This place used to be really good....10 + years ago. This was, and has been my go to spot for the last 20 years! Over the last 10 years or so , every year , it's gotten worse and worse and worse. With their last night with my family, ordered Carne asada tacos just like I always do and they were completely flavorles and the tortillas horrible. They changed the salsa..why i dont know? That was the only thing left there that tasted decent. If you look on their front door you can plainly see , they used to be really good with all of the awards for the last twenty years For best restaurant in Brentwood, I haven't seen any new ones on the door lately. If you order a meal , the rice and beans are spread so thin on your plate , There's only about three spoonfuls each. They're prices have gone up to just about almost twenty dollars a meal , which is absolutely ridiculous for the quality and quantity of food they give you. For a family of four, me my wife and my 10 year old and 5 year old, it came out to $87. I had 3 tacos, my wife had a burrito and my son's had pizza. $87!!! Plus now they include tip on every check!!! I know why... probably because they weren't getting very good tips. Because the food and service sucks, so now they have to add it to your bill so they get something out of it. And every time summer rolls around and it's ninety degrees outside , you go inside and the ac never works and it's always musky and hot and humid in there as well. I would recommend going to La Fuente downtown Brentwood, they give you 3 times as much food for half the price, and the quality of food is extremely better. Last night , unfortunately , will be the last time I take myself or my family to Jaliscos. I don't know what happened to this place, but they need to figure it out or else they will not be in business very much longer. Considering every time I do go in there , there's maybe 5 people total in the entire restaurant. That should tell you something. And finally... why I even went back to this place after this happened ... Two months ago , we were in there for a family dinner birthday , and I got down to the bottom of my chips and noticed that there was a roach deep fried with my chips at the bottom of the basket. I didn't want to make a big scene and tell everyone at the table.So I kind of just covered it up and sent it back to the kitchen when we were all done. Again, why I went back after that happened? I have no idea.I guess I've just tried to give these people multiple chances to get it right.But they just can't seem to do it If you like expensive flavorless food with very little quantity of rice and beans , this is the place for you. read more

I have been searching for a Chilli Releno. I was referred to Jalisco's when I phoned in an order to a different restaurant that didn't serve them. I had been here once before and was very disappointed, but this time I was extremely happy with the food and the service. The rice and pinto beans were also very good. The street tacos were just ok. Place a to go order for two of their super wet burritos with steak. The quality of the food was great. The price seemed a bit higher than what I would have expected but probably about right for this area. I wish they would have given more mole sauce with the burritos. We were also only provided with one salsa which it would have been nice of them to ask if we wanted more since we had ordered two burritos. We would still go back in the future. read more

I made a phone order today thinking the total wouldn't be too expensive. Went to pick up our order and the total was $57.... Order: 3 Birria tacos $7.99 each 1 Fish taco $7.99 each 1 Horchata $6.99 1 Burrito $14 Total $57.57 The carne asada burrito was the smallest burrito I've ever gotten in my life.... It was smaller than a water bottle for $14 Meat was hard and dry. Birria Tacos was the only good part of this meal. We get it inflation and everything costs more now but absolutely not worth the price :/ unfortunately we will not be returning to this establishment, there are many other restaurants around with bigger portions, better quality and inexpensive. read more

I like to patronize the local restaurants, but if they don't make the effort to deliver good quality and value I'm not shy about saying so. 2 tacos and a burrito for $33. The tacos were just ok, but the 'super burrito' was about 7" long and had almost no filling, and definitely no sour cream, tomatoes, etc. that made it the $20 super burrito. read more

