    Crab Samosas
    Dee D.

I've been to travelers cart several times. I've actually only visited traveler's table for cocktails and to go food. I actually did an in person visit this time for dinner on Sunday. Just a note they close at 2:30 and reopen again at five for dinner service...some of the brunch items like the crab samosas and the oxtail empanadas are on both menus (dinner and brunch) The crab samosas are amazing. I wish I had more even at this moment. Everyone is always so welcoming and helpful here....Everyone but the rude ass valet drivers outside. I mentioned to my dining mate who arrived before me how rude the guys were. He told me that he got into it with them also and another person almost got into a fight with them Having a nasty attitude and expecting a tip for a free service is crazy to me. So it's wasn't just me they just have attitude. They also had attitude when I went before for drinks.

Complementary valet parking is nice, the lot is small so if everyone had to park themselves it would be hard. Good sized eating area, with a small bar section maybe 8-10 people. The drink and food menu has a alot of selections. Started with the come and take it cocktail and espresso martini. The come and take it was nice cause it wasn't harsh but a little sweet. The espresso was a lighter version more of a flavored coffee than a strong coffee taste. We got the butter chicken, crab fried rice and the ribs. The butter chicken was bomb I heard and the ribs were flavorful and moist. The crab fried rice was a huge portion, soft shell crab was fried perfect and the egg topped was a nice touch. The old fashioned try is legit, pretty much get 3 full old fashioned for the price of 2. Overall wish we tried some apps but definitely somewhere I would go back.

Still amazing food - valet available but street parking if you don't mind waking a few blocks. Nice open patio that is covered which was helpful during the rain tonight. Music was fine and not too loud. Helpful waitstaff. Pluses 1. Good drinks (spiced trader, Oaxaca chocolate, expresso martini) and good food like short rib and adobo snapper 2. Bread pudding Areas to improve None Short rib was good quality and quantity and very rich flavor that accompanied well with polenta and heirloom carrots. Weather was cool and we had the patio to ourselves this Sunday evening. Highly recommended!

    Lamb Shakshuka (tofu substitute)

I love the whole thing of travelers's table. I've been there twice now and it never disappoints. It's a great spot for brunch. The party I was with was vegetarian, and we split the meals together. We ordered lamb shaksuka and substituted the lamb with tofu. It was super flavorful and served with bread. Inside the shaksuka, there was a boiled egg, crumbed cheese, and cherry tomatoes topped with parsley. For those of you who have never tried this, think of a flavorful tomato soup, that you split over bread. We had also ordered the Ube pancakes, and the Ube pancakes were really famous for this location. I feel like I see online all the time showcasing these pancakes. There was a citrus, whipped cream, with fruit, Boba pearls and a caramel sauce drizzle. My only complaint about the pancakes were that they were dry without the drizzle. I wish that there was more moisture inside, overall the flavors were really balanced. They offer many drinks - alcoholic, mocktails as well as lattes. There's a versatile drink menu. Service was fast, and our waitress consistently checked up on us. The interior of the restaurant was also very fun and modern with glass panels for natural lighting. I would recommend you make a reservation online on the weekend because it gets very packed. When you pull up on the street, the lot is very small. There is valet parking offered, but remember to carry some cash with you. The valet is very friendly, and they handle everything pretty fast in the parking lot. But, if you don't want to use valet, there are more locations for street parking in the Westheimer neighborhoods. I parked around a four minute walk away in one of the neighborhoods behind the restaurant.

My husband and I were so excited for our date night so we could experience TT. It was an amazing experience. We loved the concept of trying different cuisines from all over the world. We tried a little of everything starting with he crab samosas, and crispy pork belly. I will have to say the crab samosas were our least favorite despite it being their top seller. We didn't really care for the curry aspect, it over powered the crab. Our favorite was the crispy pork belly! We tried the Suya, red snapper, Mexican chocolate cake. Everything was delicious! The service was amazing. We will definitely be back!

It was a decent experience for a dear friend's birthday. 4 of us dined on the patio. The service was pretty good but not great. My water was never refilled but he did bring out food quickly. We ordered the provoletta cheese appetizer which was tasty. Imagine melted provolone cheese with peppers and a dollop of pesto. It was served with toasted bread. I'd get it again. The hummus with brisket. The hummus was good and the brisket was good. It was a good shareable appetizer. The snapper ponchatrain was delicious. I wish it was a larger potion of fish. I would order this again. The blue crab carbonara was delicious and decadent with si egg yolk mixed in. I would get this again too. The truffles flatbread was meh. I didn't care for it. They brought 3 scoops of dessert for my friend's birthday. Ube, vanilla, and matcha. It was ok. The bread pudding that we ordered was very sweet but tasty. Overall a 3.5 star experience but rounded to 4. Please see my pics and like my review and photos if you find them helpful.

