Menu as of 6/19/2026, price of Asada fries is incorrect (now $14.99)
Alice H.

As of June, they have Pastor tacos now! Jamaica agua fresca was my favorite of everything I tried. Tacos were alright but could be even fresher/hotter, overall favorite was the Pastor. When I ate the ribeye tacos, it almost tasted borderline burnt. Asada fries are loaded properly. Prices do need to be updated on their menu. Service is ok, prices are more expensive than usual spots. Lots of potential to be better, especially considering the price being in Sugar Land.

Ribeye tacos were solid and I liked the green sauce on the table, but everything else was either average or not really to my liking - I wasn't a fan of their take on Elotes. It was more like corn in sauce and the cheese smelled funky. The menu felt a bit limited, especially with the meat offerings. I'm used to seeing an extensive list of meats, but here it was only ribeye, asada, chicken, and chicharron - not even pastor! Plenty of seating inside. The owner was nice and walked around to greet guests. Definitely appreciate the personal touch

Chicharron and Asada Tacos

Super fast service and clean dining area. I love the open kitchen concept which you can watch them fire grill cook everything. I've been coming here on Tuesdays for their Taco Tuesday deal, which every taco is only $2 and you have the choice of chicken, asada, and chicharron. Must get their asada tacos! Chunky and smoky meats, consistently well seasoned. They do not cheat on the portion. I will be honest, I'm very disappointed in the chicharron tacos though because it is not crispy pork belly at all. In fact, the meat taste just like al pastor, and also little too salty for me so when I added more spicy condiment, I needed to drink lots of water to wash it down. How can you call this chicharron when there's not even a piece of pork belly? I did asked the server there and she told me that's just how they make the chicharron, so I was little shocked.

I absolutely loved this place! I love how the inside looks kind of retro and everything is black and white. The tacos that I had were excellent and so flavorful. I also feel like the proportion of ingredients in the taco was just right. Sometimes I feel like tacos have too much of one ingredient on it and not enough of another. The service was quick and excellent! I also absolutely loved their Elote. Probably some of the best Elote I have ever had. There is plenty of parking as well! I do feel like the drinks are a little pricey. I paid about $3.50 for a mandarin jarrito.

Solid option to satisfy your Mexican taco cravings. I enjoyed their Tres Amigos taco plate although I did find the meat to be too salty for my taste. The green sauce on the table nicely complimented them tho. I felt they were a bit overpriced for the size. Wish they had options for seafood or veggie tacos. I also tried their elote and really didn't care for the flavors in this. Strange fake cheesy taste. Can't quite explain it. Just not a fan. I even split it w a friend and neither of us could take more than few bites. For an extra 5 dollars this was disappointing. The ambiance is casual and friendly. You order at the counter and they give you a number and they'll bring it to your table. I found the service to be friendly and efficient. Good flavors but I would not go out of my way to try this again.

This place was great! I had the 3 amigos and the chicharrón taco. All of the tacos were delicious! My favorite was their chicken taco. Def recommend trying their tacos! Also, a must get is their asada fries! I also got their elote, which was really good. Be careful with their red salsa, it is spicy! At least it was for me. The horchata was very yummy as well. I will be back for more tacos! Service was quick and super friendly!

These tacos were , I'm from La so I know a good taco when I taste one. My husband and I are foodie hopping and had a taco each, he had the rib eye, I had the asada. It comes with onion, cilantro and guac. If our next stop was not crawfish we would have stayed. My husband said if we don't get out of hear now I'm going back to the counter lol. The prices are very reasonable and the owners were very friendly. We are already planning to come back tomorrow for lunch!! A must try!

Went to this newly opened taco place in sugarland Texas. There is lots of seating inside this restaurant. I ordered a variety of food to try all their menu. I got the 3 amigo taco on flour tortilla which is there chicken, asada, prime ribs. All there were very yummy. Then I got the asada fries. I wish there were more asada. I feel like I was eating ground beef not because of the texture but because of how little there was. I got their elote which was very yummy. The staff were amazing very helpful and kind.

