Great street tacos! The marinated pork was delicious - so flavorful without heat. I also got steak, but it had an almost "fake" steak aftertaste. Not terrible, but no where close to the pork. I finally found a great Mexican place in town. You can custom make your burrito, taco, nacho etc with a nice variety of meats and sauces. I had tacos al pastor with corn tortillas and and a pork tamales. The tacos were very flavorful and loaded. It stands up to well to tacos I've had in the southwest. The tamale I had was very fresh. Often places make them dry or compact but this was made almost perfectly. It could have used just a little more meat but it was seasoned just right. I can't wait to come back. Bon apetit! read more

This is a simple place and I love that. Counter-service concept with good options. The tacos and salsas are great, and they have ample vegetarian options. Above all the staff and owners are very nice and quite helpful. They may suffer from a location that is not highly visible, but it's in a great spot and very accessible. Really good food hiding in a strip mall just off the main road. I came because of the vegetarian option: papas con (vegetarian) chorizo. I had a burrito with this. I tasted the potatoes more than the chorizo, but with the salsa and guac, it's forgivable. They've got a variety of traditional aguas frescas, I had a 20oz cup of horchata. This brought my total to $9.99 before taxes. No real complaints. It's an independent approach to fast casual burritos & tacos á la chipotle. My coworker kept talking about this taco place and I finally went today. My tastebuds are glad I did but my waistline will not be....because I want to keep eating there now lol I had three soft corn tacos with different meat fillings. I tried the barbacoa, carnitas, and picadillio. These are traditional namea for the meats but its really pulled pork, shredded beef and ground meat/potato. My fav one was the carnitas. No its not chunks of pork like regular carnitas but it was still good and id actually rather have the shredded pork vs fatty carnitas. They were very generous with their meat portions and have good toppings to go on them. I had pico, cheese, and an avocada/jalapeno sauce. Also, they had tamales today! Yes real deal tamales and i havent had one since I lived in New Mexico and they were some of the best ive ever had as their masa was perfect and they had a lot of pork/green chile filling. I also has strawberry lime aqua fresca and it was really good. All of that for less than 10 dollars! Im happy that I went here. This is going to be one of my regular lunch spots now! read more

I was hoping to have the same experience as the previous customers, but unfortunately, the food left much to be desired. My wife got me three flour tacos at 5pm on weekday [dinner rush]: chicken, Pastor, and chopped beef. Their tortillas are good, and the chopped beef was good (tastes just like Manwich- in a good way), but the mouth feel was chewy. Pastor was seasoned really well (reminded me of Steak-n Shake Chili- good.), but it was salty and chewy. The chicken was extremely salty, and chewy, and three people confirmed it tasted like teriyaki. Another bummer was their chips and salsa. The chips were very oily, and salt would not stick to them, so it was hard to eat the salsa. The salsa was too hot for me anyway (and I usually enjoy hot stuff). Not everything was bad. The tortillas seemed fresh, and the guacamole, and pico de gallo were tasty. I'll give them another chance to earn my business. Everyone deserves a second chance. read more

They will let you try just about anything before you make a decision. First time there tonight. What a pleasant surprise! Everything was explained to us, and we were given tastes to make sure we would be happy with our choices. Oh, we were happy. The burritos are fantastic, and you can build your food, adding just what you want. I had the steamed beef in a burrito, and it was so packed with goodness, I could only eat half. Can't wait for lunch tomorrow! Plenty of choices for fillings. Next time, I'm trying the nacho's. I saw them making one for a customer, and almost drooled. It looked delicious. The chips were warm and crunchy. The salsa's (there are a few to choose from) were delicious. I saw plenty of choices for drinks. My husband got the watermelon water. I stuck to the diet Coke. There are no sugar options, so it shouldn't be a problem to find something there. One of the cleanest places I've eaten in. I commend them for their friendliness, as I've felt less than welcome in many places. This crew knows how to run a joint. I can't wait to go back for another meal. We need to get behind this place. Tried this for the 1st time a few weeks ago. The meats have a fair amount of seasoning (not enough for my taste's however). The meat is stored in these Mexican crock's on a steam table behind glass. In my opinion the meat really makes a Taco or any Mexican food & the meat here is soggy/waterlogged. I tried the El Pastor Pork Taco's (I can't find good El Pastor outside of CA) as well as the Barbacoa/beef. My dining partner got a variety of each beef available on the steam table. They use the white Queso Fresco which is good but I do prefer the tex-mex style of Cheddar cheese. The staff were very friendly & did offer samples of the meats before ordering. This place is better than Qdoba, Chipotle or Taco Bell & it's reasonably priced about $10-15 per person depending on what you order. The highlight here though is the selection of drinks, they offered Horchata, Hibiscus drink, Strawberry Limemade & our personal favorite Sandia/Watermelon drink $2-4 depending on which size you order. I noticed this place is owned by the same people who own Tequila's & used to run Durrango in Swansea on 159. I am still seeking to find CA style fresh mexican & the closest place for good tacos is Taco Circus in STL. read more