    Come and take it

My husband and I came here for a much-needed date night. We've been to their sister restaurant a few times before and is our first time here at their upscale one. We had a wonderful waiter and gave us a lot of recommendation. But the treatment kind of fell off towards the end when he was held up by a huge party for a good while to the point where we changed our mind about desserts and after dinner drinks and had to go. The cocktail "come and take it" was balance and flavorful. The crab samosa is a hit. It is crammed with crab stuffing. It is amazing and you get two different kind of dipping sauce with it, Tartar and butter. This was the first that any restaurant has ever done for us, but they actually split our soup in half for us so what's pictured is the half the soup. The duck pad Thai was amazing!!! I wish I had that instead. I had the Caribbean braised oxtail. I wasn't a big fan. I felt like I was tasting more of the sauce and carbs. I asked for the mango and spices on the side. The mango was a nice plate cleanser in between bites. The ambience was really nice , definitely upscale compared to their Travis's Carr location and something that you should dress up for. This is good for a nice formal celebration dinner or date dates. Or fancy Bestie night. There is complementary valet at the front. They have a sign that says do not park across the street.

This place is definitely a must try if you can. The restaurant and staff are very nice. I had an upcoming flight so I brought my luggage and they were able to hold on to it for me while I enjoyed my meal. Their menu has a good amount options to pick from. Salmon Tartare bites were great. The mix was subtle yet you can taste everything as well and a nice crunch from the rice. Soft shell crab fried rice. First the presentation was amazing having little crabs on the plate. It tasted great. A lot of crab flavor in this dish from the chips and the rice and the small fried crabs. The small fried crabs were very salty though.

Gonna start off with the one single solitary bad, and then move on to all the good. Bad - valet was kinda rude. I wasn't aware it was only valet parking in their parking lot so I pulled in and parked. A few minutes passed and a guy walked over and knocked on my window and told me this was valet only. So I asked him "ok so if you don't wanna do valet where do you park". Guy couldn't have cared less and said "I don't know the street?" I just found his demeanor off putting and rude. He needs to work on his talking skills to people. Anyway.... beyond that - my husband and I are from Austin but we're visiting the area because we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and decided here as the place to eat. We are both vegetarian and they have adequate veg options. I started with the watermelon lemonade and then eventually got a jasmine tea. We got the corn soup and the grilled bread and cheese plate as an appetizer (apologies I don't remember the exact name off the top of my head). For our entrees, both my husband and I got a Latin America dish. It was a pepper with cashew cream and quinoa, a chimichurrin sauce, etc. it was FANTASTIC. They don't skimp on the veg plates and I really appreciate that! Especially when a place isn't entirely only plant based focused. This place really take pride in their food and it shows. I watched a chef plate a meal (from my seat, I could see the kitchen) and he was so locked in and meticulous about it. We were checked up on constantly, our waters never ran out, and our waitress was so cool and down to earth. We tipped her well. At the end, our waitress brought us out two complimentary champagne flutes as a congratulations for our wedding anniversary. It was unexpected but so sweet! We really enjoyed it. We both left this place happy and very full. Def worth a visit if you're in the area!!

Natural light and plenty of plants makes the place feel warm and cozy.

It starts with the unique "ski lodge" type of architecture on the outside, and tasteful travel inspired decor on the inside. Service was great, and you could tell the servers enjoy working there. The food is also travel inspired, and there really is something for everyone on the menu. I believe this would be a great place to bring a group, and everyone could order plates from "around the world" and share the choices. We did brunch, and the drinks were complex and unique flavors, and my meal was jerk chicken and waffles, which I have never seen that particular combo anywhere else but here. The waffles were light and fluffy, the butter had a welcome hint of sweet, and the jerk chicken was spicy, but in a warm spicy way, and not a painful hot way. Would definitely recommend this place to friends.

    Mochiko Chicken
    Fiona L.

