Grabbed some tacos here and was pleasantly surprised. The cesina tacos aka the salty beef tacos were delicious. Can't say much about the service because you are getting served through a window. As far as timing goes, there wasn't anyone there before me so my wait wasn't long. However, a couple others who came by and ordered complained about the wait time. I recently grabbed a burrito from this small shop and it was honestly just ok. I went with the al pastor burrito and there was more rice than anything else. Wheres the meat? It did taste pretty good though and super fresh. $12. I was expecting something that would knock my socks off seeing that it looks like its an authentic place but not so much. Came in today at 12:20 pm. Tamales are on the menu. When I asked for Pollo Mole Tamales and asked the guy behind the counter how much they were he made a face and told me they were out. No one was there. And I doubt they were out ... it was only 12:30 in the afternoon. I'll go back to my usual spot in Harlem where I'm a regular and get at least 20 every time I go. Stop giving them good service at your establishments when they give you BS service at theirs. read more

So, the TL-DR is, good food, hearty portions, but expect to wait awhile. And don't be afraid to knock on the window to order. I had zero expectations, but reading through the reviews that there is one cook and one employee, it's no wonder that service can be sluggish. BF and I ordered the spicy pork burrito and chicken pozole (an off-menu item, which I saw scribbled on a sheet on the plexi wall. The total came to like $27 so i was a little taken aback. I was expecting dirt cheap. But when I received the order, I finally understood why. The pozole came in a giant quart container, large enough for at least 2-3 to share. So no, don't come expecting a little cup of soup. It was filled to the top with hot chicken broth, hominy, and lots of shredded chicken. There were spices packed separately, as well as the limes and chopped onions. It also came with an order of 2 crispy bean tostadas which were delicious. The steaming soup hit the right notes on the rainy evening. Try the house made salsas- they are amazing. The pork burrito was standard issue, BF said it was good, and then scarfed it up. All in all, very authentic, and flavorful. There is just one table inside the semi-perm structure. Expect to eat elsewhere. read more

Wandered in after climbing at the nearby Metrorock! We had high hopes for a quick and delicious taco stand and were not disappointed. The four of us ordered a smattering of tacos, chips and guac, and a burrito. The carne asada and bistec tacos were good and savory, the pollo/chicken were juicy but could have used some extra flavor. The only real complaint was that the burrito wasn't quite as flavorful as expected. This small restaurant is better for pick up than it is for eating in-house but it is perfect in this quarantine world. It is easy to find at night as it is lit up very well and similarly to it's previous taco truck! So why only 4 stars? I loved the breadth of food that was offered but I wish that the burrito matched the tacos. So maybe 5/5 for tacos, 4/5 for the burrito? Will give it another go next time! read more

I was just now on a cold as hell bike ride and got hungry so I went into this weird closet kind of takeout restaurant and ordered two tamales, verde and mole. It was $4 for both. I took the wrapped up tinfoil across the street, leaned against a concrete wall, pulled down my mask and opened up the small but weighty package. Hot and steamy, the green sauce was tangy, the mole very chocolatey. I'm home now and I feel like that was the best thing I've had in ages. Can't wait to go back. Randomly encountered this small taco shop in Brooklyn. We decided to just order a bunch of things from burritos to tacos and quesadillas. It was all amazing. It was just one man in the kitchen and he killed it. Everything was made on the spot. Even the guac was made right infront of us. The hot sauces are also fire. Came here on a Friday night at 9:30 and just beat a line of 10-15 people. As is, we waited ~ 5 minutes for our 6 tacos. We ordered all the tacos on the menu. Overall the staff appeared a little annoyed by their customers, they didn't seem thrilled to answer questions or offer suggestions. However the flavor of the tacos was good and spicy. I am a sucker for spicy food; their red hot sauce is actually pretty hot and I dumped the whole thing on my tacos. The meat was dry and low quality; and one of taco meats was disgustingly rubbery and tasteless. However, if you are post 3 beers and really hungry, for $10 you can have a feast. read more

Great addition to the neighborhood. Definitely more along the lines of "LA street tacos": meat, onions, cilantro, salsa, soft double corn tortilla, in contrast to Tres Hermanos down the street which is very good but kind of it's own thing (crema and lettuce on the tacos, strange tortillas). The breakfast tacos are really good, and beyond that I get al pastor, chicken, and bistec. The bistec is the good tiny charred pieces like you want. The only reason this is 4 instead of 5 is because they can be a little slow sometimes. I feel like they're just overworked because the place is so new! read more

I work very close and probably eat here twice a week if not more. The breakfast tacos are cheap ($2.50 each) and amazing, you just have to get them before 11AM usually (bacon egg and cheese is my favorite). The tamales are great as well and the burritos aren't bad, I haven't had a lot of things on the menu but all in all it's a good inexpensive spot to grab breakfast or lunch. Not the best if you're in a huge hurry since the staff is small and they take orders while they cook, just call ahead if you're in a rush. read more

I was in Tacqueria Mi Mariachis for about five minutes, which was long enough to pick out what I wanted to eat from the menu, but apparently not long enough to get the attention of the staff in this empty except for one person dive. read more

Me and my girlfriend honestly just went in because we were told to go try out their food but was a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT we ordered a torta,burrito, and quesadilla to go but honestly guys DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY !!! food was terribly served the salad for the burrito is not even like a salad such little effort they put in their food and meat is so bald and who puts cilantro in a burrito that more tortilla than the filling itself The prices are not even that good $8 for a burrito that that i can get for a better prices and 10x better quality in their menu they tell you they put "avocado ,cheese,and onion" in the torta but that was no where to be found in our torta!!!!!! read more

This place is totally excellent! I am An artist with my studio in the neighborhood and I'm always looking for a decent place for breakfast lunch and dinner this place excells at all 3 meals. I had been getting my tacos there for a couple of years and trust me this is a great neighborhood for tacos Odi and his family make the best ones around, Yes this is a little mom and pop shop and they go out of their way to make me happy they are so kind polite and fast. I typically get three Carnitas tacos and they're completely filling and just super delicious the green hot sauce is super flavorful while being super hot and the fresh lime on the side is a really great addition the soft tacos are heated through and through and they melt in your mouth. Recently I tried something with mole and it's out of this world, It's easily is the best mole sauce I've ever had, I've been ordering dishes with Mole from them every single day because they're amazing!!! Pricing was OK. Menu food pictures didn't do anything to whet my appetite but they were honest at the very least, haha. I sat down to wait after I ordered a torta and some tacos. Rested my arm on the counter by the window and got bitten by some blood-sucking pest (not sure what since I completely smooshed it before taking a look at the culprit.) Meanwhile, the guy preparing my food munched on a stalk of celery. I waited about 15 minutes for the food, which wasn't bad given that there were two people queued ahead of me. Didn't feel like eating on premises as there was no AC and possibly more of those bloodsuckers lying around. No bathroom for customers either; not even to wash my hands. Anyways, when I finally managed to take a few bites our of the torta, I realized he left the cheese :(.