Thought I would try this joint again. It did not disappoint,the food was full of salt it had so much we could not eat it!The chili relleno was not cooked had to saw with a knife. The rice was all stuck together.This was a take out I ordered it when I got there and waited for it .The lady brought it and after paying with my card it asked for a tip.This tipping with these machines must stop! We went to this restaurant for the first time. We won't be going back. The food wasn't anything to shout about - it was fine, and our server was quite nice. However, we received the shock of our lives when we received our bill. Two of us had ordered iced tea - which requires teabags and water to make - and we were charged $6.99 for each one! ‼WARNING Had a large party dinner at this restaurant. I was given the bill and went to pay at the register in the corner of the restaurant. When I went to pay, I noticed the total for paying by credit card was significantly larger that the bill I was presented with. No one had communicated this prior to the meal, and it was not advertised on the menu the way the 16% auto gratuity for large parties was. I was informed they charge a 3.5% fee for using a debit/credit Visa card. I did not have cash on me as I did not know how large the bill would be. Once at the front, their tap to pay was not working. We split the bill two ways and were charged the 3.5 percent on top of the larger amount we were already given. The business would not provide an itemized receipt, just receipt for the visa purchase. The total bill was $448 after tip and their 3.5% surcharge - but I was not able to see either of those raw numbers and the manager refused to comply or provide any clarity or explanation. This business is absolutely running a scheme under the 3.5% umbrella as our total charged for paying by card far exceeded what the 3.5% would have been on our original total. This business needs to be looked into and audited. This is not fair to consumers who are unaware of what they will be paying for until the bill is due. The food was not good, none of the kids liked it and the server cared more about hanging out and talking in the kitchen than our table. I have a large threshold when it comes to servers so I get it, but with an empty restaurant- it still took 20 minutes for waters, 15-20 for alcoholic drinks, and we were there for nearly an hour before we were able to order. We STILL really enjoy Jalisco's! We enjoy eating breakfasts here, as well as dinner. The scrambled eggs are always delicious- they use real eggs and you can see & taste the difference! They have the best scrambled eggs around in my opinion!! The oatmeal is good, even a small bowl is very generous. The design and decor inside the restaurant has been refreshed and is very nice. The coffee cups are adorable. The staff are very friendly and the service is fast. If you haven't been, I recommend you go give it a try! read more

Not sure if new cook, management and/or owners but last few visits the food didn't taste same. Salsa for chips seemed jarred, bean dip too salty! Enchilada combo sauce tasted burnt and my husband's asada steak was too chewy and unappetizing. Luckily we filled up with beans and rice. The food is terrific. Service is quick. Prices are reasonable. This is our go to place for Mexican food. We have tried many items but the standouts are the enchiladas verdes, steak ranchero, their burritos, machaca. Great chips and salsa and bean dip. The michelada is great too. Service was great for dinner on a Tuesday. Started with the chips, salsa, and bean dip. He ordered three crispy tacos with shredded chicken. The crispy taco shells are pre-made. I had the chile relleno and fish taco ala cart. The chile relleno was a big serving and was delicious. The fish taco was marinated and pan fried with lots of flavor. Very disappointed. Walked in with my daughter to ask for a to go menu for my folks who just moved to BW and asked me for some recommendations. Had to take photos of actual menu and ended up using the restroom. When I came out I was harrassed by the male cashier because i was not dining on the spot. I dont need a lecture...! I am a previous customer but I guess that means nothing. I proceeded with an offer to buy a Jarritos to abide by policy but made sure to express I would not recommend nor be a continued patron. There's a sign when you walk in that says "no food or drinks" and I get it, but it's 9:30 am and my wife and I were just bringing in Starbucks coffee and we really wanted jaliscos's breakfast. I guess I understand, but it was just coffee. It's not like it was a soft drink from 7-11 or am/pm where I could order a super size big gulp. It was just specialty coffee that we like. My wife did ask if we could bring in our coffees, but with the look on the waitress' face after my wife asked was like I don't think I'm supposed to let you, so we walked out and went to MJ's where they had no problem with us bringing our coffees in. Came here on Saturday for lunch and the food was pretty good but the service is really slow, it took almost 30 minutes to get our food. My family and I got shrimp tacos, veggie quesadilla, and shrimp fajitas (I think) and I think the best were the shrimp fajitas. Quantity is good for price and overall the food was good. read more

Look! Ever since we moved ro Brentwood, we looked for our favorite restaurant. This place is a mile or two from our house, and this had become our FAVORITE restaurant. Their rice and beans are so tasty and drinks will get you for SURE!!! Food comes out hot and fresh too. Also, today, we knew they are GOOD people working there. My husband (who always loses his phone because he drops it all the time) forgot his phone there. He didn't even realized he lost it, 2 hrs later. We came back, and this gentleman handed it to us and knew why we came back lol. Not only do they have great food, they also have great people working there. We've been to this restaurant twice during the past few years and will not return after this last visit. During our most recent trip, I ordered a carne asada burrito and my wife ordered pozole. Initially, I felt our server was friendly and attentive, but that changed after she took our order. I try to be understanding toward restaurants because of the effects of the pandemic, but once we received our food the servers disappeared. Nobody came by to check on our waters or anything until we were done eating. I asked politely for more chips and bean dip and the server never brought them back out. The food was overpriced for what you get, and I'm taking inflation into account here. My burrito was nothing special and the carne asada tasted more like salty steak pieces. It wasn't terrible but not that good either. My wife ended up feeling sick a few hours after eating the pozole. a sign that the food is either not being kept warm properly or they are reheating old food and serving it to customers. By the way, it cost almost $15 for a bowl of that soup. There are much better taquerias in town that offer a better value than this place. Jaliscos is not the worst restaurant out there, but any place that makes someone feel ill after eating has some issues. We won't return. read more
