Extra trash tacos for cheap. Ordered the Chicken Fajita Taco & mexican rice. Where to begin? No sides no sauces no limes. The mexican rice was disgusting, wanted to finish it bcs i spent money on this but i can't it's super nasty, do not recommend. The taco had several brown spots of the avocado, mosts businesses take that off lol + the taco had little to no flavor. These tacos have been the go to breakfast taco to go spot I've been looking for here in Katy! I'm definitely going to be back to try more but first I tried the barbocoa tacos they were amazing ! A little smaller than I prefer but the flavor was amazing & not a lot of grease also ! The service was super quick & staff was very welcoming. I've been coming here for 6 years. The food has always been great no doubt, but as of recently they have a new lady who mainly takes the orders. This is not the first time I have gotten a sense of attitude from her and at that have gotten my order wrong. Whenever I would kindly correct her on the order she would show attitude again. I always tip out of kindness, but at this point I don't think it's fair to me as the customer. Will I still be going here for the food? Absolutely. But I do think they need to work on their staff again prior it was great, now not so much. read more

They were a little hard to find as they are located across the street from a shell station. Their address brings you to a corner where there are 4 food trucks! They are on the side all alone and are setup semi permanently. I found them on Yelp when I looked for tacos. I ordered a couple of beef fajitas tacos and they did not disappoint. I would definitely return just for them. There's a pretty extensive menu of choices. There is a couple of tables with umbrellas to wait under and a covered area with seating also. I was super excited to try this place out based on all of the reviews, but unfortunately did not have the same experience. The service was great and the employees were sweet, but I was disappointed with the food. I ordered fajita, barbacoa, and Al pastor tacos and a fajita quesadilla. Despite the picture and how it looks, the barbacoa was the best in terms of flavor. The food is definitely not what you would expect from an authentic Mexican food truck. They put tomatoes and lettuce in their tacos and quesadillas. If you look at the cheese in the quesadilla, you can tell they used shredded mixed blend cheese that you can get from the grocery store. The Al pastor and fajita meat were pretty dry also. One of the pros of the place is that they don't skimp with the meat. read more

Very impressive! I called on a Tuesday morning at 6:30 am and put in an order for 15 tacos (all different types). I arrived at Taqueria Tex-Taco around 7:15 am. My order was ready, so I paid and was on my way. It was such a seamless transaction! The tacos are delicious. Very authentic with fresh tortillas. The green salsa is good, but spicy for this gringa! 2nd review. Definitely call ahead and order; this will save you a lot of grief especially if you are doing a decent sized order with different items. The biggest issue on prior visits was literally waiting 30 minutes and ending up with the wrong order or missing items. The guy that answered was respectful and explained the menu well. Looks like the menu on Yelp currently have outdated pricing, so the current menu is attached here. We got beef fajita and AL pastor tacos on corn tortillas. They were solid (not the best but still good). Also got a quesadilla just to try it out, and it's also decent but not the best but not the worst. Prices are still very reasonable at $1.75/ taco and there is always a line out the door. Again, not the best tacos ever but in this particular area, I don't think there's anything taste or price wise that is better. read more

Food is always on point!!! And the ladies are always so kind! The service is awesome! It is a food truck but they have places to sit also under a covered patio. My wife and I live the breakfast tacos on Saturday mornings. They're not very expensive and super delicious. We typically get the Randy Taco with no onions and extra salsa on the side. The staff is super nice and very pleasant every time we order on the phone. Even though it's a taco truck, they have some covered seating there for those times you can't wait to get home to dig in. I hate that there are people that are just so, not nice. This was the second time I visited this place for breakfast tacos and o my the two older lady are very unsettling. They never speak to me and just hands me my food and I always say thank you very much. This last visit one of the older lady with blonde hair, didn't speak at all looked with eye contact and did say anything after about 15 seconds of us both in the cold she asked "yes?" Like she's is about to rush me through this then when I get home my corn tortillas are uncooked and is the worst I e ever tasted I have to go home and cook my food more then eat it.
