    Mexican Paella (A "May Special")

If you haven't been to Taquiza Limon in Brentwood, you're missing out! Great food, good size portions, and reasonable prices. If you are budget conscious and you love tacos, check this place out on "Taco Tuesdays"...you won't believe their price on Mexican (street) tacos, they are awesome . Finally, they have become quite popular since their reopening at this location so they can get busy, but their staff is always friendly and they do their best to deliver prompt service. I recommend this taqueria to anyone looking for good Mexican food in the Brentwood.

Ordered door dash and the food arrived horribly over fried and burnt. Also order was incorrect, ordered a carne asada quesadilla and got a ground beef quesadilla. They obviously don't care about quality and service. Really dissatisfied and disappointed. Will not be back.

We're happy this place is back after being closed for a long time due to a fire. We visited them when they were mainly doing a food truck in their parking lot and the food was still great. Their tortilla soup is amazing and has a unique creaminess to it. Make sure to place your Christmas tamale orders here too. We especially like the queso/pablano tamales. The place is has a nice casual vibe inside and service is always friendly. This is our go-to Mexican restaurant in Brentwood.

This establishment is phenomenal. There are alot good places in the area however its nice to have options. I tried it for the first time last Saturday, and I have already been back!! The food is DELICIOUS!! I love the peaceful ambiance, the location and their prices are right. Enchilladas, tortilla soup, chile rellenos Yummy!!!

The plate itself was scorching hot--I couldn't even pick it up. It honestly felt like the burrito had been microwaved for too long. I ordered the Chile Verde wet burrito and had a similar experience. The plate was extremely hot, the pork was very tough and seemed undercooked for a dish that should be tender, and nearly half of the meat was fat. I also found multiple bay leaves mixed into the burrito. The chips were so heavily salted that they were practically inedible. I actually had to rub some of the salt off before eating them. This was our second visit, and unfortunately, it will probably be our last. Our waitress was very friendly and provided good service, but for the prices they charge, I would rather eat at places like Tu Jalisco or La Costa in Oakley, Guadalajara Taqueria, Taqueria Salsa, or Las Fodongas in Antioch.

(4 guests) We ordered, a breakfast plate, two lunch taco plates, and my wife ordered 4 flutas ala carte. We also ordered 2 coffees, 2 sodas and a Flan. Total bill $106.00 + 10% Tip. Servers were nice, brought out drinks out, with chips and salsa. 15 minutes later the breakfast plate was delivered. I had to ask for silverware, as there wasn't any on the table. 10 minutes later both taco plates were delivered, asked for silverware again. Server asked if there was anything else. Wife asked about her flutas? There was a bit of a scramble and then it appeared that they put the flutas order in. Everyone finished their food, and the Flan was brought out. Flutas finally arrived, wife was not happy. Asked for a togo box and we left. When asked what happened, she had nothing to say and dropped off 2 $5 off passes for our next visit. That's it, nothing more. Hope this helps management/ownership make some useful changes or at least gives them some valuable information.

Over the last 10 years or so , every year , it's gotten worse and worse and worse. With their last night with my family, ordered Carne asada tacos just like I always do and they were completely flavorles and the tortillas horrible. They changed the salsa..why i dont know? That was the only thing left there that tasted decent. If you look on their front door you can plainly see , they used to be really good with all of the awards for the last twenty years For best restaurant in Brentwood, I haven't seen any new ones on the door lately. If you order a meal , the rice and beans are spread so thin on your plate , There's only about three spoonfuls each. They're prices have gone up to just about almost twenty dollars a meal , which is absolutely ridiculous for the quality and quantity of food they give you. For a family of four, me my wife and my 10 year old and 5 year old, it came out to $87. I had 3 tacos, my wife had a burrito and my son's had pizza. $87!!! Plus now they include tip on every check!!! I know why... probably because they weren't getting very good tips. Because the food and service sucks, so now they have to add it to your bill so they get something out of it. And every time summer rolls around and it's ninety degrees outside , you go inside and the ac never works and it's always musky and hot and humid in there as well. I would recommend going to La Fuente downtown Brentwood, they give you 3 times as much food for half the price, and the quality of food is extremely better. Last night , unfortunately , will be the last time I take myself or my family to Jaliscos. I don't know what happened to this place, but they need to figure it out or else they will not be in business very much longer. Considering every time I do go in there , there's maybe 5 people total in the entire restaurant. That should tell you something. And finally... why I even went back to this place after this happened ... Two months ago , we were in there for a family dinner birthday , and I got down to the bottom of my chips and noticed that there was a roach deep fried with my chips at the bottom of the basket. I didn't want to make a big scene and tell everyone at the table. So I kind of just covered it up and sent it back to the kitchen when we were all done. Again, why I went back after that happened? I have no idea.I guess I've just tried to give these people multiple chances to get it right. But they just can't seem to do it If you like expensive flavorless food with very little quantity of rice and beans , this is the place for you.