Was pretty excited when I saw a food influencer post a video about this place being open. The area is desperate for a solid taco spot in a sea of asian restaurants. Finally had a chance to try. It was OK. The food I would say is above average. Solid flavors on the ribeye meat from the three taco plate I ordered. Salsas had a nice kick to them. The flour tortilla was nothing really to write about. The one part that made me wince was the prices. The cheese quesadilla was a flour tortilla folded in half with cheese and beans. $3 seems a bit much for that. $15 taco plate. Just the three tacos. $5 per taco seems a bit excessive. Nice staff, place looks nicely done up from when that spot used to be a Pho place. Wish I could like them more, but I don't think the value is there

Friendly staff, fast service. It was quite a line and they knocked everybody out very quick. Very clean restaurant. The tacos are great. I definitely would eat here many times.

Food is amazing. I love their tri meat tacos their black pepper sauce is really really good. They offer complimentary pickles which have shredded cabbage/onions and cauliflower. I wasnt a big fan of the elote coz too sour for me. You can see them grill the meats right from the open kitchen. I came back after the first time try it. The staffs keep the area clean. They do take long time for your order, so either order a head of time, or if you work remote, bring your laptop over to work while waiting for those delicious tacos.

I absolutely wanted to like this place but there were so many misses. I ordered 8 tacos varying in meats & tortilla along with a flan for a total of $48. Now, the price seems to be fine until you experience it & try to justify the price point for the quality of the food. Have I paid more at similar places, yes but the taste was much better. Here they also fall short in the meats. They are dry & didn't really taste like anything really. The tortillas could have saved it but they were terrible. They tasted store bought to me! Overall, I think if youre really craving tacos in the area, this place is your only choice.

Overpriced and flavorless unless you drench it in hot sauce. So many other good Mexican spots in the area.

The chips were fresh and the salsa had a nice flavor definitely a great way to kick off the meal. I ordered the strawberry margarita and it was refreshing, smooth, and hit the spot! We also tried the queso. It was okay, but if you're looking for a more traditional Mexican-style queso, just know this one leans more toward the Velveeta-style cheese dip. My niece ordered the grilled shrimp tacos and gave them a thumbs up! She said they were flavorful and really enjoyed them. (No picture) The atmosphere was a highlight for me. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, and the patio overlooks the lake, creating a relaxing vibe that's perfect for enjoying a meal and drinks. A special shoutout to our server, Jeanette (I believe that was her name)! She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. Overall, this is a really nice spot with good food, great service, and beautiful views. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. I've got my eye on the octopus next time! I'll keep y'all posted. #LoveJonesEats

The place is much larger than I expected from the outside. They have a separate bar area with bar seats & a few tables & then the restaurant has a few different sections including a section with doors if you want to have a private gathering. They also have a decent size patio. Service was good. The server repeatably checked on our party. But this is a Mexican restaurant so let's talk margaritas! I like my margaritas on the rocks, with a nice kick from a reposado premium tequila & a premium orange liqueur, preferably grand marnier. This place absolutely delivers! More importantly, they have consistently made great margaritas for each of my 4 visits. If you want a good tasting, strong margarita go for the black barrel margarita. I would be stunned if you were disappointed. The food is also good. Often you find a place with good drinks but the food isn't so great. Not the case here. I've had the steak quesadillas, the steak fajitas, & the fajita burrito. All good! I was so excited about this new find that I made 7 family members meet me for happy hour and everyone loved both the food & drinks. The complementary chips come with a bean dip & a medium spicy salsa. Come check them out!

Great Mexican restaurant!…read more We ordered the el molcajete, port carnitas tacos and steak and shrimp with a couple of margaritas and I have to say , I was very very pleased with our meals. Since moving here to Texas it has been quite difficult to find a restaurant that serves meals outside of Tex Mex . Something told us to explore the area a bit more and thankfully we did ! El fogon has been one of the most authentic Mexican restaurant we've had so far. In the month of May, my husband and I have ate here twice and every plate that we've ordered have been incredibly delicious. The meats are very tender & seasoned extremely well. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for dishes outside of the typical Tex mex. The menu has so many options and everything looks and smells so good. Their margaritas are made very well which is a bonus! I appreciate the assortment of seating (booths , patio ,tables & bar top ). I loved the decor and cleanliness. Our service each time has been top tier. The staff is friendly , fast and accommodating. Based on our experience both times, we are definitely returning and encouraging friends to try.
