Delicious, creative meal with friendly and attentive service. Enjoyed the gem salad, Nancy cakes, lamb tartare and wood grilled half chicken. Side of the beef fat sticky rice. Nancy cakes: yes I could eat these every visit. Really good combination of flavors and textures. Everything was nice: lamb tartare was delicious, salad was strong. Chicken satisfying. Had a solid dessert too: hazelnut marjolaine. I look forward to returning and trying a whole new batch of dishes.

The Nancy Cakes are worth the hype, piping hot with that whipped butter and smoked trout roe combo that somehow just works. We also had the dumplings and the double cheeseburger on the English muffin, both excellent. The burger especially punches way above what you'd expect from a bistro. The vibe is perfect. Dark, relaxed, no pretension, and still feel like you're having a great night out. Michelin Bib Gourmand for a reason. This is one of the best restaurants in Houston, full stop. Just make a reservation, the place fills up fast.

Grilled snapper-$35 and the silver lining- $15. My last meal request. The best combo I've had in 2025. Perfect portion size.

First and last trip, I don't like the idea of no unpaid parking anywhere near by. I ordered the Marvin Zendler minus the Onion rings My son the Hot Bastard with fry's and Rings. Due to parking situation, ordered to go. I hope it's as good when I get home as it might be eating in. I love the mixed crowd. I don't come downtown often and reminded why. Cooked to order so a bit of a wait. Server Bar tender was friendly and said they offer a Military discount. Parking kills it for me. Many may say the Burger is small, for me cut in half was enough to fill me up on half.

They have fun burger options, however we were quite disappointed in the quality and lack of flavor. Marvin Zindler: 6.8/10 The meat was dry and overcooked so when you bite into it, it crumbles. It needed more sauce. Inspector Clouseau: 5/10 The burger was sitting in French onion sauce which made the bun soggy. Very messy and hard to eat with your hands, had to end up eating with a knife and fork. We ordered side of fries with each burger, and opted to upgrade one to chili cheese fries. When the food was brought out, we had a side fries and a whole, large order of the Cheese Fries Surprise. However we saw a customer behind us with a small order of the cheese fries surprise. I just felt our server should have clarified the size with us. So be aware when "upgrading" your side fries. Overall, this burger joint was a let down and not for us.

It always has such a fun atmosphere, and you will likely hear me singing along with the rest of the bar patrons. It's become my go-to place for a cheeky drink after an Astros game, and their dirty martini is the best in town. The bartenders are always welcoming, and it's the perfect place to unwind. My go to recommendation: A dirty martini, blue cheese olives. It's always served skating, which is pure perfection.

Let's start with the positives: The 6oz Japanese A5 Wagyu filet mignon was hands down the best steak I have ever had. It was cooked to the perfect temperature and truly melted in my mouth. We also appreciated that they offer a kids' menu; my children were very happy with their chicken tenders and fries. As for the sides, we ordered the potatoes au gratin and sautéed spinach which were just okay. The negatives: We ordered a crab cake to start with. While the crab cake was good, I did unfortunately find a small shell in it. The biggest disappointment was the dessert course. The Baked Alaska had a very strong, bitter gasoline taste - it seemed like the alcohol didn't burn off properly. Additionally, the chocolate-filled donuts were undercooked and raw in the center, making them completely inedible. To their credit, we alerted our waitress, and they did remove the donuts from our bill. Lastly, the pacing of the meal was quite slow. We were there for about 3 hours, which became difficult with the kids getting restless. I'd love to come back specifically for the Wagyu, but I hope they can tighten up the kitchen execution and service speed in the future.

Upon arrival, I was told that I could not sit at the sushi bar and eat. If I wanted to order I had to go sit in the common area of this dining hall. After this discussion, I said fine and asked for a menu. They then told me I had to get up and order at the register and view the menu glued to the counter. They took the order of a couple who sat down maybe 2 minutes before me in front of me. I will never come back to this place. They seem to be the last man standing in this dining hall, and with this kind of customer service, they won't last much longer. It's a shame because I love the food and I am a regular at handies and aiko as well. Won't be back to any of them.

Underground Hall, like its name suggests, is a subterranean food hall in downton Houston. They have a burger stall, a taco stall, a chicken stall, an Asian BBQ fusion stall, an icea cream stall, dessert stall upstairs, and a full bar. I ordered Birria Tacos, while also sampling hot chicken mac n cheese fries, and brisket eggrolls thanks to what everyone else ordered. Everything was delicious. The bar offers $1 champagne shots and has a solid happy hour outside of their already pretty good regular prices. My only negative was the bathrooms. Tons of graffiti, smell, and in general needed some serious clean up love, but it didn't ruin the overall visit. Just a heads up. If you or your group can't decide on where to go, go everywhere at the Underground Hall!
