I'm not Mexican, but I like to think that this is place is serving up some pretty authentic Mexican food! My boyfriend and I visited here recently for an early dinner, and we were the only Caucasians in the entire establishment. Every other customer was Hispanic and speaking Spanish. To me, that's a huge win! So about the food: first, the tacos are $2. YES. Second, they're not loaded with fancy toppings. You choose your meat, and it gets topped with onion and tons cilantro. DOUBLE YES. The chorizo was my personal favorite. The Al Pastor was good too. Unfortunately, my steak taco was chewy and loaded with rubbery fat. Our server was very nice. My biggest problem with this place is that it seemed dirty. You can tell its an older building, and it looks a little run down and now very clean. Very authentic food... I had steak chilequilles ... BF had a steak torta (sandwich). No problem with my service dog. Very reasonably priced... about $20 for two. This place has awesome lengua, great carne asada, and the worst chicken I've ever had. I think the chicken is the canned type which you can find in a grocery store next to canned tuna. It's a very hit or miss place. Sometimes the tacos are perfect and warm, and sometimes they are stale and they fall apart in your hand. Sometimes the beans are filling, and sometimes they're a watery soup. I think they change the salsa they use, too, as sometimes it tastes delicious, and other days it's just salt and tomato sauce. If you're feeling adventurous, then this place sometimes has Mexican food that will knock your socks off. But sometimes you'll end up with dry tacos, chicken from a can, and watered down frijoles. read more

So I had moved from California to Kentucky. I had been on a search for authentic yummy Mexican food. I had heard a lot of great reviews on this place so my boyfriend and I gave this place a try on Monday. We called right when they opened, ordered and was told it would be ready in 10 mins. We headed there, excited to try this place out. When my boyfriend came in to pay we were told our bill was $30. I have never paid that much for Mexican food. We were told they changed their prices due to the shortages of meat so their online prices weren't accurate. It would be nice if they would let their customers know that their prices went up. On top of that, they had trouble with their card reader which took almost forever to get fixed. They needed receipt paper for the card reader to work. My boyfriend had to try and look for an ATM nearby just to pull out cash to then be told the person with the receipt paper finally came but we had been on the freeway already. The customer service was alright, the older lady was very nice, helpful and kept apologizing for the delays. The taller cashier on the other hand was very rude, because we didn't get a receipt copy for ourselves she rudely said "you can just take a picture with your phone". Lol, my boyfriend didn't have his phone on him because he thought it would've been a quick transaction. We had no idea there would be such delays with your card reader. You may have to teach her customer service because she doesn't have that. The food? It was OK. Mind you, we ordered at 11. Got there around 11:15 we don't live far at all. By the time we got home it was 12, the food was somewhat warm but the tortillas were soggy. The Al pastor was decent but the chicharrones tacos were just soo soggy. Because we waited so long the sauces broke everything down. Very disappointed because this place has great reviews but we'll be on the hunt for authentic Mexican food elsewhere. read more

Everything about our experience there was authentic and we loved it!! We dined in. They provided us hot chips and house made salsa. Fresh and flavorful. I ordered the barbecoa burrito and my husband got the chicken tacos and chicken burrito. The portions are large. I ate half my burrito and he consumed all of his.
