Walked in 40 min before closing and asked to eat in. The girl looked at us like we had 3 heads, walked over to the register to look at the screen, and then whispered at her coworker that they were closing in 40 minutes with a nasty look on her face. Update 11/2/24 (return visit) We visited Chapala breakfast again. The Huevos A La Mexicana was excellent . The veggies are fresh and when mixed with the scramble eggs results in a wonderful breakfast. Huevos Rancheros Combo is another nice selection. The combination is tasty and makes a good breakfast selection. You can also order the usual American breakfast here too like pancakes, bacon and eggs, etc. if you like. We always order take out and the lady or ladies on the phone are always rude and not helpful. Good luck trying to order a plain taco for a child. I meet my friends here that come from out of town and they are always so happy with the experience. today, I heard my friends saying they loved it here! they even ordered extra potato tacos to take home! Our server, Aubury, was so extra sweet and kept making sure we were OK. She deserves a raise. She's so good. We are fond of the crispy potato tacos here. Our office got lunch delivered (via Grubhub) with a choice of tacos or enchiladas. I chose the enchilada because coworkers had already said the tacos were not good. The ground beef enchilada, beans and rice were very bland. There was a side of guacamole that helped perk things up a bit. I also feel that the burrito was overloaded with beans take away the flavors of my burrito. The most disappointing thing was the price at the end. The lady who served me labeled my order as a fish burrito $18.99 and add 6 shrimp for $9.99 and told me that the price would have stayed the same if she labeled it the way I ordered it. I have to take her word for it but it looks funny. I feel like inflation is out of control it one burrito cost about $35 after taxes. I feel like l wouldn't return here again. Called in a simple order for pickup. Arrived early, went to the counter, confirmed order and paid. There were 5 staff wandering around the restaurant and two tables with customers that already had food. No other customers entered while I was there. After sitting alone for over 10 minutes someone came over and asked my name then went to a shelf behind the register and got my order that had been sitting for a long time. I asked why they didn't give it to me while it was hot and got no answer. Took 5 minutes to get home and of course it was all cold and soggy. The Michelada was bomb! But the margarita, was a bit different. It was okay. To me it tasted like they used regular table salt on the rim, and when I was getting close to finishing my drink it tasted extremely salty...very odd. For our main course, hubby ordered the shrimp crispy taco and enchilada, I ordered the two shrimp enchilada dinner plate. It was good. Would I order it again? No. Yes, it was tastey BUT they put 3 whole medium/large size shrimp in each enchilada. Topped with red sauce. I guess as a foodie, I had high expectations. I thought the shrimp would be cut up, and usually similar seafood dishes I've had like this have been with some type of creamy sauce. Also, to confirm some of the other reviews about the chips...yes, they do taste store bought. And on another note, if you pay cash, you get 15% off. I don't carry cash, so I couldn't take advantage of this. Will I come back, maybe. Would like to try other items, maybe we didn't order the best items on their menu. The Rice was flavorless, the birria sauce was mostly grease without flavor, the taquitos had an aftertaste from the cooking oil, the enchiladas were nothing to talk about.