I was very excited to try Travelers Table, however it left much to be desired. My friends and I ordered a few small plates, we had mochiko chicken, salmon tartare bites, Singaporean soft shell chilli crab, and crispy pork belly. I found the mochiko chicken to be too salty, the soft shell crab had no taste but the sauce itself dipped with some bread made it slightly worth, the crispy pork belly was forgettable, I actually don't remember being wowed by it, the best thing was probably the salmon tartare bites but I found them to be a bit too ginger forward. We then moved onto the desserts, we got the basque burnt cheesecake and passion fruit mango mousse (sorry forgot to snap a pic before my friend dug). First of all the basque cheesecake was not even burnt, I would call it more of a creme brûlée cheesecake, the top was slightly caramelized and topped with some kind of passion fruit or mango puree. The passion fruit mango mousse was on the lighter side, a bit too tart for me. While the food was subpar, the service was impeccable. Everyone was so attentive, and checked up on us every chance they got, we never had to flag down someone and our water was always filled, plus they were super friendly! Overall we loved the vibe at Travelers Table, the service was great, just wished the flavors were better. We also appreciate the valet service which was mandatory but also complimentary.

Travels Table absolutely delivered an incredible dining experience from start to finish. Aiden was our server, and he was phenomenal, attentive, knowledgeable, warm, and on point the entire time. He made great recommendations and ensured everything came out perfectly timed. I ordered the Louisiana fried chicken, and wow crispy on the outside, juicy and packed with bold Southern flavor on the inside. The seasoning was spot on and the crunch was everything you want in fried chicken. My wife had the crawfish and grits, which were rich, creamy, and loaded with flavor. The crawfish was fresh and tender, and the grits were smooth and comforting without feeling too heavy. We also split the Japanese mushroom toast with shiitake peppers and smoked salmonand this dish was next level. The earthy mushrooms, subtle heat from the peppers, and smoky salmon created an incredible balance of flavors. Creative, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Between the amazing food, inviting atmosphere, and Aiden's top-tier service, Travels Table is definitely a must visit. We'll absolutely be back.

There's complimentary valet but it can get busy. Highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time. The service was great and the menu had a nice range of options. It's family friendly but not too loud or hectic and the server gave great recommendations. Kept it simple w/ a breakfast plate. Wasn't a fan of the sausage but everything else was tasty and it was a good portion. Def will come back and Try more

Is it good for ladies lunch?

    ABSOLUTELY!!!

Is this restaurant/establishment allow dogs on a leash?

They have an outside seating area! I saw a couple with a dog last time.

Sitting at the bar for dinner?

Yes you can eat at the bar.

    What is the noise level?

Fairly quiet. We were able to hear conversations at nearby tables ( unfortunately).

Was this the place that was featured on DDD?

Yes. Worth a try. Nice craft cocktails.

Do you need to make a reservation for brunch?

Walk-ins are available, however for brunch this place is typically crowded. Sitting at the bar is always an open seating option.

How is parking at this restaurant?

    There is complementary valet

Is this a kid friendly restaurant?

I went for brunch on a Saturday. I can't say I recall seeing children but I don't think you're not allowed to bring them. Just more of an adults environment.

What is the dress in this restaurant? Is there a full bar? Do we need reservations?

I would say nice casual. There is a bar, about 8 seats (unsure if you can order food). Reservations are highly recommended - especially for the weekends.

If you had to choose between brunch or dinner, which would you choose? (Both isn't an option for now)

Have only eaten dinner but the brunch menu also look awesome!

    Do they have happy hour?

    No Happy Hour :(

    It is not

I mean no one is going to stop you but I wouldn't consider this a kid friendly restaurant.

Is it good for big groups?

They're super accommodating so call and ask them and they'll advise you. I think 20 or so should be fine.

    What is the suggested dress?

I think smart casual is appropriate here!

Is the outdoor patio dog friendly?

Yes, page says dogs are welcome

Our server Ray was really kind and explained the menu concept to us and was so helpful in pointing out some delicious orders. We decided on several happy hour offerings - the chicken and beef empanadas, croquetas de patatas, bombas de queso, toasta de lengua, and a full order of the raba de toro (oxtail). For drinks I had the happy hour house sangria and piña loca. The sangria came out first and was so refreshing and with such a lovely aroma and spice. The piña loca was more of a miss for me - it tasted a bit like pineapple candy and was overly sweet. We had all our happy hour appetizers next. I was a bit surprised at how small the portion sizes are - keep in mind that the happy hour orders are half of the tapas plates, which are already small and designed for sampling. We split the empanadas and I adored the beef cheek empanada - the meat was seasoned so nicely and was deliciously soft. I also really liked the flavoring of the toasta de lengua. The croquetas and bombas had a lovely crunch to them. The oxtail came out next and the meat really was coming off the bone - so deliciously soft and well seasoned. It came with a side of bread and dipping oil that was a fantastic complement. We were amazed at how fast the service was. The staff were quick to fill up our waters and Ray checked on us the whole time we were there and took trouble to make sure we had a great experience. It's quite spacious with both an indoor area and relaxed outdoor patio. Overall this was a really tasty restaurant and I'm glad we got to try it. I would just keep in mind on your visit that it is on the pricey side, though the happy hour lets you get a nice sampling of their extensive menu. Till next time!

