My personal favorite taqueria in the Buford area. Right off of Thompson mill and 100 feet from the HS, Taquito Potosino is the best example of tacos authenticos in the area. Unbeatable prices compared to its competitors in the area, I find myself getting 3 chicken tacos all the way. Sometimes I'll get a chicken burrito which is absolutely outstanding. No need paying double for a Chipotle burrito when you could get one for half the price at TP. Highly recommended! read more

So finding this place is a bit of a challenge! The restaurant is located inside Chevron and does not have a sign to the best of my knowledge. Their menu is very small and doesn't have too many choices. My favorite thing I ordered was the steak gordita for$2.25; it came with cheese and steak sandwiched between two corn tortillas. My second favorite thing I got was the steak taco all the way for $1.75; it came with cheese, lettuce, cilantro, and sour cream. My least favorite has to be the veggie taco! It was disgusting! It came with cheese, lettuce, cilantro, sour cream, and rice. One thing I did not like was that their meat was overcooked and over salty. Their salsa/spicy sauce is really good and I would recommend the gordita! I love that their prices are so cheap, and most definitely coming back! read more

I thought I had found another hidden jewel in the Buford area for quench my love of street tacos and burritos and saw this place on Yelp so I figured I would give it a shot. Like other reviews said, it's a little difficult to find this place as I did not realize it was in the gas station. I arrived to place my to go order and there was a crowd already waiting for their food. I am not going to knock this place for the wait because it's literally a 2 person show (mom and daughter I believe). Kudos to them for working their tails off to get this food out asap. As busy as it was, the daughter was pleasant and took the orders very nicely. I got a couple of tacos for my wife and burrito for myself. I was hoping the food would be worth the wait when I got home but the flavor lacked the punch I was looking for. The steak just didn't hit the spot for me, it a little bland and not very tender. I may give it another shot down the road but for now, I'll stick to Taco Jalisco. read more

These Ladies are cooking up some seriously tasty, seasoned up just right, tender and juicy steak tacos!!! The tacos are well proportioned but the quesadillas are ridiculously HUGE (bring a friend )! OMG! The Best Tacos ever!! I got a late start to my day of fishing ( something called work got in my way) and stopped by the Chevron to fill up the boat. I walked in a saw this line at the back counter and was obviously a little curious. Plus the aroma coming from that little kitchen was amazing. This is a family owned and run Mexican restaurant that has been around 6+ years. The staff is extremely nice the service is quick and the food is very fresh and good portions. Im not going to lie and tell you the food is bad because its not. However the customer service is really bad. They constantly run out of product and close early and i have to drive 20 minutes each way to get to this restaurant. The last time they closed early i had a conversation with the Chevron manager as i purchased some drinks and he told me that they hear that a lot and its a regular occurence (which i already knew.) The next time i went in to eat the daughter actually called me out for talking to someone about the problem. She said if I have a complaint i should talk to her. Number 1, she has no right to tell me who I can or cannot talk to about anything. and number 2, I told her i have talked to her before and nothing changes. I then said "So the issue here ISNT that you run out of product and close early all the time, the problem is that i complained about it?" She answered YES and then told me Im one of the few customers that actually gives them a problem about it lol. So I wont be spending my money there as that is the only avenue i have left to show my displeasure. Girl needs to take a Business 101 class. read more
