My hubby and I stopped by for lunch not realizing we just found our new go to place. Our waitress was nice and welcoming. The sopes were filling and the enchiladas were amazing. Everything tasted homemade. We can wait to go back!

Unexpected surprise. Very local and authentic Mexican fare. Busy on a Saturday afternoon. The servers appeared to be overwhelmed but were very gracious. We were served complimentary drinks for the longer wait. I enjoyed my fajitas. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Festive vibe.

I pass by this restaurant daily on my way home from work and never noticed it. The building on the outside is plain and set in a tiny strip mall. But walk inside and it comes alive with wonderful cooking smells and colorful murals-such a surprise! They also have a small bar with a variety of tequilas and while the margaritas look very good the VIP Michelada is the cocktail main character. It's kind of a cross between a michelada and a shrimp cocktail and it's delicious! I also really loved their chips and salsa-couldn't put my finger on exactly why but I couldn't get enough of them. The salsa was very smooth but with bold flavors and the chips were very fresh. For entrees we had flautas and taco combo-both very good. Service was good-only small complaint is that the beans were watery and lacked much flavor. Overall a great experience and I highly recommend!

Don't hesitate if you want authentic Mexican food. A little bumpy but totally worth it to come into the Small restaurant. Service is friendly and quick and the food is absolutely delicious. I got the fajita sin tortillas .. because I just don't eat the tortilla. 3 proteins: asada, chicken & shrimp. Some guacamole.. because one must. And a Modelo Negra. It's delish. Do it! Come here!

    Chilaquiles

The agua chile has beautiful presentation and good flavor Also tried the green chilaquiles those where amazing with the beans and rice Tried some tacos the tripe is the best everything else was missing salt Service was speedy and really nice! They have beautiful art on the wall and it is easy to have a conversation without feeling that you're being too loud or not loud enough

A must stop whenever we're in the area. Food is good, hearty and homey - and we are never disappointed. Staff is amazing as well.

Stopped in for a late breakfast at about 11 and the place was empty. I ordered the Carne Asada Burrito con huevo and a Cafe de Olla. Sat down and my meal arrived quickly. Food was freshly prepared and served hot. The burrito was bigger than I expected making it totally worth its price. The cafe was spot on, exactly the flavor I was looking for The restaurant is clean and the staff were very friendly. Stop in and check out this authentic Mexican restaurant!

Time tax: Unless you are rolling with someone in a higher tier of the players club you are going to wait. Sad but true, Maybe I was at fault for arriving as late as I did around 7:20pm but I wasn't sat until closer to 8:30. The line was peculiar. So many people skipped ahead. There was only one person at the register. Occasionally the nice blonde manager lady would come over and ring a few parties up, the line went fast for a few seconds, but the chap at the register only worked fast when the manager came by. Otherwise he took his sweet time, he'd only rush if another VIP waiting to skip the line showed up. It was often, this buffet is popular and the skippers show up in force, especially late. Server Attention Tax: the servers on a normal day work hard, they close at 9:00, they warn you when 9 approaches and it's a wrap, on the seafood buffet days they are not motivated, because they stay late. They act like they aren't getting paid for the extra time. I sat down around 8:25 and no one took my drink order till like 8:40. I was worried I would get a single plate but to my surprise they didn't shut down shop right at 9:00 in fact they were still seating people. So that was cool. But the servers are in no rush. I don't want to get all Mr. Rogers about it, but if you get me my beverages sooner, I'll get out of your hair sooner, you are literally prolonging your own suffering here. The seafood Tax Rebate: the seafood is good, fresh fish, crab legs and all the regular sides. Crab is offered seasoned crab boil style or plain steamed, make sure to wander around. Overall: I love to eat good, I'm not crazy about flights, hotels or hardware stores because I don't think value necessarily is affected by where you go. (There are a few exceptions) I think service flavors cuisine, Here the service isn't adding a respectively great flavor. Sure if you spend a lot of money here you should get some priority but even Vegas doesn't forget about the little guy. I felt sorry for the people with kids in the line. Even though my server was slower than forest growth I still tipped them. But like value lost the taste was unpleasant. If you don't like being exposed to prejudice I assure you the 'regular line' WILL make you feel like you have no civil rights. But if you're able to suffer all that for a few rounds of delicious crab then you should go right on ahead, don't let me stop you

Our souls kids love the sushi all you can eat deal, so our gang of 6 took it. Our server promptly brought us drinks and food. Just looking at the ginger and wasabi tray, I could predict that it would be delicious and fresh. We couldn't believe that we ate everything including an extra bowl of clam chowder and a few scoops of Greenpeace ice cream. Hotel food is usually boring, but not at the Peppermill. Great job!

We were celebrating my coworker's birthday while we were in town for work, so I made sure to note in our OpenTable reservation that it was her birthday. Sadly, that was never acknowledged. No one wished her a happy birthday, and there wasn't even a small dessert or any recognition, which was disappointing. Our server, Tyler, was friendly, but the service was very inattentive. I understand restaurants get busy, but another table was seated next to us about 10 minutes after we arrived. By that point, we had already ordered our drinks, appetizer, and entrees. Despite arriving later, that table received their drinks and food before we did. Their server was consistently checking on them, clearing their plates promptly, offering dessert, and bringing their check without them having to ask. Meanwhile, I repeatedly had to turn around and look for our server whenever we needed something. He would eventually notice me and come over, but we shouldn't have had to keep searching for him. After we finished our meals, our empty plates sat on the table for at least 10 minutes while nearby tables had their dishes cleared and checks delivered. Because service was taking so long, I decided to order my dessert to go. My original plan was to enjoy half of it at the restaurant and take the rest back with me, but I didn't want to wait another 20 minutes for dessert to come out, then spend more time trying to find our server for a to-go box, and then wait again for our check. When I received my butter cake, it was honestly the most unappealing butter cake I've ever been served. It looked like it had simply been tossed into the container, and to my surprise, it was served completely cold. I've dined at many upscale restaurants and have ordered butter cake countless times, and I've never been served one cold simply because it was packaged to go. I took one bite and was immediately disappointed. I asked Tyler to remove it from the bill because I didn't feel comfortable paying $15 for a dessert that looked poorly presented and was served cold. He explained that when the butter cake is ordered to go, it's served cold. Whether that's the restaurant's standard or not, it wasn't communicated beforehand, and it definitely wasn't what I expected. The food and drinks themselves were good, which makes the experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, the level of service did not match the quality of the food. Between the inattentive service, the lack of acknowledgment for my coworker's birthday, and the disappointing dessert experience, this visit fell far below our expectations. Sadly, we won't be returning.
