This is a great spot to order from with Uber Eats. I haven't had much chance to get out there, but the food was great. They have frequent sales on Uber Eats, so watch for them. We had the great burritos and the tacos, they tasted really authentic and we loved the green sauce as well. I do need to get out there sometime I know, but if you are not able to get out this is a good choice in the delivery scheme of things. read more

I've driven past this place a lot, so I'm glad I finally stopped in to check it out. They are open during COVID for dine in or take out. Los Potrillos means "The Foals" or baby horses, which explains the horse motif on their signs and walls. I'm not quite sure why this location is #4, but they do operate two taco trucks in addition to this restaurant. They have a huge photo menu posted above the register, which is kind of cheesy, but also very helpful in case you don't know what you want. I ordered the Combo Tacos, which is three tacos (your choice of meat), refried beans, and rice. The food was ok, but maybe a little too salty for my taste. They offer free chips here, which is really cool and they taste great. They live in a little warming station and you can help yourself. They also have a free salsa bar. The lady at the register was nice and someone brought our food to our table. They also bus your table when you are finished. read more

Moving from California a few years ago, everyone always says the PNW is lacking in traditional, quality, Mexican food. These people have not been to Los Potrillos [#4]. Los Potrillos is the closest I have found to the greasy but not too greasy, flavorful, made from family recipes, not covered in artisanal corn salsa, Mexican food that I grew up eating. The carnitas is smoky, crispy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. My boyfriend typically ordered carne asada wherever we go, and sometimes the bottom half of the burrito is just dripping with grease - well, not here! You can actually eat the whole thing and it isn't dripping in fat, grease, or gristle. The best part though, the absolute BEST PART, is that they use refried beans. RE-FRIED-BEANS, guys! NO ONE up here uses refried beans. It's always black beans or pintos, but don't worry. The search is over. read more

This Mexican spot is as good as it gets. Even the cashier barely speaks English so you know it'll be good LOL. I ordered a bunch of different things - burritos, quesadillas, tacos, and the entree plates. Everything came out hot and fresh, no complaints about anything. The highlights were definitely the Carnitas plate with its perfectly cooked and crispy pork, as well as the crunchy Tripe Tacos which were an absolute flavorbomb. Best tacos in town! My family and I go there at least twice a month and here is what we love. The steak tacos are a must. The carnitas tacos are my favorite because the pork has a little crisp. My youngest gets the rice and beans as she is under a year old. Finally, I get to enjoy the fried tilapia on special occasions. The fist takes about 25 mins to cook so if you order this, please be patient. Love the salsa bar with radishes and pickled carrots. Give this place a try! read more

It had all the right ingredients but somehow it wasn't good.. -chicken and beef fajitas: again, dry, thin dried/overcooked pieces of meat. The food flavor was overshadowed by it. -Burrito covered with cheese : the best thing I tasted. Basic asada burrito with melted cheese. The refried beans, rice, sour cream, and guacamole were all fine. The food was just disappointing overall. The server was really nice, and that's the best thing about the visit here. For years I've been buying a bean and cheese burrito here. It cost $5.50. I usually add sour cream for $.50 and rice for $.50 more. That brings the total for the burrito at $6.50 before tax. Today they tried selling me the same burrito for $15.50. Mind you there is no meat, just beans and cheese and I add rice and sour cream. I don't know what's wrong with this place or why they think they can all of a sudden charge that much but I'm not paying that much for bean a rice burrito. read more

This is my favorite place to get mulitas and horchata! They are very authentic with their dishes and pretty quick when it comes to making them as well. The quality is consistent across the 4 locations I have been to. I want to try other dishes but I'm stuck on the mulitas! They're so good . I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

What's even better is when I step up to the register (that is, once I've made my food decision from the huge menu), I am greeted in Spanish and am allowed to solely speak in Español. The owner's family is always at one of the tables, Mexicans are cooking in the kitchen and there are Latino customers. These are all pointers to "the real deal." I found out that Los Potrillos is a small, local Seattle chain with locations in Kent, Federal City and Seattle. After ordering your food at the counter, they have a heater machine with perfectly golden chips and a refrigerated spread of tasty salsas from mild to hot. I am a fan of the light green avocado salsa. No matter what I ordered from the large menu, it is always tasty. read more

