Wow! Best taco salad I've had in a long time. Charbroiled steak, whole beans, carmelized onions, guacamole and sour cream included. Charming interior, 4 kinds of salsa to choose from. Al Pastor was decent Cons: Very limited parking High School is across the street. Prices for some things are not competitive with other local burrito joints nearby. Quantity for price is lacking a bit Salsa was not my preference It's decent for Gresham but nothing that will blow your mind. I will come back to try Pozole but I'm spoiled with so many great taco / Mexican places in the area to choose from this one doesn't yet stand out in my opinion though I've only had their burrito so far. read more

When I wite a review, they are few and far between. My main concern is the food. We saw that this place had numerous stars so we had to try it out. Mexican is my wife's favorite but not mine because they all seem the same. Not this place. The food was remarkable. It was more than reasonably priced and they did this by having you order and pay at the counter. The only thing I didn't like was the plastic knife, fork, and spoon. No problem as we will bring our own next time. There will be many next times I suspect. I just had the leftovers and it was just as good as last night, I ordered the fish burrito and a chili relleno ( which I forgot how to spell ) I hope you enjoy the food as much as we did. read more

Beautiful tasty food! So far we have tried all of the taco choices, several burritos, taco salad and the crunchy fish tacos. Everything was excellent, especially the fish and the chicken. They are still masks on inside but have a big patio area that is mask off. read more

Wow! This place has some delicious Mexican food. I have been here twice this week and I think I found the best kept secret in Gresham (at least for Mexican food). I stopped in today for a breakfast burrito and it was huge. I've fallen in love with their white salsa. If you try it, be prepared - it has a kick... it's hot jalapeño spicy and cool sour cream work very well together. The burrito was packed full of egg and in my case bacon as well as cheese and a little potato. The staff here has been super friendly. They also have an amazing outdoor patio under some beautiful trees. I am already looking forward to my next visit... maybe dinner? read more

More Mi Jalisco greatness! I popped in to pick up breakfast for my family and was greeted with a spicy salsa! They recognized me and my Yelp review and knew exactly what I wanted! How incredible is that?! So, the spicy salsa...salsa muy picosa! Woo! This stuff packs heat and flavor. It's a slow building heat that lingers across your tongue minutes after you're done eating! The flavor is unique. I'm not sure on the chili pepper used honestly. It has a slight sweetness, but I don't get that fruity habanero flavor nor the typical orange color. Maybe red jalapenos, but different in style, heat and taste to Sriracha. Whatever it is, its great and melts your face! Grab some in the drink cooler, as it's not kept over by the other salsas. Since we seem to be struggling to deviate from our typical order choices, I can only update on the "fast burrito" that my daughter ordered. She's five years old and adores bean and cheese burritos. I always steal a bite as honestly, I love them too (like eating a childhood memory). This one is top notch. The beans are flavorful, with no off flavors or textures. The cheese seems like Oaxaca...which is brilliant! The overall effect is a creamy and delightful treat. read more

As a Mexican person I judge a Mexican restaurant based on their beans and rice and I'm happy to say they passed the test. My 3yr old finished all of the beans and rice and along with 2 of their tortillas; I have to add I wish they would've been hand made lol but over all the food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Cafeteria style food with tons of high school kids taking up all of the tables and leaving a mess all over the floor. Ordered shrimp tacos and the shrimp had gone bad. Couldn't eat it. You had to get your own chips from a warmer in the back with small containers to get your own sauces, which wasn't terrible, but they were just out in the open, not covered. Overall, horrible food. The meat was perfectly cooked, that excellent combination of crispy edges and juiciness. And the size of the taco meant I only needed one when combined with the generous self serve chips and salsa. Came in for an early lunch a few weeks ago. Nothing positive to say. Rice was dry beyond edible, my dish tasted a little -frankly- garbagy. My wife's dish -a type of mole- was mediocre at best and a different style than we prefer. I can only guess that all the 5 stars are from kids that maybe haven't had better. I have been to Taqueria Mi Jalisco before, but today was really disappointed. First the good: I love how clean this restaurant is. Beautiful wood floors. Super cute little taqueria in old town Gresham. There are two patios outside for outdoor seating. I have a dog so I love that. I appreciate that they do not put frozen peas and carrots in their rice, which I hate and seems to be an Oregon thing. They also include chips and an assortment of salsas with each order, which no one else seems to do around here despite it costing so little. I was really pleased the past few times, but today I was not pleased. I ordered the burrito with shrimp and meat which cost $10.99. When I grabbed my bag I could already tell that the burritos were smaller than usual. The bag wasn't as heavy. Mine of course was the smallest and most disappointing. The quality of the food is great, but if I pay $11 for a burrito I expect it to be full. This was a flimsy tortilla loosely filled. Barely anything in it. I was pretty sad. Put some more rice and beans in it if you need to, but fill it up. I like nice fat burritos, not a big, barely filled tortilla. read more

This spot tastes really good, great prices, fresh tasting ingredients. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because they don't cut the silver skin/ chunks of chewy fat off the steak, so every couple bites you might get a chewy piece of meat. I live two streets over from this establishment. My son, grandkids and I walked over and enjoyed a delicious evening dinner on Saturday night when they came to visit. We sat outside on the patio. The food was delicious, fresh and very nicely plated. There was excellent flavor and large portions even for the plates we ordered for the children. The prices are great and the service was exceptional. I walk my dog daily past this restaurant and have watched a great deal of work put into this establishment. The restaurant as well as the restrooms are clean and tidy. It's cherry, relaxed and a great place to eat. It's hands down one of if not the best authentic Mexican restaurants in Gresham. My son and I tried the wet burrito with carnitas as our meat selection. The meat was so flavorful and their salsa is awesome. We both took home half our burrito because it was that big.
