones on their menu. Because why not specially the food is really good!

Great food and service. Chile Relleno.

This is such a cozy and unique restaurant. Everything we ordered was something I had never tried before. We started with cocktails. They have a big variety of margaritas, beer, and other signature drinks. For our appetizers we ordered the blue corn bread which is served on a mini cast iron skillet. This corn bread is sweet, but also has some spicy chili flavor. We shared the fish ceviche with tuna. It was so fresh and the flavors were out of this world. Tangy, sour, a little spicy. For my main I went with the special for that weekend which was the Sea Bass. So flaky and buttery. It was served on top of a kind of fried rice. Overall great experience here. I would prepare for a 2hr experience so that you can enjoy all meals equally!

The numerous booths were cute, but really too small for four people. there were quite a few larger tables for eight or 10 people. Four four , It's a lot of cozy togetherness, which is probably fine for a family, but not for other circumstances. The halibut entrée was very good. The short ribs were kind of average. The other two guests were mixed in their review of the entrées as well. Our our server was super nice , attentive and knowledgeable - while he was with us - but would disappear for long periods of time such that we had to get up to get their attention several times to get additional items. The restaurant was not particularly crowded, but there was something going on at another nearby table - perhaps a VIP, family friends or owner (?) that attracted a gathering of several servers for long periods of time, so it was hard to get our servers attention. I'd be surprised if that was a common scenario, but it happened while we were there. Ambient noise was fine . Prices were on the higher side for my expectation, but the presentation was very nice. It was pretty good, would probably do 3 1/2 stars if I could, but it definitely isn't equal to the various four stars I've rated locally.

The patio has such a great Midtown vibe, and I'm always happy supporting local small businesses. We ordered a little bit of everything: ribeye gorditas with homemade tortillas, street tacos, quesadillas, loaded papas, elote, and I even attempted the AYCE tacos. The carnitas was some of my favorite in town, the guac was delicious, and my friend loved the skirt steak tacos. Plus, the three salsas they serve are all so good. Mexcal is a taco joint serving up elevated tacos that you can order one by one. These things are loaded up with protein and toppings, and they do not skimp on the portions! I was also shocked by how much duck they loaded up the duck confit taco with. That was probably my second favorite. Super tender duck with tons of flavor. The bread arrives with that perfect crusty exterior and airy interior that holds up beautifully once it's "drowned" in the vibrant, slightly spicy tomato-chile sauce. The pork inside is tender and flavorful, and the balance of acidity, heat, and richness feels fresh rather than heavy. It tastes remarkably close to what you'd find in Jalisco, which makes it feel genuinely authentic rather than a watered-down version for tourists. We also got tacos dorados de papa and those were pretty amazing too. The micheladas and chavelas are just as impressive.
