This thing was so large i could barely eat half, took the other half home and had it for dinner. Yum. My wife went with the loaded fried topped wit' 3 kinds of cheese, nacho cheese, sour cream and a meat of her choosing and bacon, she chose barbacoa and they accidently gave her fajitas, when they noticed the mistake they offered to redo it but she'd already tasted it and wasn't willing to give it up, yup, that good. Another huge portion that we took a lot of home. Great food and service, we'll be back!

The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you receive. I had the tacos Valdes which is the mini street tacos, my husband had the nachos and we got the kids quesadillas for our son. Let a just say a good 10 min went by before anyone said anything lol it was so flavorful, we had beef fajita and the salsas were good and spicy. Very friendly , family owned type feel. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu! If you are planning to dine in , there is not much space inside so plan accordingly!

Family recently invited me to try this small Missouri City restaurant. Aside from my croissant…read moreadventures, I've been searching for tacos with real flavor--tacos that don't rely on salsa and aren't just typical Tex-Mex, which can be hard to find in this area. The place was unassuming, except for the sign. We arrived around 7ish p.m. on a Friday, and aside from us and a couple of other customers, it was mostly empty--which made me a little apprehensive. There was plenty of parking, and we noticed several pickup orders coming through. I made one mistake before going: I had eaten earlier, so I only ordered two tacos. I tried the fajita taco and the cochinita taco, or Merida-style pork. The fajita taco was simple but flavorful on its own, and the house-made corn tortilla made a difference. The Merida-style pork taco was even better--tender shredded pork with distinct Yucatan flavors and no need for anything extra. My family also tried tacos and gorditas, including a picadillo gordita that looked so good I ordered one too. It was a little messy, but absolutely worth it. Overall, we had a great experience. The owner was welcoming, spent time speaking with us, and clearly cared about the food and flavors. I'm more likely to return to a place where the food has real flavor, and this one does. I gave it 4 stars only because I don't think three items are enough to justify a 5-star rating yet. That means I'll be back and will update my review as I try more. This place may not be for everyone, especially if you expect all Mexican food to taste like Tex-Mex. Mexico has many regional styles, and not all Mexican food is spicy. I appreciated that this restaurant offered flavors that felt distinct and worth trying. I'm not sure why this place isn't busier, but if you're in the area, I highly recommend giving it a try. One little add, the owner shared that Sundays they serve menudo and pozole. I have not tried, but I will update when I do.

It was hopping on a Saturday night, as they have a few other businesses in the same parking lot. Finding a spot was easy for me, but that's because I was lucky. The lot was packed and I just happened to be in the right spot at the right time. I'll take the win. Walking in the restaurant has outdoor seating, and indoor. A pretty good line when we walked in leading up to the door, but it went quickly. About half of the tables on the interior in use, but it was very easy to find a place to sit. Outdoor was about maybe 1/4 capacity. They have a pretty interesting menu, it definitely fits along the gastropub line. I was very tempted to do tacos and burgers but our goal was burgers and I stuck to it. I had the Brie and candied bacon burger. Was it messy? Yes, yes it was. Was it phenomenal? Yes, yes it was. With candied jalapeno, candied bacon, arugula and a fire vinaigrette, this was my favorite burger. The jalapeno was flavored but not spicy. For those who are adverse to heat. The vinaigrette really sets off this burger, on top of the medly of flavors. Cooked to juicy perfection, would 100% get this again. The gal went with the California Burger. Also an excellent choice, but I liked mine more. This one serves up sliced avocado, bacon, tomato, arugula, Swiss, and again, a house vinaigrette. Whoever thought let's make a burger more wet, you were right. That's why we have napkins. Both the truffle fries, and the onion rings sounded good. So we ended up just getting both. The truffle fries had fantastic flavor but it felt like we had the bottom of the bag. All of the fries were very tiny. It's like when you go out for fast food, and it's all the tiny broken pieces at the bottom of your fries. They also come with a nice dipping sauce. Highly recommend. The onion rings were fantastic, I really enjoy how they are battered. I served by themselves, they are delightful. The staff were excellent! They continued to check on everybody and make sure that they had everything they needed, they were busing tables left and right. Very proactive in keeping the place clean and getting seating turned around for the next customer pretty quick. We will definitely be coming back to try more items on their menu. They also have what appears to be an upscale joint next door of the same name with wine. That will also be a place that we'd like to check out in the future. Is it a drive, yes. Is good food and good experience worth the time and effort to get there, it absolutely is. Check them out. See what you think!
