I got the side of rice & beans and the 4 barria taco meal. The barria tacos were tasty, they just almost had no meat in them and were mostly full of cheese which was super disappointing. Again, good flavor though. The rice was also good. And the beans weren't refried which was different but I enjoyed it as well. The consume was also really good. Great authentic Mexican restaurant in the west valley. It's family owned and operated. Everyone is very nice inside. If you ask them what's the best item on the menu, they'll simply tell you everything is great. So I tested that theory by ordering one of each... Sure enough I realized everything really is good! Menudo is available everyday of the week, which is awesome since most restaurants only offer it on the weekends. Their agua frescas are made fresh daily. The decor inside the place is nice and it truly feels like you're eating homemade food. I got the carnitas taco, quesabirria, and menudo. This was some of the best birria tacos I've had since going to Mexico. As for ambiance the restaurant itself is very welcome and everyone who works there is equally as welcoming and very kind. Overall good experience at Taqueria Tuc-son. The restaurant itself is clean, and still has that new restaurant look to it. Chalkboard menus are still crisp. Printed menus are available as well. Menu has a variety of dishes that are particularly good for a quick lunch. My food was up quickly. Being a taqueria, there are several different tacos to chose from. I know, I know. I went to a taqueria and ordered a quesadilla. It was what sounded good. Carne asada quesadilla definitely delivered. Quesadilla was filled with beef. On the side was a mix of fresh and grilled veggies. I wasn't expecting this, but I'm so glad it came with it. Vegetables really added to the quesadilla. Three sauces were delived to my table. There was an avocado sauce, salsa verde and a salsa rojo. Salas rojo had a rich roasted vegetable flavor with a slow burning heat. Salsa verde was bright and fresh. Avocado was cool and creamy. All had their own flavor profiles. It's hard to choose whether my favorite was the salsa verde or the rojo. I found both to be kind of addictive. A torta was being delivered to another table. It look plentiful and delicious. Next time I may try one of those. There will definitely be a next time. read more

Carne asada tacos were very salty. The meat didn't taste fresh and it was not the best quality.

Service was great! A very small, unassuming place in a not so vibrant area. They were playing the Thursday night NFL game when we walked in. We ordered & they delivered to our table. Help the white folk... Went with a friend, I tried ordering the quesabirria taco plate but mistakenly ordered birria add cheese and ended up with street tacos... my friend said she would have the same and she got birria tacos and ended up with tacos only despite paying the same $22 as me. The girls up front were nice but a few pliers short of a tool box. Too preoccupied on their phones to confirm an order with us that they already looked confused about receiving. All of the food was good but the birria tacos my friend got were very good. We felt unwelcome in the store and the menu is a little confusing the way it's posted on the chalkboard.