I chose this place as I am sick and wanted soup and a meal for tomorrow. The soup was not delivered and it was frustrating because I really chose this place based on that. I called the restaurant and a lady answered then put a man on. He was so so rude. Said he sent the soup and when I said I couldn't believe he'd say that he said "I can't believe you!" Btw noted they didn't send it so I am confused why he would respond that way. I will follow up later and find soup tonight. I am just concerned that he reacted that way. Wouldn't forward me to the owner and the driver lost his tip. Zero stars for this place being an asshole while we all are working during this pandemic. I went today because since tequila guamas in West Seattle is no more I've been craving a good burrito. I heard this place had a good one being vegetarian and not doing dairy I asked for the veggie burrito and in lieu of cheese and sour cream give me extra avocado. I got it to go and when I got home I had a burrito stuffed with rice a tiny piece of lettuce and a very thin layer of guacamole. They claim it's beans and rice there were no beans. Come on folks beans are cheap and the damn burrito was $13 and change. This place is awesome!!! I've tried their asada, pastor, and tripe. Tripe is awesome-crunchy goodness, pastor is great texture, not too mushy and can taste the pineapple, the asada is a hit or miss. Sometimes it's perfect, this last time it was really tough. They also have a chip and salsa bar which is awesome bc I always love chips and salsa and tons of green and red salsa for my tacos! The customer service is awesome! Always so friendly when taking orders and very efficient! The only bad thing I would say is the parking. You have to back in and for someone like me who doesn't park like that ever it makes me kind of dread going there. read more

Been here a handful of times. The food is solid and the prices are great. I've had the al pastor here twice. One time it had pineapple and then the next time it did not. I feel like I had to dock a star for inconsistency? Both times were great, though. But I definitely preferred it with the pineapple. The pineapple made it feel special. Food wise I'd give it a 5 star. The menu is extensive and they have horchata and agua fresas. I got the taco plate with carne asada and it was delicious! Their salsas are perfect too, packing plenty of flavor and just the right amount of heat. The 3 star rating I'm giving is due to the service. We came in and ordered around 10:40pm and they closed at 11pm. We sat at a table and waited for our food which came around 11:05pm which was totally fine because there was 2 people that ordered ahead of us. When we got our food there was one other table of people sitting and eating and we started eating too. The girl running the register went to the other table and said "I'm not trying to be rude, but I closed at 11 so I need to ask you guys to leave" then she came to our table to say the same. I find this unacceptable. If your customers were inside before closing you should let them sit and eat their food provided they aren't just sitting there wasting time. Honestly though, the food was good enough I would definitely eat here again. If it hadn't have been so close to closing time it wouldn't have even been an issue. read more

I've had tacos and food around the area did a Doordash on these guys. All I can say is WOW!!! Amazing!!! I live on just near the other side of the bridge in Bellevue and these guys delivered to me some of the best Hispanic food I've had since San Diego! The tacos El Pastor, Asada and Carnitas each super flavorful and on point. The El Pastor had that little kick with the little greasy point that I had to put out the pinky kickstand which catches the end of the taco. The Asada had that smoky wonderful beef taste and the Carnitas heaven. I also ordered breakfast which was Chorizo Con Huevos. It was again nailed it!!! Some places disgrace chorizo but chorizo here is done right. Little spicy kick and a punch down to flavor town!! My friend did the Enchilada Especiales and kaboom!! Knocked out of the park!! Everything was good flavor, what looked like good ingredients and a lot of love!! Thank you good people for the awesome, awesome food!!! read more

Just popped in for a few tacos for dinner and loved it. I know there are other great spots in White Center (my go-to is the truck right now the street), but I decided to give this place a try after reading the blurb in the Seattle Times. The restaurant was empty (6pm on a Tuesday), with 4 tops throughout and a tacky faux brick facade welcome you to a picture menu with assigned numbers. They offer lots of different meat options, but NO vegetarian or vegan option. Pay with a tablet and a Square reader. No beer, but a fridge full of non-alcoholic bevs including a liter of Mexican Coke. The tortilla were HOT and freshly made (thick and still sticky from being cooked). He got rice and beans (always a good test for new Mexican spots), and was impressed with the authentic flavor. We grabbed the green and chunky red salsa from the condiment bar, which also had several more kinds of salsa, radish, and pickled veggies. My BF had their fish tacos (#23 I believe - tacos pescado), which were crispy on the outside with moist, flaky whitefish inside, then topped with crema and cabbage (baja style!), which were really good. I ordered (#1) with 1 tripa (tripe), 1 cabeza (cheek), 1 lengua (tongue), and 1 pastor. The pastor was dripping with achiote juices and had been cooked with pineapple. The lengua was cooked really well, so it was tender and not chewy at all. The cabeza and tripe were the stand outs for me, which were seasoned perfectly; the cabeza was tender and deep with flavor, the tripa cooked to a crisp to mimic the texture and fattiness of bacon. Seriously, they tasted like bacon tacos. I will for sure be back for more tripe tacos. read more

Holy crap, I think I just had a foodgasm! I've been driving by Los Potrillos and never stopped. Today I said, "WHY NOT!?" I'm so glad that I took the time to make the stop. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and the person with me ordered the Carnitas (they substituted chicken for her with no problem). We took the food to go and went on our way.