Every staff member we came across was so friendly, especially our server. The menu here changes. There are some mainstays, but they like to change things up. Their website shows current menus daily. We were told that family style is the best way to experience this restaurant. I am one of those people that will always listen to the staff and go with their suggestions. Our group went through quite a bit of their menu from apps, entrees and desserts. I loved that our server and staff brought our food out one by one in what they thought was the best progression so we could take a culinary journey. We started off light with their popular Dilly Bread. Best bread I've had in awhile. Next was the Texas Tartare. It was my first ever tartare and it was delicious. We then moved on to Fingerlingin Good which was a crispy potato dish with chili crisp and mascarpone. It was potatoes elevated to the highest level and so so good. Next up was Beer Battered Sweet Tots. I didn't think sweet potatoes could be that good. Our first entree was a vegan dish called the Carroty Kid. I could seriously become a vegan if all dishes tasted like this. It was curried. A bowl of jasmine rice would've made it a complete meal. Next we tried another famous Nobie's dish called Nonno's Pasta. Handmade, perfectly cooked tagliatelle with a delicious bolognese. I wouldn't share this next time. Ok, I will, but it was that good. On to the heavier dishes. First up was the Jamon With Your Bad Self. This came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. It was favorite heavy entree. It was high quality, iberico pork steak with shaved brussels and all kinds of other tasty ingredients that when combined made such a tasty bite. We then went to the sea with the Drops of Grouperter. It was good, but not something I would order again. It was a little too smoky for my liking. Our biggest dish that came market priced was the Kick His Ass Seabass. This was a whole fish that was presented beautifully on a platter with all the accouterments to make your own elevated fish tacos. We left no morsel of fish behind. It was absolutely delicious. One of the things this place is really known for is their pies. This was the part I was most excited about. Just like their menu, their pies change up. We got all their offerings that night which they presented on one big platter of goodness. Their main stay and I believe always on the menu is the famous Olive Oil Cake. It's not a pie, but I can see why this is such a popular dessert. I can't even describe it, you just have to try it to understand. The pies we had were the Black Bottom Strawberry Pie, Banana Rum, and the Peanut Butter Pie. I would order all of them again. We all had a difference of opinion on which was the best, but my fave was the Banana Rum. Overall, I was highly impressed with this place and kind of mad at myself for waiting so long to make it here. It had made it's way to the top of my list of favorite restaurants in Houston. I will be back.

The first were "natural" and nicely briny. The 2nd was pure genius: they said it would taste like a Big Mac, and they were spot on. Amazing! Steak Tartare - the steak and deviled egg mixture were satisfyingly velvety and the accompanying bread was buttery, chewy, and addictive; Puff Puff Pass - unique textures: crispy, chewy, smooth elements are married beautifully. Nonno's Pasta - this dish was my least favorite. I found the flavors to be too cheese forward with not enough acid; Jamon With Your Bad Self - while not much to look at, this dish was outstanding. The pork's texture was simply magical, and the flavors well-balanced. On the side, we had the Fingerlingin Good potatoes, and they lived up to their name: pleasantly crispy and bursting with savory goodness. Desserts: the Olive Oil Cake was a dream: incredibly moist and tender with vanilla richness and a kiss of lemon. The Black Bottom Pie was not my favorite. I would the salt to be too much and couldn't eat more than 2 bites because of it. Service: warm, gracious, attentive, and efficient. As for ambiance, this is where the restaurant misses the mark for me. It's in an old house, and when we walked in, that's exactly what I smelled: old house. Still, if you're looking for a unique, creative menu that delivers on flavors, add nobie's to your bingo card.

Welcoming, accommodating, and attentive to every detail. From the moment we arrived at the host stand, we felt like a priority. I also inquired about hosting a future event, and the event manager was incredibly helpful, clearly explaining all the different options and layouts they offer. To top it off, the servers and their assistants that provided seamless, high-level service throughout the entire night. If you are looking for a venue that combines professional event coordination with a warm, high-energy atmosphere and good food, this is it!

