After being seated right away we were completely ignored. We sat with no water, no chips, salsa, nobody saying a word to us for 15 minutes. I finally asked the girl who seated us if there was anyone to wait on our table. Her response should have been, let me find someone, instead it was I don't know and continued to ignore us and vacuum. A couple who came in 10 minutes after us were given chips, salsa, drinks and had their order taken before we walked out. Sitting 20 minutes being ignored when they weren't busy is ridiculous. Three friends and I were in the area and decided to stop for lunch at Los IV Hermanos. This is a very popular restaurant and wait times of a couple minutes to 10 minutes are not uncommon! I think the food is worth the wait though. I have been to this restaurant three times over the last few years. Every time I'm in Ocean Shores I usually stop here at least once. We had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated, not too terribly long. Once we were seated we were promptly waited on by our server and we placed our orders right away. I ordered the Fajita Burrito with chicken and an iced tea for my beverage. I enjoyed to meal very much. The burrito was filled with chicken and some rice with the usual fajita veggies. While dining on my meal and talking with my friends I noticed the dessert display card and decided I would order the cheesecake for dessert. The cheesecake was very nice! My only complaint would be that the blueberry topping was four or five shriveled berries . Unfortunately, a couple of my friends had some issues with their service. One friend's meal was supposed to include refried beans and there wasn't any. When he complained twice he was assured, both times by different staff, that they would check on his beans, neither one of those staff members ever returned. Another friend had asked for another margarita and was never served with the second margarita. I'm sure those issues were caused by the staff being run ragged by a full house, but it put a blemish on an otherwise enjoyable visit. read more

We have been to this place so many times and always loved the food, this time not so much. Cheese on my nachos was dried out so bad had no flavor and when you pulled on the cheese it just broke off. Hubby ordered the fajita with all 3 meats, there was only 2 shrimp in it and the beef and chicken were dried out and he found a mushroom in it and hes allergic to mushrooms. Are server went on her lunch break so there was just 1 server on the floor for half of are service no one came back around to see if we needed anything. Order the beef and chicken fajitas, and leave room for flan, and fried ice cream. You'll be glad you did. I would have given this place 5 stars, except the wait time for seating, was over 30 minutes. Mostly because it was full. Which is actually a good thing. Except that patience is not a strength of mine. The service, once we were seated, was good. My husband and I visit Mexico annually (Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta areas), so I do tend to judge Mexican food a little harsher than most, because we have authentic Mexican food every year. This place was really good. If you're in town, and you like Mexican food, you should dine here. Beware that it closes at 7:30pm. If you arrive before 7:30pm and your name is put on the list, they will seat you, even though it's after hours, which is great! Most places will stop taking names 15 minutes prior to closing time. Casual, family owned Mexican restaurant that serves tasty food. The carne asada and pollo asada were both marinated well and were flavorful and delicious. The carne asada was a bit chewy due to the cut of meat, so if you are looking for something more tender then go with the pollo asada. The flan was on the thicker side and still delicious, especially with the caramel sauce. The sopapillas were delicious and reminded me of funnel cake. read more

This restaurant isn't much to look at from the front, but was a pleasant spot for lunch. They have a lunch menu that I wish I had taken a picture of. It's a little less expensive than the dinner menu, but the portions appear to be the same size. Our server was nice and prompt. The food came out quickly and was accurate. We stopped in here during a very busy weekend. The staff was very overwhelmed with the amount of customers coming in but they did a great job of doing their best. The chips and salsa were on point. The margaritas were cold and delicious with a decent pour of alcohol. The price was right. The food was very good and even though there was a wait, it was worth it. Good quality ingredients and decent portions. It loses a star because it was unbelievably hot inside the restaurant with no fans or ability to open a window. It was sweltering. We were visiting some family in the area, it was getting late. We were all supposed to go out for dinner, but it was getting close to closing time so we decided to call in an order for pick up. We ordered a crap ton of food a half an hour before they closed. They easily could've had a bad attitude about it or like put in minimal effort, but they didn't. They were super friendly, they got the food together quickly as they could, when we came to pick it up they were very nice, all the food was hot and made with Care. The food was delicious. Came here with a friend. He got chicken enchiladas, and I got a special plate that was to have a portion of flank steak, 3 bacon wrapped shrimps and a chicken breast. My friend liked his enchiladas and practically licked his plate clean. On my entree, the bacon was so hard, I couldn't chew it and thought I might break a tooth, the shrimp was dried out, the chicken was split in half and dry, and the steak was ok. Store bought corn tortillas warmed up were the highlight of my meal. You can park on the left side of the building, then you get to drive in reverse to leave or take your chance to drive around the building and hit the giant pothole like us. For service, we weren't checked on or I would have sent my food back. Starving means you eat what you have. We got a dessert to share, a blueberry cheesecake, which was the second best thing I had that night and made up for the meal. Ambiance here is 1970's with booths that have been pounded. Local here in Ocean Shores. The staff and owners are definitely Hispanic. I expected more authentic food since this place was always hopping. Parking.. good luck if you have a large truck or long truck. You better bring your smaller car. There is only one way in and one way out. It can be complicated during busy times. We were greeted and seated. We ordered our meal and it came out within 10 minutes. They offer chips and salsa as an appetizer. The chips were warm. Which is great. The salsa was a bit bland and could use more spices. I ordered Carne Asada with Rice. The husband ordered the chimichanga platter. I was not impressed by the Rice and Beans. The Carne Asada was bland and tough. I have the platter to my husband to finish. Overall, it's not bad for what you get. It inspired me to make my own authentic Mexican chili Verde and Carne asada. The meal lacked Cilantro, lime, Annatto, and kicks of spice. Next time, I will just cook Mexican. It's not terrible for our tiny town. But don't have high expectations. It will do in a pinch. The last time we were in Ocean Shores was about 2 years ago when the pandemic was beginning. Only a few restaurants were open and we never got a chance to try this restaurant. We are finally back and are so glad we stopped in! For a Thursday night, it was busy! There were only a few servers (one was host/server/etc) and so the service was as good as it can get when there are only a few people manning the whole restaurant. But we got the drinks quickly (house margarita and a Corona) and the food was not too far behind. I had the Carne Asada Burrito and the hubs had the two enchilada combo with shredded beef. The food was fresh, hot and oh so good! Dessert was the deep fried ice cream and it was delicious as well. Between the two of us, one dessert was enough!! We have been going here while we are in town.Food is always good but the last time we went there, there were 4 of us and when they brought the chips and salsa to the table, there wasn't enough salsa or pico in the bowls for even one person.My wife asked about it and she was told that they would bring some more but it never arrived. Two of us asked for ice water and it came in a nice size glass.no one came by to refill them when they were empty and when we asked for more water they brought two small cups with water. This is probably one of the worst restaurants I've been into in a long while. It took forever for someone to come and take our order they took orders of people that came in long after us and continued to promise that someone was coming to get our order. The chips were stale and the salsa was pretty good. My husbands food was just bland flavorless and the chicken tasted and looked off. My husband stopped eating it and my fajitas were just okay. This is one of those restaurants that you would like to have close to your house. Wife had Carney asada dinner and I had a Combo. The combo came with a chilly relleno and a Beef enchilada with all the other stuff. The staff is very friendly. They were a little slow bring are water and drinks. But the food came out very hot. When talking to the hostess we were telling her That it would be very nice if they would open a second restaurant by my house I be there all the time.
