Food was solid!! I got some cheesy tacos with the Al Pastor meat. My boyfriend got a quesadilla with beef. Mmhm. Sooo good!!! I got one taco with just the chicken, and it was shredded chicken with no seasoning, a little plain. Highly recommend the Al pastor meat. Prices were a little high for their plates, but the tacos were fair. Service was great, super nice people and food came out fast. The ambience reminds me of Mexico :) Their spicy salsas are actually spicy. Be aware!

Every time I have come here the food no matter what I've gotten, tacos, burritos, meals. They're all fantastic. This is probably the only place I have encountered that is actually authentic and as good as what I have had closer to the border. The service is great and prices are fair. The food is always delicious. The interior is comfortable and plenty of room for families.

Authentic and delicious They have a large menu of options. I chose the quesadilla combo. They have a salsa bar to add toppings your food. Rice and beans were fresh. They also have flavored water drinks. Nice little sit down area and food comes out quick.

So lame to post a pic of empty plates but the food was so good we couldn't wait

Omg. Eat this food. It's hands down one of the best restaurants I've been to in years. So flavorful and the service was super fast. AND the bathroom is CLEAN! We were driving through Aberdeen on our way to Ocean Shores and will definitely make this one of our stops every year we come this way. We got the shrimp tacos, fish tacos, chile rellenos and had a special request to make a shrimp tostada. Everything was super fresh. Fyi the rice is made with chicken broth, if that matters to you. The beans are vegetarian. There is a silver cooler near the register with salsas. The orange is my fave followed by the green. Try them all. We also got one each of the aguas frescos-watermelon, cucumber and horchata- all were very tasty. Omg I'm so jealous you'll come here before I do. Have the best meal ever!

Came in later in the night for some tacos but ended up getting a super quesadilla and a cucumber horchata as well. I love the green creamy sauce on everything. The horchata is always yummy here, never overly gritty or watered down. The workers are always kind as well. This is my favorite Mexican food restaurant in town.

Everything is good but the tripas are the best I have had north of California. Best Mexican food on the harbor hands down.

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5…read moreAmbiance: 4.5/5 For the food, we had the quesobirria tacos, a slew of papusas, carne asada tacos, and an adobada taco. The best bite, the quesobirria tacos, BY FAR. My daughter said it was "the best birria I've had in a long time." The meat was tender and (not to sound too cliche) the consommé was packed with flavor. The papusas the chicken and cheese was the best one, followed by the jalepeno and cheese, the rest were not bad, just nothing to write home about. As far as the tacos go, the carne asada was fine, the adobada had great flavor and a decent char on it. This made for a great post-crab fishing meal and will likely come back next time we're in town. Oh! This place is on the pricier side, just so there's no sticker shock. The service was decent, but I'm pretty sure our papusas were dished up wrong, but such is life when they all look the same, the inside of the restaurant is all of we the place but super clean.

The food here has generally been okay, and sometimes even good, but today was by far the worst…read moreservice we have experienced. My wife ordered four pupusas and two servings of curtido before I arrived. When I came in, I simply wanted to ask if our order had already been started because, if it hadn't, I was considering making a small change. Before I could even explain what I was asking, I was abruptly interrupted and told, "You can't change orders." Had someone simply explained that the food was already being prepared, I would have completely understood. Instead, the interaction felt rude and dismissive, as if there was no interest in even listening to the customer. Later, while we were seated, I asked if we could have an additional curtido. I was told there would be an extra charge. What surprised me was not the charge itself, but the attitude surrounding the conversation. After the earlier interaction, it felt as though we were not being welcomed as customers. I even pointed out that if I had ordered the pupusas separately, additional curtido would have come with those orders anyway, making the charge seem unnecessary and inconsistent. My family and I have eaten here two, three, and sometimes four times a month. This is not the first time we have experienced poor service, but we overlooked it because we wanted to continue supporting the business. Unfortunately, today's experience was the final straw. What made the situation even worse was that I asked to speak with someone about my concerns. More than 15 minutes passed, and no one came out to speak with me. In fact, I am writing this review while still waiting. What was especially frustrating was that the restaurant was not busy at the time. There were plenty of empty tables and open seating areas, so it did not appear that staff were overwhelmed or unable to respond. A simple conversation, explanation, or apology would have gone a long way. At that point, the issue was no longer about an extra serving of curtido or any additional charge. It was about customer service, communication, and basic respect for customers. We felt ignored and unappreciated despite being regular patrons. Food is only part of the dining experience. Service matters just as much. Customers can overlook mistakes, but they remember how they are treated. I sincerely hope management takes customer service seriously because it is one of the most important parts of running a successful restaurant. We always tip over the customary amount. Not today! Sadly, after today's experience, this will most likely be our last visit.

We came in with friends as a party of eight. The menu states that parties of eight or more receive an automatic 20% gratuity. Fair enough -- I completely expect that with a larger group. What I don't understand is adding another 1.5% "service charge" because of the increased cost of doing business. Just raise your menu prices. I would much rather pay an honest price for my meal than have little fees added to the bill afterward. It feels cheap and completely out of place at a restaurant trying to present itself as upscale. But that isn't what really bothered me. My wife ordered from the kids menu because she simply does not eat a full-sized meal and doesn't like wasting food. The menu we were given did not state that it was restricted to children 12 and under. Instead of simply handling the request politely, our waiter called her out for ordering from the children's menu. I explained that she wasn't trying to save a few dollars -- she just didn't want to waste food. His response was essentially a snarky, "Sorry, not allowed." Seriously, who cares? If the restaurant has a policy, fine. Politely explain it. What isn't fine is making a paying customer feel embarrassed or as though she is trying to pull something over on the restaurant. That was the part that ruined the experience for me. Restaurants sometimes seem to forget that hospitality is actually part of the business. Customers aren't an inconvenience to be managed. We are the reason the doors are open in the first place. We drove all the way out to the Washington coast, were dining as a group of eight, and were perfectly prepared to spend money and leave a 20% gratuity. Instead, my wife was made to feel uncomfortable over something as ridiculous as ordering a smaller portion of food. Koko's can keep the upscale image, the automatic gratuity, the extra service fee, and the attitude. There are far too many restaurants that understand what hospitality means for me to spend my money somewhere that doesn't. I won't be back, and I certainly won't recommend Koko's to friends or family.