All times have been made with reservations as well, however their weekend brunch doesn't seem to be packed. Could definitely just walk in without a reservation. MAD is a solid tapas place, however after coming back from a trip to Spain, I realize the difference of taste and price. I've tried half of the appetizers listed on their current menu. I feel like I've tried other things that are no longer on the menu. I'd definitely recommend the croquetas (3 pcs of creamy goodness) and jamón ibérico (good, but overpriced imo). The pulpo just doesn't taste as good as it does in Spain obviously. Paella Valencia - should try if you've never had paella. Chicken thighs were cooked just right. Pato & apricot - duck recommended to be cooked medium rare. The duck was delicious, but the way the rice was prepared wasn't as good as the paella Valencia. Cochinillo ibérico - more worth it to order this than the appetizer. Scalloped potatoes and scrambled eggs make it a true brunch dish. Basque cheesecake - would recommend this as dessert of choice. It was delicious, light, and fluffy. Spanish churros - nothing like in Spain. They're super thin and definitely too oily. The chocolate ganache dipping sauce was also too oily for my liking. Love the aesthetic of the restaurant. The bathroom must also be seen as well. Definitely a place you can celebrate something special. Good for a date, group of friends or family. I can imagine how it would look at night, probably busy. Definitely want to try their dinner sometime. Park in the parking garage next to the restaurant. It was free every time I've been. :)

The atmosphere gives you a nice cozy feel of a "street food market" place. I thought this place had unique items on the menu. I tried the chicken pad Thai and it had a lot of flavor and was a good portion. I also tried the pandebona, which reminded me of a mochi donut. It was chewy and had cheese inside but the texture was soft. For the dessert portion I tried the sticky rice which honestly could've been better. I didn't get the authentic sweet coconut richness from it. I had the chewy texture but the flavor seemed more so thrown on top instead of an infused flavor. The last item I tried was the fish and chips. The fries were nice and crispy and the fish had a nice crunchy batter layer on the outside. It was good. The tried a few drinks and they were ok the pandan old fashion was unique and strong but honestly not for my taste. If you like old fashions this drink would probably be for you. I also tried the fast boat to Havana and that one was sweet and tasty (more for my palate). The service was ok I mean there wasn't any other people except for one other couple so I wouldn't expect anything less.

I went because this was the only bar open during Labor Day when I had guest visiting. So I would say it's a pretty nice location, considering the fact that it is always consistently open. They had a good menu with different cocktails that were fun and fruity. Otherwise, I did also see people could order coffee at the bar and have different espresso drinks. It looks like the drink that I ordered is also no longer on the menu. The bar prides itself on having a rotating meal changing menu so I think that's a lot of fun when it comes to trying new drinks and new combinations and it truly shows the artistry of the bartender. There was the option of both indoor and outdoor seating. The interior was more of a dimmer, elegant and darker tone. I can see it being pretty classic if you were to go at night time. The bar set up was really beautiful and they had different 2 to 4 seating wooden tables. Overall, the inside would probably only fit around 20 people. I was very sad because we couldn't sit outside. The day before it had rained so every outdoor seating was wet. But I was told that they had a beautiful seating outside with a garden and a pool. Service was good. The bartender came out of the bar to take orders, give menus and give you the check. I will say that it got really busy at the end and it took a while to get our check. There's only one or two bartenders working at one time so if there's multiple people with different drinks that are ordered, it will take a little bit longer. There is both valet parking and also street parking in the neighborhood nearby.

Not hard to find, it's located to the right as you walk in. What brought us here is that it's listed as one of the top 50 bars in Houston in Houstonia Magazine. Service (3/5): While we had a waitress, she was slow to greet us and slow to check up on us. It's a small bar and there isn't a ton of seating so it's not like she was overwhelmed. For a fancy hotel, you expect better. Maybe sitting at the bar is better than sitting at some seats as we did. Ambiance (4/5): The Colombe d'Or is a beautiful hotel and Bar No. 3 reflects that. It's an elegant spot to grab a drink, although small. Food (N/A): While there are expensive items on the menu, I had dinner earlier that night so I was on a liquid diet. Drinks (3/5): Bar No. 3 is known for its cocktails so I focused on the cocktail list. The list isn't large but it features a nice selection. Like the food, you're going to pay a premium. I enjoyed my adult beverage but felt like it was a bit overpriced. Hitting up hotel bars isn't a common occurrence in Houston unless you're a traveler. For Bar No. 3 to be the only hotel bar on Houstonia's top 50 is a feat in itself.
