There is a salsa bar with a good selection of staple salsas, and every other month they have a really hot red sauce that my friend loves to eat! (I won't touch it - too hot for me!) They have another taqueria and the crew switches back-and-forth between both of them. I find that sometimes the flavor is a little bit better, depending on who is working. I've been going to Taqueria Los Compadres since they opened and the food has always been good but the last two times have been bad. Today I ordered a carnitas burrito. I started eating it and right away I noticed it tasted burnt. I opened it up and found the carnitas was almost black. This has been a favorite of ours for a long time, but after today, we won't be back. We always ordered 2 super burritos and a taco salad with two fountain drinks and the most we spent was $35. Today we ordered the same thing and it came to $50! Not to mention the family right behind us ordered 3 burritos, nachos, and 4 drinks and it only came to $44. Mind you, the lady in front of us paid more for what she normally orders as well. Are they deciding who to upcharge, or what's the deal?? Plus the portion size has also gone down. Came here with my friend Michael. He said they had really good shrimp burritos and you know what, they DO! You get in line, grab your drink in the cooler, order, pay, sit down. The food comes out super fast. They have a salsa bar with grilled jalapenos, guacamole, limes, radishes and three salsas. It's really our fault, as we were hung up on 3 times when trying to place our order so we should have known the experience was going to be poor. But we have eaten here in the past and we're satisfied (3 stars in the past) so we wanted to give it another try. We finally got our order placed, the lady on the phone was pretty rude and short. My husband went in to pick it up and he misunderstood me, he thought I ordered quesadillas, not enchiladas. He called me to confirm, but in the meantime they started making quesadillas to fix the order. When he confirmed with me that they were correct, the lady in the front literally yelled at him saying they already made the quesadillas. I heard my husband (over the phone) ask her not to tell at him and tell her he will pay for everything. She continued to tell, telling him he messed up. When he asked her to confirm that the enchiladas had no meat, she could not answer. So all in all, we paid $30 for what should have been a $20 meal and we were yelled at while picking up our food. I absolutely love Mexican food. I feel personally if you want recommendations about certain spots I'd be someone to go to. First time coming here. Got the burrito asada super and it was so bad. Tomato's from the Pico tasted old and the meat tasted freeze burned like a freezer burn taste. so gross! I've been coming here for 5 years. The food has always been good and the staff is friendly. I was about to walk in at 8:30pm 4/29/2021 and there were over 20 people without masks. The place was absolutely packed and the line to order was 3/4 of the way to the door and not a single person in line was spacing or wearing a mask. The sign on the door says must wear a mask and they decided not to enforce it. I am not going to risk my friends or families lives during a global pandemic for some food. I was thoroughly disappointed and my family will not be returning. The majority of people do not understand what being asymptomatic means and will freely risk the lives of others. Only half the nation is vaccinated and this is highly unprofessional and dangerous. Shame on them for not protecting their customers. read more

In the past I had to come when my kids were otherwise occupied since I couldn't get them to eat burritos without complaining. My kids now like it so much they go on there own. Lady behind the counter that took my order was very friendly. Didn't no what meat to go with so she left me sample them. Grilled chicken, chile verde , & asada was bomb. It was a hard decision. I phoned in a large order since we can't dine in and the lady on the phone was really rude and hang up on me. I called back and then she seemed so rushed and still rude. When I went to pick up my order you could tell she didn't want to help. When we got home we noticed that the salsa dressing was missing and a burrito was missing the meet. I called to let them know that the order was not right, and the person that answered the phone was also rude. I asked his name and he said it was Jose. He said to take the burrito back tomorrow and for them to see it.
