The food is so delicious and you can get a variety of dishes. I order lengua and cabeza tacos. I actually like the green sauce, but both green and red are good and hot They come with the lime and this time the jalapeño. I also ask for light onions. Handmade tortillas on the premise. Yesterday I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito and it was delicious. I was craving another one, ordered I, an egg/chorizo/extra cheese/potato burrito, asked Diane to double wrap it. Well, today when I got my burrito, it wad not doyble-wrapped and was drenched in chorizo oil, making impossible to eat wirh my hands, it was a mess. I decided to take a pic, called the restaurant, spoke with Diane, who told me, I know we didn't double wrap it, we didn't have enough tortillas, and as for the greasy chorizo, we have a different cook and he likes to put the juice "fat" from the chorizo all over the burrito. I was in shock, ice never heard of that, and I've never had a burrito made like that, it's a burrito, should be able to eat it with your hands! Diane apologized with a uncaring tone. Ordered a carnitas torta. She said wait let me see if we still have carnita. What you should know when you run out of an item not make me wait out front while you check. When she returned she asked cach or credit? I said credit is fine. She inputed $1.35 I said what is that for credit charge I said $1.35 that's crazy. I told her I'll pay cash. I handed her two $10 dallor bills she inputs my order and looks a me like I'm trying to rip them of and said you only gave me $10. Is said there are two then that makes $20. I saw this on TikTok and the way it was described I thought it would be great. The birria is really flavorless. Birria pizza was so greasy we couldn't finish it. This is primarily a Birria restaurant. I ordered the Macho Combo despite its misogynistic tone. It was ok. My meal was brought to meat my table despite having to order at the counter. Tasty food with hipster type menu items. I have tasted better Mexican food however this is a great alternative. You most likely will not be disappointed. They have the best Quesa Birria in the high desert - HANDS DOWN. The inside of the restaurant is typical however they also have an outdoor seating option which is nicely decorated. The main reason why I am giving 3 stars is because of their service. The wait for food is long - like 25 mins for a very simply burrito (with no meat) lol. And the cashier and other employees love to talk to one another while you're trying to order. This has happened on three separate visits to the restaurant. You can literally be speaking mid sentence and the cashier would ignore you to talk to other staff OR other staff would just walk up talking and disrupting. No "sorry about that", it's just normal. Went in earlier today for the first time. My husband got the carne asada torta and I got two carne asada sopes with no pico de gallo. I had the watermelon agua fresca and my husband had a coke. Omg, the sopes were delicious! The sope was made fresh there. I can tell from fresh and store bought because I make my own as well. These were made there. The meat was great quality. Very very delicious! The watermelon drink was awesome. Fresh and very tasty. I appreciated that it was mostly the agua/juice, because some places make it thick with lots of pulp. The menudo here is just like what you get homemade at a friend's house at the start of a long weekend. Available on Saturdays and Sundays only. It isn't spicy at all (could use a bit more red chilis) but is very rich tasting. It is cooked with pata which gives a nice body to the broth. There was plenty of tender tripe in there which is just the way I like it. The menudo came with three homemade corn tortillas. These were very good. Any place that has handmade tortillas always is a plus in my book! I got the quesabirria street tacos with consommé to try as well. The portion size was just right. These were medium sized tacos and there were three of them with a small container of consommé. The birria was tender and flavorful. The tacos were crispy on the edges with just the right amount of cheese for me. (I dislike when there is too much and it overwhelms the meat.) The consommé was rich and flavorful with a hint of cloves. If you haven't had your fill of red tacos yet, this is the place to go. STARTED OFF STRONG BUT HAS LOST ITS QUALITY!!! I asked for a chipotle style sauce they had and the worker comes out with a bottle that she tells me they get from el super!!! That's not authentic!!! The quesabirrira tacos are made with homemade tortillas, the most delicious in the HD. The consomé ( meat broth) was flavorful with just the right amount of seasoning. Will definitely be coming back to try their other menu items. The service was authentic. Alma to our order and delivered our food, she was knowledgeable about all items on the menu and very nice and friendly. The environment was calmed and the decor had great Mexican movie legend images. The other lady said she would be right with us. 2 other people were at a table eating. Another customer walked in behind us. We now are both waiting no one came to help us. I was like maybe we should do a mobile order. The time said 15 to 20 minutes. The counter lady came out again she was so rude and was telling us our order was going to be a while like she didn't want any of our business. The lady got mad because I didn't tip on the machine and she felt dumb after I put $5 dollars in the jar. Then they charged me large fries for $8.99 and they gave them to me in a little tiny bag and I've got large fries from them before and they usually put it in a medium sized tray and when I told the lady she got mad because at the end I asked for a refund instead. This would be a 5 star review if I was allowed to have my water tumbler in the restaurant. We Love the Birria tacos, we have been coming here and getting Tacos on Tuesday for many months now. We also get soda so I don't understand why I can't take a sip of water from my tumbler (We do live in the desert dehydration is a thing). That water policy is ridiculous.
