I noticed this taco truck at the 76 near Lincoln park for the first time today. After going to an appointment near La Rustica I found myself hungry and decided to give that taco truck a try. I'm so glad I did! The food was excellent, The staff was friendly and the dining area clean and pleasant. I got tacos carnitas and carne asada, both were on point. I opted to try their habanero salsa and it was appropriately spicy as well as tasty. We stopped by Taquitos Feliz for lunch after wandering thru Lincoln Park. I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon and my friend ordered the burrito plate. He loved his order and it looked delicious. The breaky burrito was very large, and had a lot of potatoes, peppers and a decent amount of bacon. I've been to other trucks where there's way too much onions or the onions are cut unevenly and way too big. Just the right amount here. The meat is seasoned beautifully. There is an option of mild, med, hot salsa. The last taco truck I went to only offered hot. And this place provides lime and fire roasted jalapeños- it all tastes amazing together! I must say I am a bit disappointed in my experience here as I had a friend raving about this place. I ordered an adobada burrito and my boyfriend ordered the breakfast burrito. My burrito was ~75-80% rice, with beans and meat intermittently scattered throughout. I requested it with no onions and received largely cut onions inside. It was all cooked thoroughly, but tasted rather bland and required a lot of the (delicious) salsa for flavor. Though the employee seemed rather irritated when I requested additional salsa. Per my boyfriend, the breakfast burrito was decent, but he had nothing to write home about. There is a great, covered seating area next to the truck with 2 large picnic tables. Maybe they're running low on guac at 7pm but it was mostly lettuce??? with a teaspoon of guacamole on top. Not lettuce on the side but straight up lettuce mixed Into the guacamole to make it look like a much bigger serving. And while there was chicken in my chimichanga... there was also some other hard brown mystery meat mixed in that tasted a whole lot like pork (and no it wasn't hard dried beans). If you don't have enough ingredients to make a full dish just say that so folks can order something else. On this most recent visit, I still loved most things but the food quality seems to have gone down. Got the 4 taco combo w/ drink and a junior burrito. Chicken taco was solid as always, spicy pork was good but I'm not a huge pork fan, the beef was overcooked but I felt like had the best flavor of the bunch. The burrito was meh. Seriously the best taco truck in all of Seattle! The prices have always been super reasonable especially for how delicious the food is. Most trucks are double the price for half the flavor. Last time I was there I ordered El Taco plate. You get three tacos with choice of meat, rice, and beans. The workers there are always really nice and the food came out pretty quickly, even though there was a large order ahead of us. My tacos were ok, but I think the salsa they put on there is too spicy. Also, the beans were really runny. Not sure if they are always like that or if they were having an off day. They do have Mexican coke and Jarritos, but unfortunately they don't serve horchata anymore. read more
